(until I get a real one xd )

A rather annoyed figure sat in the general area of the recreational room, seated in a nice comfortable chair on the sidelines. He had positioned the chair quite close to one of the power outlets on the wall, and he whacked the side of his Compaq brand laptop frequently.

"Damn computer," He muttered under his breath. "If only the stupid bloody thing would work properly for once in it's life..." The strange marsupial-like man had his rounded ears pinned back and his eyes narrowed as he watched the little lights on the side of his laptop blink in a sporadic manner. He was quite annoyed with his current problem, annoyed with the fact that the island did not have a viable wireless internet connection.

"I should write a firely hostile complaint to their tech department." He snorted to himself. "That will teach them to provide us with nothing but this crap."

He looked up from his computer and glanced around the room, wondering if anybody had heard him. He seemed rather self-concious of the fact that he had just talked to himself, for others frequently reminded him that if he talked to himself, he would go crazy.

"Feh, I'm already going crazy in this place...."

Kate walked into the entertainment room, eyes still filed with a little awe. Although she had the doctor for capturing and detaining her on an island, she was glad that it was at least civilization. And this room had all the games that she had ever dreamt of, as well as movies and even books.

Yes, she needed some entertainment. If this transformation is going to be painful, she might as well make the best of her time before the pain. She might even die of pain... Pain was something that she could never tolerate. Same as insects.

Man, she could swear that if someone who is turning into an insect approaches her... She shivered, and shook her head. She would scream, look at the insect person, before screaming again. Chuckling softly, she looked through the games. What could she play today?

Tristan wandered into the rec room, all bandaged up and assisted by a cane (actually a pretty cool carved cane he whipped up himself ) due to the injuries that had landed him on the island. As he entered the room, he noticied the litany of cursing, and noticed the strange, very fuzzy figure sitting at one of the computers that was the source of the curses.

Thinking to himself, "Its just my imagination, they probably just have a really hairy back or something" as he wandered over to the less strange figure over by the hordes of games

---------------------------------------

Nicholas finally woke up from one of his ever increasingly long naps. He’d been curled up on one of the larger squashy orange armchairs, which let his ginger fur and tan trousers to blend in quite nicely, so no one had noticed him for much of the day. He glanced around the room, not even acknowledging anyone’s presence looking for the nearest clock, ever since his change it was hard for him to keep track of the time, and his nocturnal sleep schedule wasn’t helping.

He walked over to the TV where the games console where, his collar jingling slightly with every step. But as he lent on the back of the couch in front of the TV he noticed a girl he didn’t recognize, it didn’t surprise him, he spend so much of his time in his duplex or asleep he hardly knew many of the Islanders. He started blushing through his cheek fur, it still wasn’t good around girls, and he’d rather not embarrass himself, he decided to slink away before she noticed him. However the bell on his collar made that all but impossible.

Hearing the sound of a bell, Tristan turned around to see a huge giger cat starting to sneak off from one of the couches. Still heavily in denial that something was wrong, he wandered over to the cat who was obviously quite distracted by something andgave him a scratch behind the ears while thinking to himself just how odd it was that such a huge cat was allowed to wander about freely, and how it almost looked like it was wearing clothes. Laughing to himself, he mutteres something about the cat being a regular "puss in boots"

“Yeah, who the heck” he was startled and the sudden scratch he felt behind his ears, though he didn’t know who it was, he let him carry on for a few more seconds, did feel quite relaxing. As he did this he instinctively let slip a few purrs. ”Okay thats enough” he thought, as he turned around on all fours and looked up at Tristan.
“As much as I liked that, you really should ask before you go scratching people!” he said, in a particularly cheerful tone of voice. He’d never been so nice to random strangers, it was just another sign of his rapidly changing personality that he too deluded to notice.

O.o Tristan blinks his eyes in confusion "I'm sure I just heard that huge, odd cat just say something to me" he continues to look on with a rather confused, quizzical and almost half amused look while softly saying to himself "The doctor never said anything about that shot I got causing halucinations"

Nicholas stared back at him with an equally puzzled look, though it was hard to tell through his feline features. Judging by what Tristan had just said, he was somehow completely oblivious to what was going on, on the island.
“Your not hallucinating that cat did just say something.” He said through his smile, as he got back on his hind legs, wobbling slightly as he did, he still wasn’t very used to being digitigrade.

Tristan starts laughing to himself, "heheh....ahh, this will make some great material for my stories. Though, how I will explain falling into one of my own stories is another matter altogether, especially since noone's going to believe me once I'm out of here"

Reaching into his vest he pulls out a little notebook and a pencil and quickly scrawls down some notes along with a couple quickie sketches to go along with it. Then, patting the cat on the head (who was somehow now a heck of a lot taller) and saying "so what is going on then? I'm pretty sure that cats don't talk, nor are quite as tall as you" as he moved over to sit down on one of the couches

Nicholas went back down on all fours and followed Tristan to the couch he sat down at. While he wasn’t aware of it, he was behaving a lot like a pet right now, perhaps why he didn’t mind his head being patted.

“How on earth can this guy be so clueless?” he though, wasn’t it obvious he slight had aspects of human anatomy?. “You honestly don’t have any idea what’s doing on here do you?” he’d gotten much more serious now, Tristan had been amusing, but he denial was getting silly now.

"Honestly? no. I came here just the other day to get fixed up after getting a fairly nasty acid bath." pointing out the large portion of his body that was wrapped in bandages "Darned stuff even chewed up my bones, which is why I have the cane, but apparently Dr.Moreau has some sort of medical procedure that can fix that all up, even when its to this degree."

Thinking now that something was really off, Tristan gave himself a little pat (no need to pinch himself, the some of the burns gave the same effect) "well, fancy that, I'm not sleeping so I really must have fallen into one of my own stories.....I suppose this will really be rather interesting" face swiftly shifting to a (only slightly creepy) grin "so then, what going on? native cat people on the island? horrible disfiguring disease? non-lethal radiation mutation? a psycotic doctor randomly luring and kidnaping people to preform experiments on and turn them into animals? Cthulhu coming to eat 1D6 people in the room per turn?" Tristan was obviously far too amused by the whole prospect of strange things happening on the island. Perhaps too much for his own good.

Tristian behavior was getting on Nicholas’ mind, normally people don’t calmly talk to their own hallucinations, but Tristan had al least acknowledge he was aware this was real.
“You where right on your fourth guess” he said grimy, what little cheerfulness he’d had in his voice had all be drained away. “And I really hate to have to tell you this…but, that what the shot was for” he paused for a moment, unsure how he should continue “I’m one of his experiments, I used to be human, mostly, but I guess I’ve come to accept I’m going to be a cat now” he turned away from Tristian, he reminded himself of his worryingly loosing grip on reality, between his sleep and dream it was hard for him to tell what was going on sometimes.

(I can’t help but snigger at the D&D joke XD)

"ahh, for a minute there I was sort've hoping it'd be Cthulhu, cause I could ask him to show me all of his terrible minions and secrets which make people's minds shatter into little pieces and whatnot. Though I suppose the Mad Doctor wouldnt be that bad if he can fix up all these stupid burns and curroded bones I have, infact it may just be rather amusing! Though it still would've been even better to meeet a great old one...ahh, well." Throughout the whole little speach, tristan gave the impression that it was not so much madness that prompted these ideas as it was simple eccentric curiousity

“Oh for the love of-“

“He’s not doing it to be nice, he gave you a serum that’ll turn you into an animal stupid! It might fix you bones but it’s not going to do any favors to the rest of you. He’s done it to everyone who’s ever come here, including me” As he said this he continuously raised his voice as so did his temper.
