Has anyone really noticed that for the most part you're more likely to get laid as a band nerd than as a football player? It's at least that way at my school (primarily because the football team sucks and the band is 5 in state. xp ) But seriously, who better for a band nerd to have a sexual relationship with than another band nerd? On a serious note, there's a degree of maturity and companionship that band students have that enables that kind of relationship to be productive and active that alot of other social organizations in a school don't have. So to all those who think being a band nerd is damning to your sex life, EAT THIS! blaugh
And forgive me if this is a bit mature, but it's true and you know it. mrgreen

There's a former clarinet player from our band (she's since graduated) that slept with almost every guy in the band. *shrugs* I would like to note that the average length of her bf/gf relationship was approximately two weeks... *shrugs* Food for thought.

I know of two color gaurd girls that have gotten pregnent their senior year...I think both fathers are drummers (I know one of them was anyway).
I know it's kinda sad in a way but the kids are adorable though. And as far as I know the fathers are making the effort to be a part of their lives.
As for me, my only relationships were with band guys and my current boyfriend is a musician too (We've been dating for over a year and 3 months now). But we've never done "it" are any of its variations. We're pretty good with the self control.

I've noticed that most band people are very close and know each other well. It's probably due to those long hours of band camp spent with other band people. Actually, I have very few friends outside of band, for the simple reason that band takes up most of my life.

If stuff like that goes on in my band, I don't know about it. I just see people in normal, innocent BF/GF relationships, and that's all I wanna see......

Neko Kafweenu If stuff like that goes on in my band, I don't know about it. I just see people in normal, innocent BF/GF relationships, and that's all I wanna see...... That's definitely all I want to see. But some of my friends that are in band (okay, most of my friends are in band) are perverted. Does that count? They have such sick minds; they can take anything someone says and twist it into a disgusting notion. They've made me pretty good at it too. blaugh I agree with band people being in good relationships though. My friend was convinced I wouldn't get any boyfriends cause I'm in band but I proved her wrong two years back when I got one before she did! IN HER FACE! Although, he was a trumpet player... redface I heard they are good kissers! Not like I know from experience or anything....We're not going out anymore. biggrin But, yes, relationships in our school band are low key. I hope it stays that way... biggrin

i was in a relationship with a flute girl for 8 months to the day. everything was fine, but i ended up getting some strange reputation that even i dont understand, and now im cursed if i think about getting in a relationship with a band girl again.
the flute girl and i broke up because of non-band related reasons.

I've kind of have noticed that. I do notice most band nerds do date other band nerds. But I mean think of it- you spend so much time with them anyways. I'm one of the few who stepped outside the box and didn't date a band nerd (at least for now but who said anything about my past two/three-ish relationships).
But as far as other people's sex lives . . . I only know about people that are relatively close friends . . . but I'm sure there are band peeps who do get out and about.

Way to get a proper and well thought out conversation: Talk to band nerds. 3nodding
Anyway, I'm not talking about sexual activity in the negative connotation. Like I said: degree of maturity.

I've noticed that too. Infact, I don't think I'd date anyone outside of band simply because my life is music centered and it seems that the only mature people in our high school are in band. It's kinda weird though because we're one big happy band family, and there is always constant insest....
....Does it count that most of the non-band people at our school think we're a cult and have massive orgies together?...^^;

My b***h, Jeff, is a senior and is in the Color guard. 3nodding At the end of band-camp party, I hog tied him up with the strapps off my pants; he enjoyed it. Too bad that section leader told me to stop and let him go. gonk
As far as I know, that's about as far down the sex path anyone in band has gotten with eachother.

Interesting, isn't it? At any given time, I can probably think of ten people in the band I can see myself with, and maybe one person outside the band. And yet my only girlfriend to date has been outside the band, and I'm relatively certain that I'm about to start dating another outsider. Strangeness.

I personally think its cute when band people date band people. I dunno. Its like they belong to each other or whatever.
I got into a little skirmish today with my friend who likes (oh, no...but she won't admit it) a trombone player. She thinks that the interest is lame because she also plays trombone and she thinks its kinda weird to date someone in your section. I disagreed (since I saw her flirting with him and everything... whee ). But you know, that's my friend for you.
I really agree about the getting to know people in band better. I mean, you go on all these long trips with them, its kinda hard not to know them well, you know?
