I know there are lots off decisions in a party member but I say Cloud,Tifa and Yuffie are better choices for a party.

Theres no true "best" party. Its all preference really. Like, I always use Cloud Cid and Vincent because they are my preferred characters. You use those as your preferred characters.

best party meaning most favored?
Well i used tifa ( i hold a lot of sympathy/pity for her, yet i torment her by making her stay close to Cloud) Cloud. obviously. and anyone else. It really didn't matter. Except for Cait Sith. I'm sorry but i hated him. and i left him at a very low level. like...50 something? bwahahaa.. ^.^

Well, in my humble opinion, there are 2 different "best" groups. There is the group for beating the bosses with which entails Cloud, RedXIII, and Vincent...at least the way I played. The second group is the one that you should use if you are just trying to level up and grow materia. That group would be Cloud, Cid, and Vincent. They have weapons and armor that have 2x and 3x materia growth, so it's really easy to grow a bunch of mastered materia in areas like the Crater, or near that village with the Lifestream showing through (sorry, forgot its name sweatdrop )

there are no real best party in this game, so just go with who you prefer.
i found whilst my main party always has cloud and tifa the third charictor changes depending on what im doing bassed on each charictors best triats for example yuffie has the best rate of succsess with the morph command, espeacaly when she has her conformer equiped.

Hm. Cloud(because I have to, he's fairly strong, and his limits are lifesavers), Aerith (awesome mage, limits of supreme pwnage, etc.), Vincent (happy medium between fighter and mage, he looks cool, and he's my fave character). This is the party I'd play the entire game with...if I felt like using a shark to actually be able to do that. Which I don't. Blah.

Hmm....well since I still have Aerith I like using Cloud (obvously) and Aerith, and the third member I haven't really chosen a preferred one though I'm sort of favoring Tifa at the moment. xd

usually by preference i love putting cloud and tifa together (but i'm a cloud&aeries fan they're supposed to be together anyways ) so that tifa can suffer, the more she suffers the more i love her and her predicament whee 3nodding whee and then whatever bystandard is there except for cait sith. i don't like cait sith. scream

OMG wat is wrong with u ppl!!! i played the game thorugh almost all the way( as soon as i got cait sith...) with just Cloud, Barret, and Cait Sith!!!they pwn as a team against any odds!!!I used cloud as a power house(obviously....)and barret was a fallback,he was pumpin power also but he was partly there for clouds support...and cait sith i loaded with a bunch of materia XD he was in charge of mostly elixers and casting XDi love his limit with the dice for some reason XD

Actually, he has the only instant death Limit, so he aint a bad choice at all.
