I do i got use to it but yeah I'm section leader of 1 person and the only other person really has problems keeping that horn up. Seriously if she has such a problem why did she switch to baritone she sucks at music anyway doesn't matter wat she plays

Damn those things look heavy, I mean so is the bari but we get a strap, you guys use all muscle. Some how our baritone section is something rediculous like 5 or 6 too.

I play the Marching Baritone, and it doesn't really ever bother me until we get to the run throughs at the end of practice, at which point I can hardly hold up towards the end. But I'm in wieghtlifting class, so it should help (hopefully).

I'm a horn player who started marching baritone this year. Last year, I marched mellophone, and I thought that was bad. My arms kill after every rehearshal now.

im in a baritone section of 5... poor freshmen is all i gotta say.
we marched baritones, but now we march marching euphoniums, and theyre longer than marching baritones and weigh more cuz theyre bigger... and... yeah... i member my fish year... like i couldnt keep it up, but i worked out a lot.
*flexes*
also... if you do at attention right.. you'll end up with bigger muscles in your left arm than your right haha.

Yea, I realized my left arm was stronger than my right arm when I was weightlifting and found out is was easier to lift it with my left arm than my right. And I'm really glad we don't march Euphoniums, those would be a pain to hold. Although the concert ones are a nice break. 3nodding

I march in a section of 6, two freshmen, I'm one, one sophomore, and three juniors, I hate holding it for practically 2 hours and 45 minutes out of three hours! I know I need to make my arms stronger especially if I'm planning on marching it 'til I'm a senior sweatdrop .
