*grabs!* Ooo~ *Stare*............*CHOMP!* My mom was on the telly chatting with someone and just saw me chewing on it. She freaked out, dropped the phone, grabbed me (I had dropped the other peice of Mr. Cricket by now) and rushed me into the bathroom, with which she took a huge wad of toothpaste and started brushing my teeth for me. It really grossed her out. lol ^_^ *Yes I know~ Randomness~*

Anyone else have a similar experience, or just ate a bug for the heck of it?

Can't say that I've eaten a bug, although nowadays there are restaurants that make dishes with them...I can't imagine INTENTIONALLY eating spagetti smothered in worms and other creepy crawlies *shudders violently*

Although I have heard they're an excellent source of protein, but I'd rather eat a steak over chocolate covered ants/grasshoppers anyday!

I've eaten worms, caterpillers, ants *they hurt when they bite your tongue*, and I swallowed a bee once....it stung the back of my throat. NEVER EAT BEES.

Let me tell you a story that will horrify...

When I was about 8, I live in Norfolk VA. The house we lived in had a roach problem, long before we knew about the combat gel (which effectively killed all the roaches when I was older). I went to the kitchen to get a glass of water. In my groggy state I grabbed a cup out of the cabinet and poured the water in and tilted the water back.. swallowing something crunch whole.

I coughed, looked in my glass as I watched the 2nd roach swim around. Needless to say I always, obsessively, look in my glasses now before filling them with any liquid.

Well, that was unfortunate.

Also, I didn't know roaches could swim.

*thinks*

I do have a story to share about bugs, a wasp specifically.

My father had been outside and I brought him a can of pop and then went back inside to do something *what that was I can't remember*. He came inside a couple of hours later and put his pop in the fridge. I was feeling thristy and opened the fridge door and saw the can of pop and I asked if I could have a sip of his pop. He said sure, so I grabbed it and proceeded to take a LONG chug of pop...until I felt something wriggling in my mouth. I quickly spit it out and low and behold on the floor was a wasp STILL ALIVE. I killed it since he was on death's door already...I'm just thankful I didn't get stung eek

xd Oh man.

I've eaten some creepy.. wormy thing by accident. Found it in CHOCOLATE, of ALL PLACES. Couldn't eat chocolate for a good four months. I still have to inspect every inch of it when I do.
Ughughugh.

My worst fear is maggots, mealworms, worms, nightcrawlers, waxworms, caterpillars, slugs, snails, red worms, ALL OF THEM. I'm creeped out just typing the names. The fact that I ATE one once.. urg.

I had a close call along those lines, with similar results. I cracked upon a cookie-chocolate bar thingy, and I saw this little nodule thing, and I'm like 'Is this rice?" and then I saw it wriggle and OH GOD ITS A WORM THING! gonk

*shudder*
