*Tears softly ran down the tiny lioness’s face as she sat herself down beside the rock she and Fedha once played at together. Her body trembled slightly and ears pinned back- though she did not weep. She could keep herself from crying out--she had to. With a soft mew the cub sat alone and silently sat in her own sorrow- for the loss of her friend Fedha- who had left the lands just a few days ago. Even now it seemed too hard for the cub to grasp- why did he have to leave?- why did he leave her behind?*

After leaving her little charge with her mother, Sevati was getting a taste of what it was like to be responsible for another. Lime green eyes scanned the jungle, it was lush even though slightly dry. Her red-tipped paws took her to the stream where she lapped up some water before turning to look for her sister or father. It's been a while since she saw either of them other than sleeping, a while since some quality time was spent together.

*Ausi’s charcoal colored coat slid along side the rock as she moved herself to sit under it’s shadow, her eyes still full of sorrow. Being so young she didn’t understand why her best friend had left her and in her own little mind she felt it was her fault for getting hurt when they were playing. Ausi made fedha leave- that’s all she could think about right now. Letting a soft cry pass her chest the tiny cub sat alone, her body tucking closer to the rock- as if to hide herself from the rest of the world.*

Without her little charge, Sevati felt something stir in her. An emotion she didn't have a name for yet. As she was walking quietly through the trees, a sound came to her. At first she dismissed it as just the sounds of the jungle, but then, something nagged the back of her mind. The fur along the back of her neck stood on end, something wasn't right here. Alarmed, lime green eyes scanned the area, but didn't see anyone. As she continued to walk, the sound was becoming more distinct and more like crying. Someone was crying?! Worry ran through her along with a million and one different questions. Calming herself, she called out softly, "Hello?" With each step, "Hello? Is anyone here?"

*Quickly Ausi’s eyes snapped open and with a deep sigh she pushed her tears back- she wouldn’t let any one see her cry- she couldn’t let that happen. Moving herself out and into the open the cub called back- she knew who it was that was calling her, she couldn’t forget her own sister’s voice.*
"Sevati...?"
*Sniffing softly she sat herself down and looked around, keeping an eye out for her sister. Why was she all the way out here?- Ausi thought, frowning slightly as she stood.*

There was someone out there! Sevati began to feel relief wash over her until she recognized her sister's voice. "Ausi?" Her sister was out here and crying?! With many things now back on her mind, the white cub padded off quietly towards where her sister's voice came from.
Lime green eyes settled on the form in the shadows, her sister. Stopping shortly, her head tilted to the side with a questioning gaze, "I thought I heard someone crying...was that you, Ausi?"

"Crying...? No."
*She looked away slowly, hiding her eyes. She couldn't tell Sevati why she was crying, Ausi was just being silly. Sniffing again she turned and pulled off a fake smile, purring softly at her sister. Inside she was still in tears- what if she never saw her friend again? With sorrow lacing her expression it's wasn’t hard to see that Ausi was upset.*

Getting a better view of her sister, something nagged at the back of Sevati's mind. It had to have been her sister crying, there wasn't anyone else around that answered her except Ausi. Though, why would she be crying? Lime green eyes ran over her sister's body and picked up the tell-tale signs. It was easy to see that Ausi was upset by something, even though she was trying to hide it.
She took a few steps towards her sister before sitting down. Her tail flopped from one side to the other before she spoke in a gentle voice, "Why are you lying to me, Ausi? Do you not trust me?" While she tried not to be hurt at the fact that her sister was trying to lie to her about not crying, she was worried. Worried about her sister and what was upsetting her.

"I do trust you Sevati, I do… I just am... I don’t know... why.."
*With a soft mew the charcoal colored cub moved herself to nuzzle at her sister, tears forming within her soft blue eyes. She whimpered and hid her face. What was she to say? Sevati had never know about her friendship with Fedha- what would it matter if he left? With a deep cry she looked at her sister and spoke out, her voice muffled by her tears and cries.*
"Fedha left. He left because of me.. He was- was my only friend here.. Other then you and Matty.."

As her sister's composure fell and eyes started to water, Sevati felt a tug at her heart. Her sister was crying. Once her sister was close enough to her, she curled her tail around her sister before licking her salty cheeks of the tears. "Tears don't suit you, Ausi." Trying to comfort her sister, it was the least she could do. This was her sister afterall, and she cared for her family above everyone else.
Lime green eyes widen in shock as to why her sister was crying. Her friend had left this lands and left Ausi. Her features soften before she gazed lovingly at her sister. This reminded her of Tumai's words and how there is a time where everyone wants to go off and explore the world. "Should you be sad that he left? Would he want you to be sad?" She paused to tilt her head at her sister, "A friend of mine told me that there is a time in life where one goes off to explore. Perhaps that is what your friend is doing, exploring. And that doesn't mean he won't be back. But you shouldn't be sad that he is gone, for he's not gone...he's still here, right?" She touched her sister's chest gently with her paw, where Ausi's heart would be.

*With every word her sister spoke Ausi felt a bit better inside. Maybe she was right- even if Fedha was gone he would always be with her, in her heart. With a soft Mew she nuzzles her forehead along Sevati’s and sat herself down beside her sister. It would take Ausi time to understand her feelings- but she would never really be without her friend- he would always be in her heart.
With a deep sigh she sniffed and rubbed a paw along her wet nose, thinking to herself. When ever she could she would go and look for him- Ausi felt like she just had to see him again. With a soft smile at her sister the darker coated cub sat still. The two cubs looked like yin-yang, contrasting eachother nicely.*
"Who told you that Sevati? Who spoke those words to you?"

Feeling the gentle nuzzle of foreheads, Sevati felt herself smile. It spread across her features and lit up her face. Out of her two sisters, she had always felt a better connection with Ausi than she did with Matlai. Though, she rarely sees her other sister or mother that much. With her sister next to her, she rested against the dark body and exhaled slowly. It felt nice and peaceful. At her sister's question, lime green eyes lit up as she finally got to tell someone about her new friend!
"I met a pride member not too long ago. His name is Tumai and he's so nice, plus he has a large, fluffy mane." She couldn't help but giggle at the memory of her roaming through it, "He told me about his family, how he's separated from his family but they are still with him, in his heart and memories. And even though they are separated, he still sees them." She turned to look at her sister, "I have no doubt that you'll see Fedha sooner or later, surprises are nice."

*Purring softly into her sister's fur Ausi rested her eyes and relaxed herself. She needed to let this pain go- she would see fedha again- she just had to. With a light smile she listened to her sisters words, finding comfort within them. It was times like this that Ausi was happy to have a sister to talk to- due to her mother and Matti’s illness she felt that Sevati was the only on she could turn to. Unlike her sister's relationship with her father... Ausi and Akamu never seemed to see eye to eye.*
"Thank you Sevait.. Thank you."

As her sister rested against her, Sevati curled her tail around the dark form. It was like Yin and Yang. Ausi and Sevati were completely different, but differences aside, they were sisters and she cared about Ausi deeply. Her lime green eyes turned to look at her big sister with a smile, "I am glad to have helped." She giggled before looking up towards the sky, it looked like it was getting dark. Ah, a good time then. Getting up to her paws, she glanced back towards her sister, "Ausi, want to see the sunset with me? I know a good spot to watch it."

*With a soft smile the Ausi sat herself back and eyed up at the sky. Spending time with her sister made her feel better about herself and her problems. Even if she was jealous of the attention that her father gave to Sevati, Ausi would put that aside right now- to enjoy this time with her younger sibling. Nodding softly she sighed and let her thoughts of Fehda fade- he was her tears… so she would keep him locked away until a later time.*
