At least work was going well... , Winter assured herself as she walked her way towards the park. So much had been going on recently. Pelinore, the 'son' of an old friend had come to live with her after Kinnon's death. He had been an older guy and Pelinore was grown enough, but he had heard about Winter's coming into having a new child about and offered his help. That and she'd been looking for a dependable room mate to help pay the bills. Pel wored at a flourist shop, owned it now with Kinnon having passed on, and made more than enough to help. He had a child of his own, Edan, a boy that had apparently come to life out of a stuffed sheep. A cortlin Pelinore had said.
Cody was more than thrilled. Pelinore had horns himself, oryx horns, but horns none the less, and with Edan living at their place he had someone else close to his age to associate with. It hadn't calmed him down in the least though, Edan's first meeting with Cody was a trip first class to the ground under a pile of bullboy. Cody was almost like a large dog, jumped all over guests soon as they stepped in.
Winter made a habbit of going to the park after work now. It was a good walk from her house and Cody always needed the chance to run around and burn energy. He was larger now, talking better, and minding himself more but still as rowdy as ever. "Now have fun." Winter smiled, patting the boy between the horns carefully. "I'm just gonna sit down. Long day at work.'
Cody flashed her a grin and tore off for the playground, jumping right up on the rope netting to climb his way up into the play castle. He always had a routene for 'warming himself up' for play at the park. Kids or no kids, he always found ways to amuse himself. The base of the playplace already had nics missing from it from the boy's horns. The spring-animals had been kicked around quite a bit, and nearly every tree had been attempted, little scrapes from his hooves could be seen below the lower branches.

The part had seemed like a good place to go to get out and about, to get some fresh air for himself and for Vorel. Now that they were here though Vorel was running circles around him and eyeing the water fountain, hissing under breath and kept looking over at Ligeia waiting. The owl child was able to figure out from the looks and crooning what it was that his dragon was wanting, going over to the fountain and pressed the button on it to make the water come out.
Vorel's eyes widened as he watched the arc of water that came out of the fountain. He sat back for a moment, pushing up to his hindlegs the dragon flicked his tongue out to slurp up some water... then inhaled deeply and gave a 'PUUUUUUFF!' of cold fog from his mouth.
When it cleared Ligeia gave a scree of shock, "VOREL!" He cried, seeing the water that had been coming out now frozen over...

The bull boy started for the slide at a run from the other side of the play castle, throwing himself to his bum at the last second to send himself shooting down the spiraled tube and a few feet away from where it dropped off, landing hard on his hooves and throwing up his hands. "Yeehaw! New record." He grinned, scraping his hoof around in the dirt to make a marker.
The crooning of a nearby dragon perked up the boy's ears. From under the shade of his hat Cody glanced around, lifting a hand to tilt the lip of the hat back away. He knew that croon. It took a moment of looking around before he spotted the two familar forms.
The bullboy smirked, adjusting his hat as he slowly crept his way over, moving as quitely as he could. He liked this guy- he said it was cool that he got tackled. He was a bit bigger now- so it would be -real- cool to get him.

Ligeia reached a gloved hand out to tap his fingers against the frozen water then shook his head, "I hope that you didn't break that." He said, looking it over, if the water froze inside of the pipes it might have been. He shook his head, "Vorel you need to be careful with that breath of yours." He murmured, looking over at the dragon.
Vorel reached his head up and chomped down on the icicle and broke it off the fountain head it was stuck to and chomped on it, crunching.
Ligeia shook his head, oblivious to the fact that there was anything else to worry about aside from the frozen fountain.

Cody inched his way forward, ducking his head into his shoulders as he got right up behind the owl boy. His tail snapped at the air as he curled himself down onto his hooves, listening to the conversation shortly, his ears drawing back as he sized his attack up.
With a burst of laughter, Cody sent himself hurling forward, throwing his arms around the owl boy's back and sending them both into the frozen fountain, not that it would really do anything other than send them sliding around, but it was all in good fun, why not?
"LIGEIA I GOTCHA!" He exclaimed through his laughter.

It was just as easy this time around to floor the owl as it was the last time that it had happened, he was so light weight that it wouldn't take much and given that he wasn't even paying attention. Ligeia gave a squeaking sound as he found himself slipping across the ice that his dragon had so helpfully created whilst being squished by... he looked over his shoulder through his now messy hair, "Ah! Cody!" He said, smiling despite having just been tackled.
He should have known by the tackle who it was, he'd never met anyone else that greeted people quite like the young bull did, "Will you say hello like that everytime we meet?" He asked, amused. if the boy got any bigger he was certain that he'd be squished the next time he tried it.
Vorel sat off to the side, munching on his ice watching as his partner played with his friend. Odd, this was the only one that he played so roughly with he thought to himself. The Frost Dragon didn't really see Cody as anything harmful to Ligeia therefore nothing he should worry about. Bumps and bruises maybe but nothing else more permanent.

The bull boy sat himself up off of Ligeia, dusting himself off as if he actually had something to dust. He was just used to pouncing on people in the turf, getting grass and dirt all over himself. More a habbit now than anything else. "It's how men say hi." He explained matter-of-factually, "Men're tough an' they gotta show it by tacklin', punchin' in the shoulder, an' grunting like this."
He curled his nose up a bit and gave what he thought was a manly grunt, thumping a fist into the owl's shoulder, "That means we're men and friends. 'cause men test eachother for bein' tough all the time. Like the football guys, they hit eachother all the time."
He stood himself up only to slip back to his bum. Hooves and ice- not a good combo. "TOOTIN' TARNATION!" He flipped himself to his belly, knocking on the ice, "Well lookit that!"

Ligeia gave a little grunt at the thumping to his shoulder, giving it a little roll then nodded, "Ahh, makes sense." He murmured, trying to think if his father had ever done that before. For some reason he couldn't see the red haired teacher tackling Hennet or any of the other teachers. Maybe when the kids weren't around? He gave a flutter of his wings finding them to be unharmed and he pushed to his feet, talons helping him to find traction on the ice.
"I guess its a good thing that its hot out, will melt this stuff back to how its supposed to be soon enough." He told Cody, glancing over at Vorel who didn't seem to notice the look or seem to care about the slick mess that had been made by his expulsion of icy breath.
Ligeia held his hand out to the bull child, "Need a hand up?"

"Naw I can do it." Cody was scooting himself over to the side of the fountain, very very slowly, and almost counter productive at times when he'd slip from all fours back to his belly but eventually he pulled himself over to the side of the fountain. Men didn't need help. He was a big mean man and he could get off ice all himself. "Thanks kindly though. I got m' self slipped, I get m'self un-slipped."
He sat himself on the edge of the fountain, looking down at the ice, "I'm gonna go see my dragon egg soon. Dunno what it is just yet but Winter got a note that I'm gonna get one soon." He smiled, puffing his chest out proudly, "I be he'll be all big n' tough too, just my kinda dragon. Yup. And ours can brawl like you an' me do, right? I bet dragons like it."

Ligeia took the easy way passed the ice which was him giving a flutter of his wings to get from where he stood to landing next to Cody, "I figured that I would offer, it was my dragon that made the mess you slipped on after all." He folded his wings to his back, smiling some, "Are you really? That is so exciting. I can remember the first time that I got to see Vorel's egg." He was sure he'd love the dragon at that very moment and he'd not even saw him yet, just the swirly pattern on his egg.
"I'm not sure, Vorel has only seen a couple of dragons and he's not gotten to interact for long periods of time with them. It might be nice for him to get to meet yours and... ah... brawl." He nodded, "So long as they are careful not to hurt one another." Playing like Cody did was one thing but the idea that poor Vorel could be hurt was another.
Vorel pushed up to his feet, moving over to the fountain, scrapping his nails across the surface of the ice to break another chunk of it off, popping it into his mouth and chewed. This made Ligeia smile, "Then again I am sure he will be fine without me worrying overly." It made him sound more like the dracling's mother then his partner.

"Naw I won't let 'em actually heart no one but anyone that really deserves it.... like the paper bag head man." The bull boy still remembered the whole incident at D-corp. The stupid man with the bag on his head had taken him and that oblivious weasel kid into his room, trying to eat their brains but he had been brave! He fought him all himself... woulda won too if Kat didn't step in, "And teachers." He added bitterly.
It probibly wasn't much of a secret that Cody had attacked Kat, not that it actally did any good, he ended up in a headlock and pinned to the ground on the re-bound, but none the less he had tried. It had the corp keeping a closer eye on him.

Ligeia gave a smile at the begining of what Cody said since some bad people might deserve a dragon chasing them though by the end he looked a little unsure about the bull's ideas, shaking his head even, "I... umm... hope that you don't mean all teachers..." He said sounding a bit worried, "Since my father is a teacher I might be a little upset if your dragon tried to eat him." His wings gave a bit of a flap.
Ligeia being upset over it though didn't mean a to terrible lot it? After all since he doubted that he could really do anything about it... He just didn't like the idea, though some of the teachers were a little more difficult then the others his father was a good man, had a good out look on things and treated everyone nicely and fairly.
"Please don't let it ok?" He asked of the bull child.

Cody blinked, watching the owl boy then smirked, the smirk grew to a grin then a flat out laugh. He slapped his knee and shook his head, "Naw naw, I like yer pap. He showed Winter how to find the house n' he never put me in no headlock." He wiped at his eye a bit, "I only 'tacked Kat 'cause one o' the other parents told me the other kids were too so I thought it was a'ight."

Ligeia gave a smile and a sound of relief, "That is good. I would hate to think of my Dad getting hurt." He said, gladdened by the fact that Cody had nothing against his father and thusly no reason to let his dragon try to eat him. Not that Ligeia wouldn't try to stop Cody's dragon but what wasn't the point, especially seeing it hadn't hatched yet, the point was that he didn't have to worry over it. "Thank you."
