You can't love a show like RD as much as we do without collecting some paraphenalia along the way.
They didn't have RD in the States, so there were no tapes or clothing or anything available. I saw it first on Ontario public TV and managed to get The End, Parallel Universe and Queeg on tape before the Ontario station stopped showing RD.
I looked for RD after that for years. (Didn't have a computer or the 'net.) Then one day I got a video catalogue and called the company, and they had the tapes. After that, a friend of mine found the books for me, and my collection was on its way. I have the collection on DVD (with the trading cards), the four books, and one of the series books.
Never could get any of the T-shirts or other fun stuff. (The main thing I wanted and couldn't get was the RD flight jacket. The company in England which sold the jackets said they had never been able to get a jacket through customs. They always got stolen. sad )
I do have a couple of letters from Rob Grant, though. Just replies to some general questions I wrote to him, like asking if the Red Dwarf drink so popular in Australia some years back had anything to do with our RD. (It doesn't.)
I'd love to kow what everyone else has, and what's even available out there. (Sadly, no Talkie Toasters seem to ever have been made.)
What RD paraphenalia do you have that you've mae yourself?

One of my favourite things I've seen is a Starbug playset with a little plastic Crew. They weren't even an inch high, but they were REALLY detailed! Unfortunately I didn't have enough money to buy it because I'd just bought a load of Doctor Who stuff... sweatdrop Oh, and the little Bobble Head things... whee They're so cute, in a freaky kind of way...

I got clothing state side. Then again. It was a PBS channal that was using RD to help fund them. They started with t-shirts then worked up to t-shirts, pins, the smeg-up on types, the lyrcs to the song. I'm sure the station store is still selling RD dvd's and such. evabh, you where just not living in the right state to get them.

I went to Ireland for the weekend, and found a Forbidden Planet[a comic book/collectables store]. Needless to say, it makes me hyper and insane. Anyway, I found a Fearless Lister bobble head ornament for 10 euros. It makes me so so happy. He's standing next to the computer now.
