Name: Calandra Nicknames: Cali Origin/Meaning: Greek, "Singing Bird" Gender: Female Defining marks: Two red-brown bands around her front legs, white across her muzzle that sweeps up into swirls over her eyes
Pack: N/A Mate: N/A Rank Status: Gamma Likes: Singing, sleeping, and pups (though she doesn't know it yet, not having any pups of her own) Dislikes: Wolves who ask too many questions, foreign humans, talking about her past
Personality: Independent and rather quiet, Cali is careful of strangers, unless they're lone pups. Her tragic past((XDDDD)) has left her wary of forming bonds with others, although she longs for a pack that will accept her without too many questions about why she's a loner to begin with. Cali has a beautiful voice and loves to sing stories to the moon at night, even though she's alone in the world. She loves a good laugh, but hasn't had much in her life to laugh at, and her loss of her family and her Friend is a scar that may never heal. Her face reminds her of her family and her past, so she tends to avoid staring at her reflection for any length of time, and gets snappy when people ask questions about her. She'd be a sweet wolf with a charming grin and a great love of life if only some wolf- or wolves- could get her to see the good things in life instead of just the need to live it. However, Calandra's reached the point where she longs for a pack to sing with and is getting just plain tired of being alone, which is the opportunity for her to escape her shell and have fun with life for once, as opposed to just trying to survive in the world with no one to give her support.

This will be revealed in roleplay, I'm sure, but for reference, here is the background for Calandra's unspoken past. Calandra's parents were only loosely related with the local pack, and spent most of their time with a tribe of natives who lived only a little ways from the forest. Both parents had Friends- that is, they had human partners- amongst the tribe, so when Cali's mother became pregnant there was great celebration and the pups were born within the tribe, only the mother and father's Friends allowed in the tent where the birthing of the pups took place.
Calandra was the fourth of five pups to be born that night, and her childhood was spent having fun and frolicking with her siblings. Life was good for them, even if they did live with the tribe more than on their own in the woods, and Calandra made many fond memories in that place. Once she hit adolescence, Calandra managed to do what one of her siblings had already accomplished- Befriend someone from the tribe. The girl and Calandra were inseperable after that, until her world came crashing down around her ears.
Not long after Cali had Befriended Kachina, the tribe was attacked by Strangers who slaughtered nearly all of them- including Calandra's Friend- and killed her parents and all her siblings, as far as she knows. The village was burned down afterwards and Calandra herself just barely escaped with her life. Forced to be on her own when she'd just barely hit adolescency, Calandra has had a hard life and had to learn on her own how to live in the forest without the help of humans or pack.
