Standing on her tip toes, Mignon peered into the upper cabinets. Bread. Did Mignon really want bread? A peanut butter and jelly sandwitch did sound good.
Sinking back to flat feet, she gave her stomach a squeeze. Hmm. She was within safe waist limits, so she could. After grabbing the bread, she got some milk and sat at the table. At least Chaco, or whoever, kept the mansion stocked.

Down the hall and around the corner of the kitchen, a soft, almost inaudible noise had become constant. *Squish* *squish* -*squish**squish* - *squish*...The sound was timed and continued on, although it could be sure that no one yet knew just what it was. The only clue to the mystery, was a series of rather gelatinous looking footprints that held no shape or form at all – save for the texture of what appeared to be a paper towel.
What was this phenomenon? What was causing it? And where was it headed? Only the latter of the questions could be answered at this precise moment, although the other two were not far behind as Crystal rounded the corner to the larder and gave a grand grin as she spotted (what she assumed to be) another Sin.
This was good news indeed! Pouple had been starved for company around her home, so the young woman had taken to frequenting the mansion at completely random intervals. It was doubtful that even the owner knew she was there! Let alone the girl, or not yet anyways. The squishing soon could be heard very close up behind Mignon, and without any regard to ‘personal space’, Crystal lay her hand ontop of the girls’ head and beamed. “ALLO!”
Pouple was not quite so eager. He was held in the other arm of his mother, and only watched with a cautious detachment, while she exhibited the greeting he had come to recognize as such.

Nearly choking on the bite of sandwich, Mignon fell out of her chair and looked up at the woman. Her eyes narrow, she stood, dusted her self off, and took a drink of her milk.
"Hello." She said, tone surprisingly even. "It's not nice to sneek up on people."

Crystal slooowly inclined her head and than tried to make some amends by dusting her off as well. Thankfully, Pouple stopped her before she could further add accidental insult to innocent injury, by whimpering softly and catching her attentions. Crystal made sure he was alright, before bouncing back to the girl and smiling (as well as she could for having tentacles. “Allo! I es so soree, I deedn’t meen tu scaryou! Es you, Sin’aees?”

Blinking at the odd pronounciation, she eyed both woman and baby. "Yes. I'm Mingon, the onion Sin'aeis. Who're you and...." She eyed the baby apprehensivley. It appeared to be male, and it was cute, in an oddly colored sort of way. "And who is this adorable little baby?"

“I es Creestal! And theeses Powpel!” She took the baby from one arm and cradled him up for Mignon to see. The woman had no idea that the tone could even imply anything other than good about her and her child, and proud as she was of him – she had no qualms about showing him off.
Pouple was still unused to it, and tried to hide himself in the folds of his mothers’ clothing, to avoid being discovered although he was obvious to behold. He peered out, looking at her with eyes that carried somewhat of a fear. Odd that he should fear this pretty girl and not his mother (who had tentacles and all such things), but there was cause for his effect, and he remained wary.

"Pouple, huh...?" She gave the burrowing baby a look before going back to all smiles. "C'mere, you cute little guy. Let me get a better look at you." She reached out her arms to try and grab him.
"Don't worry," She assured Crystal, "I handle babies all the time." Well, maybe not all the time. But she had held babies before. Just not recently.

Pouple did the first thing that came to mind, for he had never been picked up quite so suddenly and this was all very new to him. He stuck out his tongue and made to let it latch onto her hand, while he grabbed it and held it there. He wasn’t very strong – but those hooks on his tongue DID come in handy for grabbing onto things.
Crystal had no idea about its intent, and smiled wider. “Aww! I theenk he likes you!”

Well. That was more than a bit weird. But! Mignon was determined to get a better look at the creepy little thing. "Well. Aren't you a friendly little guy?" She asked, somewhat forced smile on her face. She held him up higher so she could get a better look at his face, since he was somewhat attatched to her hand. "Now, you should let me go, because that would be nice!"

Crystal chuckled and patted Mignon on the head. "He cannot `ear you sillee! He es deaf - Jan told me so."
Pouple was not intent on letting go, and rather squeezed a bit, before relinquishing the hold that his tongue had on her hand. It was quickly pulled back in, but if she'd been paying attention - there were teeth on that tongue! A rather odd thing for a baby. He inclined his head slightly and looked back towards his mom, not seeming to have much more interest if he wasn't even close enough to grab ahold.

"Deaf, huh...?" Mignon pulled her mouth to one side and tilted her head. "Well, that must suck for you, huh?" It wasn't clear if she was still talking to the infant or his guardian.
She eyed her hand for a moment before holding Pouple closer to herself. She carefully took one of her curls and tickled his nose with it. Deafness and weird tounge aside, he was cute. "He's adorable. You're lucky to have found him."

“I deed not find him, he wahs left on my sand – and e onlee sucks on hes feeshees.” Apparently, she had no idea that the comment was meant to put her off or otherwise, and took it that the girl only wished to know about his dietary habits. That was ok with her! “He likes to eet feeshees weeth his tung.” As a wise sage would, she nodded, completely serious. Honestly – could she be more oblivious?
Pouple sneezed lightly and grabbed at the curl in fascination. He twisted it and split it, amongst other little tests that only he knew the results of.

Note to self: idioms are not the best things to use while talking to someone who doesn't have the best grasp on the english language. "Well. Hopefully he didn't think I was a fish. I don't think it'd be all that nice to eat me." She'd probably taste horrible, in any case.
She let him play with the curl, but couldn't help but warn him, "No pulling." As long as he didn't try and eat it. She wondered if he'd get a hairball like a cat.

“Naw. You look notheeng like eh feeshee.” She hoped the girl didn’t take that to offense. Some people rather liked the idea of being fish like, and she wasn’t sure if this was one of those people. Crystal fidgeted a little and tried to rescue it. “You CUUD mak veery preety feesh lips, though.”
Pouple didn’t chew on it, opting instead to let it go and begin exploring her features with interest.

"Well, good." Her face was in a slight smile, having practiced facial expressions for hours in the mirror to hide what she really thought. She wasn't thinking nice thoughts.
But she did smile when she noticed Pouple watching her. She laughed quietly and started to tickle his somach.
