Because it finally hit me that we should have a suggestion thread. Uh, suggest stuff! I'll take almost anything into consideration.

Kiry Let's have another photo contest. biggrin Something themed, though not too complicated. Lyrics, or something. :3 Actually, LadyLeonardo just PMed me about that, and we should be trying to work one out. :3 I think she wants to go with "Animal" for the theme. I'm also trying to get Ebi to close up the current contest.

I have a weird idea....
If anyone has watched "Project Runaway" and "America's Next Top Model" this is pretty much the idea that I was planning.
We get a certain number of contestants, (Be it MSD, SD, or dollfie) and then they are given a theme.
Then there's an elmination contest. And this keeps going until there is only one BJD/Dollfie left.
The winner could receive...I dunno...Gold?
...anyway, that's just a suggestion.

Herr Astro Unn, could you explain that a little more please? (maybe I'm half asleep or just stupid, but I don't quite get it. >+< ) It's simple. We get a couple of contestants (let's say 7) then all of them are given a challenge to have a photoshoot for a certain theme. Example: Since there are 7 of them, why not go for the 7 Deadly Sins? So all the dolls will portray one deadly sin. (Note: To prevent duplicates the judges will assign who gets which sin) Another Note: Yes I got this from America's next top model cycle 4. I enjoyed that themeThis is a challenge for the owner to make the clothes and the photoshoot, and to portray the theme with the BJD as a model. And then the judges will eliminate one. There can also be a voting to be fair. then the cycle repeats until there is only 1 bjd left, and that's the winner. Or we could just pick out of all contestants which ones the best. (It's basically like Project Runaway, if ever you know about it)

That's a good idea but a lot (or at least some) of doll owners here don't make their own clothes I think. I know they might feel a little left out or at least at a severe disadvantage.
Still if we did it I'd totally want to be a judge. whee
And yes another photo contest is in the works I think... as soon as I read that PM reply in my inbox. redface I'm SO not on the ball at the moment.

The thing is that if we allow the doll owners to buy their own clothes or something it might put others at a disadvantage too...so...uh...there

We can judge it not on the outfit, but how well they set the theme or mood. Clothes aren't everything [as i keep telling the kids at the high schools i work at rolleyes ].

Thanks. :3 I think that would make more sense to judge on the photo theme/setting... Like, the effort made to match the theme. And to Kiry's comment... OMG NUDIE THEME?! xd

I'll wrangle the mods and see if we can figure out how to organize this, what the prizes would be and whatnot. :3

Question- Can anyone hazard a guess at how long contestants would be given to make the outfits? I doubt that anyone here could finish in the time limits given by Project Runway. sweatdrop
Edit- I'd also like to suggest a theme! biggrin We could have one of the themes be a card deck, like Jack of Spades, Queen of Daimonds, etc.
