The wind blew softly across the tall grasses of the plain. A soft sound emerged from a young mare as she lay down seeking some relief from the heat. Her oceanic blue curls tangled loosely in the tall herbs as she turned her head to glance at the trees behind her, they offered more relief but she enjoyed the long grass so much.
She stood once again to move closer to the trees but as the trees began to sway she felt the sudden urge to join them. She bowed her head to the trees then with a smile she began to prance about the field. She tossed her head this way and that flicking her tail in time to the sounds emitting from grassleapers hiding bellow her giving her the effect of dancing.

Randee spotted a Soquili in the distance that appeared to be dancing in the middle of the plains. What on earth was the Soquili doing?
Randee walked closer to the Soquili.
"Uhm, hello," said Randee, smiling at the blue Soquili.

Lunathiel freezes and whips her head back wildly. She stares wide eyed at the striped mare before her. She looked down, slightly embarressed, she hadn't expected anyone to be around. "Hello."She said before letting out a slight cough. "How long have you been standing there?"

"Not too long," said Randee, giggling, realizing she had embarrassed the other Soquili. "I'm sorry, didn't meant to embarass you or anything. My name is Randee."

She shook her head and steped back stand offishly. "I'm not embarresed!" She said a bit to quickly. "I-I was just...startled...is all..."She paused and turned slightly so she wouldn't have to face the other mare. "I'm called Lunathiel." She said as she regained her previous posture to get rid of her nervous embaresment. She still couldn't believe how she just let her sneak up behind her.

Randee giggled more, seeing Lunathiel being defensive.
"It's nothing to be ashamed about," said Randee through her laughter. "It happens to everyone."
Okay, so, Randee lied. It doesn't happen to everyone. But Randee didn't want to hurt Lunathiel's feelings.

She raised her eyebrows and narrowed her eyes suspiciously. "Does it really?" She asked pouting a little bit. She didn't like feeling judged, even if Randee wasn't. Without waiting for a response she bobbed her head a bit in agrement. "Yeah, I guess it does." She laughed lightly at her own foolishness before casting the zebra a soft smile. "I appologize for freaking out on you like that..."

"It's okay," said Randee, calming down her laughter. "I don't believe I've ever seen you before, are you new around here?"
Randee hadn't been here for too long either, but she knew most of the people in the village. Yet, she doesn't know the Soquili from the other areas.

"Ah...yes I am." She said with a faint smile. "I found my way here a few days ago...you...seem to have been here for a while though." She looked at her eyes closely. The turquoise pools showed more calm then Lunathiel knew how to muster so she must have been around a while, right?

"Actually, I have not been here for too long," said Randee. "But I've been around long enough. May I say, 'Welcome, Lunathiel!'"
Leah rushed over to Randee, seeing her from the woods after going on her daily hunt.
"Hello Randee!" said Leah. Leah spotted the other Soquili. "Who is this?"

"Oh! Well thank you!"She giggled slightly and opened her mouth to speak but paused as a cat looking very much like a snow cheetah appeared before her. She looked down at the feline confused she hadn't encountered one that could speak her langauge like this one. "I'm Lunathiel...but...who are you?" She asked confusion only growing.

"I'm Leah," said Leah. Leah noticed this Soquili was feeling rather nervous and confused. So, Leah did what she normally does around nervous Soquilis...she makes them more nervous.
Leah growled the Soquili, examining her, looking at her like her prey and a piece of meat.
"Leah is, my uh," Randee started, noticing Leah acting strangely. "She's my friend."
*Oh, what is Leah up to now?* thought Randee.

Lunathiel took a few steps backward at the cats fierce growls. She heard Randee's words but didn't take them to heart. She reared back and whinied angrily at the cat walking backwards on her hind legs. She wasn't thinking of hurting the feline at all but she refused to let it treat her like that. Once she felt she was far enough away she let herself drop down softer then most would be able to accomplish.

Leah smirked visciously. Didn't she know better than to try out-running a cheetah? Leah rushed foward, getting to Lunathiel's side instantly and roared at her and chomped her teeth, letting her razor sharp teeth cling.
"Leah! Don't!" shouted Randee, embarassed about Leah's behavior.

Lunathiel looked down at the cheetah more then a little shocked to see her at her side again. She snorted and backed off again, Leah was quickly wearing on her last nerve. "Just go away!" She cried stomping into the ground rapidly flattening the grass and kicking up a birt of a dust cloud.
