Malika had left the pool of water near the site of the first offical pride meeting, where she had been marked. Even though it had been some time she could still feel some of the pain when she moved yet she didn't let it bother her. Eventutally as she moved the pain disappeared and she set about exploring her surroundings. She had yet to do this so she found this to be the perfect time to.
The reason she hadn't done so yet was that she had been hoping to meet the others and get to know them better but she seemed to always miss them. Another reason was because she was afraid to go out alone, afraid of becoming lost but she had pushed those thoughts away and started to walk

The king of the oasis lay silently at the edge of the old building,s the point before the oasis became green grasses and int he distance tall trees. he knew what resided behind those trees, this was after all, his oasis. It was his place and he knew it from top to bottom. Of course, he didn't much expect to see Malika wandering about in the middle of the day. Yawning a bit, the salmon tinted male stretched out his dark claws and opened his golden eyes "Greetings Malika" he whispered, his voice calm, soothing almost. Here was a female whom didn't need to be broken, she was already loyal. A part of him knew her sweetness would only cause ehr pain in the long run, but, he allowed her to keep that sweetness. to break kindness, there was little point when there was no rebellion against him within her.
Smiling lightly the pale males dark mane moved like a waterfall accross his eyes "are you out for an explore?" he questioned a smile lacing his maw. They should explore, this place was their home, so long as they knew it belonged to him, he wished them to know it, knowing the surroundings created better hunters.

Malika was startled by the king. When she realized it was him she instantly bowed to him as her greeting. "Hello lord," She replied to him remaining in her bow for a moment longer before daring to look up at him. She found that this was the best way to show her respect toward him. The white lioness said nothing until he spoke once more.
"I am, I have not explored my surroundings and thought that today would be a most perfect time to do so." Then Malika pause for a brief moment before asking "Is that a bad thing my lord?" The younger lion was afraid that if she did something wrong that he would make her leave and that was her greatest fear.

Nykundu stepped down from the flat survface he had been lazing upon. Once upon a time the rock must have been an upright wall or pillar but now it was almost horizontal with the ground propped up only slightly by another rock.
Stretching slightly he smiled at the young female licking her ears in a greeting "No my dear, it is good to know your surroundings, i will join you on your walk i can show you some things that will help you on your hunts. I know this place very well." Smiling lightly the golden eyed male looked over the small white female. She was pretty though he had given the little female to his seer, she was something very nice to look at, one day no doubt she would produce him some fine cubs for his army, but there was time for that, he could show her his oasis, in deapth.

Malika returned his smile with one of her own. In truth she was glad that he had decided to join her so that she would not be alone. "It would be an honor." Malika told him with a bow of her head.
Being next to him made her realize how much bigger she was. When she had been younger he seemed so much bigger and now, even though he was still bigger than her, he wasn't as big as she had remembered. The lioness realized she must not have noticed when she had been marked and only noticed now. "What do you think would be the best direction to head toward to explore most of the oasis, lord."

Nyekundu smiled lightly. This youngster, she knew exactly how to make him feel like a king. His tail swayed slowly and he nodded his head towards the distant trees. "I will show you a nice little place, few of the pride travel as far as the palm trees or the standing stones. but there is much to see there" Flickering his tail the pale male padded out on to the grassy lands the otehr side of the built up area of the oasis, his large paws taking the ground silently.

"I hope to learn as much as I can, for I believe that the more I know the more useful I can be." Malika replied in her soft quiet tone of voice. Then the lioness started to follow him trying to think of something to say, to strike up an interesting conversation. "If I may be bold, lord, may I ask how you came about this interesting place?"

Nyekundu smiled. Very few had heard the tale of how he came upon the oasis. " i heard a story of this place and followed my paws, with a little help, we found this place, and I claimed it as my own." A slight smirk raised on his pale lips. "Sometimes it is a good thing to listen to your instincts instead of your mind" he stated simply, his golden eyes flashing happily. This place was his and always would be his. Of that he had little doubt.

"Sometimes your mind doubts your instincts and does not believe that it can lead you to where you seek to go...."Malika muttered softly, loud enough for him to hear though. "Of course, my lord, that is simply my opinion on how I believe that at times the mind can be threaten by instinct." The pale lioness said nothing more after that as they walked, she mearly waited for a reply from Nyek.

Nyekundu chuckled. "Sometimes Malika it is easier to trust our instincts. Mine was simply a correct one. of course, had I not come to this place, the gods only know wheer i would be." Nyek chuckled, he could imagine where he would be, probably out slaughtering things without a purpose. He had purpose now, he had a land to rule and plans for the future. In the future, there would be alot mroe land fro him to lord over, he was determined to own all lands, by right they belonged to him. There was no point saying these things to Malika though, she would not understand.
"How are you getting along with Angamika?" the salmon tinted male smiled, he contemplated if the two would breed and he would have more slaves to fuel his army.

"And for that I am glad" Malika replied to him when he said that his was a correct instinct. If he had not been correct she would not have the feeling of belonging that she did. Malika wouldn't have understood what he meant if he had told her of his plans and for now it would be better if she didn't know.
The white lioness glanced over at her king with a smile. "Angamika and I get along well, although I have not seen him in a while." She spoke thoughtfully of the other. "Have you seen him lately, lord?"

Nyekundu licked his lips and smiled, Angamika, no he hadn't seen his seer for a while, but then the cub vanished and reappeared with good tidings so he didn't much mind him not being around all the time. "I'm afraid not, though as you might have seen, Angamika is a strange beast, he has visions, he dissapears for a while, he will come back to you" He smiles lightly, he knew a spark when he saw it, perhaps a breeding between the two would bring more seers to his pride. Seers were a useful source of information.

"I see." Malika replied her ears flattening slightly before they perked up again and the smile returned to her face. She did not want Nyek to see her disappointed or in the least bit upset. "I believe that then the only thing I can do is wait." Glancing over at Nyek she added "Do you believe that is reasonable, my lord?"
Then she went back to staring infront of her to make sure she did not run into anyone and to make sure she did not fall or trip.

Nyekundu chuckled. "indeed, that is all that most of us can do." Smiling lightly the large male padded onwards the belt of trees they were approaching was closer now and he smirked. He liked this place. "I think it is reasonable to wait young one, he will return in time"
The big male smirked. It was good to know his seer had somone looking out for him.

"In time..." She repeated softly. When they came upon the belt of trees, Malika was filled with awe, just like the very first time she saw the beauty of the oasis. She was breathless for a moment before she muttered "Wow....its...its...its so beautiful."
