Okay, I was born in the Philippines, and when I was a little kid (one or two), YuYu Hakusho was released there. I didn't know this until about a year ago, but they changed a lot of things. First off, they changed all the main characters names! And then, since Megumi Ogata was Kurama's seiyuu, they made him a girl! They switched him back when they were at Maze Catsle. But what steams me the most is the fact they made Master Genkai a man... and didn't change her back! Post your thoughts on the subject. Here are some of the examples of the names: Yuusuke- Eugene Keiko-Jenny Kazuma- Alfred Atsuko-Victoria Botan-Charlene Koenma-Jericho Hiei-Vincent Kurama- Denise/Dennis Genkai-Jeremiah Yukina- Mikaela Shizuru-Suzzie EDIT: I just remebered that they called it "Ghostfighter"! Personally, if I were living in the Philippines and discovered the English version, I would be severely jealous. Not to mention upset that they fed us that crap to begin with.
The names really don't fit, and what was the point in switching the names anyway? They couldn't have just left it alone? The whole Kurama thing is kind of funny, though, but Genkai as a man? Eh. I could see where they got that from, though, but the Dark Tournament must have been kind of weird and hard to explain. xDD
I think Kuwabara's more of a Eugene than Yusuke. Alfred? *snort*

But I don't really see how you can get Genkai as a man....O.o Am I blind?

Well, when Yusuke goes to her to train for the DT, she kind of looks like one. At least, I thought it was until I realized it was Genkai.
But like I said, the DT must have been confusing, considering HE would have turned into a HER. xD;

You're right, that IS awkward....O.o And rather disturbing....
I don't know about Genkai looking like a man though (I think the long pinkish hair tipped me off). The only character whose gender I ever confused was Kurama, and that was the first five seconds of the first YYH episode I ever watched....

Well, in some episodes it looks more grey than anything, and when she's moving rapidly and punching Yusuke it's hard to tell. xD
I always knew Kurama was a man...

She's the first Spirit Detective. Genkai told Yuusuke to go to her for advice in the Three Kings Saga. She kinda looks like Sensui
