Nikiana was pushing the cart down the grocery store aisle, trying to keep an eye on her two kids and also pick up everything on her list. She was nearing the front of the store, having worked from the back to the front, when she noticed she'd forgotten something. Groaning, she turned the cart about.
"Come on, girls." Niki's two daughters turned and started after her. They passed by the lobster tank on the way to pick up the cheese the woman had forgotten. Alaqua, intrigued by the moving red things in the tank, slowed and then came to a stop to peer into the water.
Why did they have those things on their hands? They were kinda funny looking...

Azoc had wondered from her guardian like usual. He always knew where to find her though, she always seemed attracted to the seafood section. She especially liked the lobster tank for obious reasons. Though she would never tell her guardian exactly why.
"Hey mister, why you put rubber bands on their claws?" Azoc had run up to the tank and was now jumping up and down over the counter to get the attendents attention. The clerk merely stared at her. Not really sure if he should be answer the talking lobster kid or whether he should stick her in the tank.
"Too keep them from pinching people..."
"Whyyyy?"
"Because it hurts."
Azoc hadn't noticed the Kola girl next to the tank yet.

Ala turned her attention from one of the lobsters, who was trying to climb over another lobster, towards the voice that had piped up. The girl blinked as her gaze fell upon a younger girl, one with claws and a tail just like those things in the tank. She also had the string things coming out of her head!
Curious, Alaqua walked over to the blue lobster girl, reaching up to gently touch one of the antennae.

It twitched and moved away from the touching. Azoc turned to face who had invaded her important conversation witht he adult.
"Yes?" She clacked her claws slowly. What did this fuzzy girl want. And what was she, he had a black nose and gray hair all over her body. How strange. The clerk had snuck away while Azoc had been distracted. No one likes very inquisitive children at her age, especially teenagers.

Ala's green eyes widened as the thing twitched and moved away from her hand. Then the other girl was looking at her, apparently grumpy. A wierd clacking noise drew Alaqua's attention down to the girl's claws.
"No hands?" Alaqua asked, pointing to the girl's arms.

"No. I got claws!" She smiled wryly and lifted her right claw up and snaped it fast. " Look just like dem." She pointed at the tank full of lobsters, with her tail curling up behind her. "Why are you fuzzy?" She reached out with her claw like she was going to touch the other girl.

"Oooh..." Was Ala's comment when Azoc snapped her claw really fast. The girl turned to look back at the tank as the lobster girl pointed. "But you blue instead of red..." The koala girl commented, then blinked at the question.
"Cuz I'm koala. Or part. Koalas have furs." Ala nodded as if agreeing to her own comment.

"I dunno why I am though. I dun think all of em are red. Probably. Maybe" Azoc tilted her head a bit. She'd never really thought about that before. Why was she blue and the others red? Oh well no time for that now.
"Whats a K-Koala? Are they kinda of like cats?" Her antenna drooped at this other puzzeling question. So much she didn't know.

"Oh." Ala was confused that the lobster girl was confused, but it was an odd thing, so maybe no one would know...
"No, koalas not cats. Koalas climb and live in As-Aus-Altr- some other place." The girl couldn't remember the long name of the island her mommy had said that koalas lived on. "But there's koalas at the zoo." She nodded again. Mommy was talking about taking her to the zoo sometime so she could see koalas for real instead of just pictures.

"That must be a really cool place though!" Azoc obiously jumps topics fairly easily, maybe its just the short attention span at her age. "Zoo? Whats that? They wouldn't have lobster there would they? Not if they have them in stores." She nodded as if agreeing with her own statement.

"Yeah, Mommy showed me pictures!" The koala girl nodded happily. There were lots of trees and some funny looking animals in those pictures.
"Hmm... Zoo has lots of different animals... Like bears and tigers and monkeys and koalas and... and... lots of others!"

"So there lots of animals i've never even heard about there? I'll have to ask my dad." Azoc brought a claw up to her mouth to think for a moment. Where was her 'dad' anyways. He was here just a second ago. "i wonder where daddy went." She looked around and sighed. her tail uncurled and flopped down on teh ground along witht he sigh. "He mustta got lost again."

Of course a second ago ment back when she was actually still following him. He was probably on at the other end of the store now. This is why so many parents put their children in the cart basket. "I think he went this way!" And off Azoc ran, down towards the opposite way Sciz had walked. She kept running till she had run into the fresh produce section.
"i think I've been here before." Her antenna drooped, now she was really confused.

Ala followed the lobster girl down the aisle, then paused, looking at all the green things. She liked all these yummy things. "Oooh, celery!" The girl grabbed a stalk and started to nibble on it. "No Daddys heres?" She asked around the celery in her mouth.
