I'll start by posting a join request I have received: Quote: i would like to join your guild, bcos... altho i am only 15, most of the music i listen to is classic rock, my fav band is aerosmith, steven tyler is god! and i just feel that more peopl should enjoy the bands that brought rock into our worls today smile I like how they actually came up with something, and didn't just say things like "lemme in ur guild cuz im teh awsom", but I'm not sure of the grammar. Although they did say Steven Tyler is god. That's always a plus in my book.

Good idea, 'cause as I'm sure you know, if the ONLY classic rock band that person likes is Aerosmith, it won't work out...(I know they said most of it is classic rock, but I've had people that only listen to s**t like Slipknot tell me that they love death metal..so yeah. xp )

Harvested Sorrow Good idea, 'cause as I'm sure you know, if the ONLY classic rock band that person likes is Aerosmith, it won't work out...(I know they said most of it is classic rock, but I've had people that only listen to s**t like Slipknot tell me that they love death metal..so yeah. xp ) Oh, trust me, I know of the poor abuse of the metal forum. And worse. There was a kid who sat in front of me in resource, and one day he started talking to me. "Do you have any good metal CDs? I only listen to Metal. Like Metallica." Me: "Nope, all I've got is Led Zeppelin at the moment." Kid: "Led Zeppelin? I've never heard of him." Me and both the kids on either side of me then began to carry out a real life version of Gaia's flaming.

Harvested Sorrow Seeing as Zeppelin isn't metal, that's understandable. xp However, you should have asked him about what other bands he liked...he was probably one of those mallcore kids who only likes Black Sabbath and Metallica, and a bunch of mallcore s**t. Yeah, but Led Zeppelin was a big metal influence. And our school loves Led Zeppelin. The favorite band poll in our yearbook showed that AC/DC was the school's favorite band. And I'm proud to say that I voted for them. And I knew the kid already, and the only metal band he knew of was Metallica. And he talked about chinchillas all the time. REAL hardcore kids like to talk about rodents.

Yes, yes, blues was the main influence for rock. In fact, I just read an article that had an interview with Elvis in it.. He was commenting on how some say he invented rock and roll, and he said, "Rock and roll has been around for a long time now. It was called rhythm and blues." Or something along the lines of that. They poll us on everything.. Let me go find my yearbook and tell you the top five (that's all they put in it)... 1. AC/DC 2. Linkin Park 3. Outkast 4. The Beatles 5. Metallica All the awesome kids voted AC/DC. All the poser hardcore kids or just regular kids voted Linkin Park. All the rap fans voted Outkast. All the other awesome people voted the Beatles. And all the mallcore kids voted Metallica. I had a friend who voted Linkin Park, and the entire year he was bragging about how LP was goign to win the poll. Well hahaha, that really backfired on him.
