[ Nyoka was hiding from the darkness. She wanted the sun to rise so she could move freely and charminly. The goldenrod snake was sore from the harsh night and as the sun began to show it's self on the horixzon she used all her strenght to crawl out from under her secluded hiding spot. The golden grass was a great cober of her. He shining scales matched her suroundings and made her feel more at home. The new air as heaven to her. She lived for early mornings when everything was still freah and clean.
She was begining to warm up and move even more when the wind began to rustle the grass around her. "Stop that!" She laughed as the blades danced around her in a mezmorising fashion, tickling her back and head as they did. Myoka thought that if they were snakes they would have been lovely dancers that could bring joy to the hearts that saw them. She smiled at them before closing her eyes to warm up even more. ]

The cyan snake slithered around the Pride Lands, expaning his knowledge of the world and everything around him. The sun was rising and that meant every other animal in the Pride Lands too. He was sort of new to the territory, only a month or so, and was just getting used to the things around him.
Mkarag's tongue flicked, taking in the scent of the morning air. He slithered over the savannah when the scent of another cold-blooded animal hit him. The scent stung him with intrest, a female, surround by grass, and not too far. Quickly he made his way to the female.

[ The rustling grass made her eyes shoot open. It wasn't natural sounding. Something unknown to her was moving around near her. She shot her tounge out several times before realizing that It was probobly nothing to worry about. Then, on the last flich, she cought the sent of another snake. Oh no! What If this other wanted to take her spot? That wouldn't be much fun for her anymore. She'd have to wander around.
He head turned as she saw a flick of a blue color in the grass. This must be the other that was going to take her spot! Although... She didn't know for sure if it would. Nyoka was just set on the idea. She wasn't the brightest snake in Africa and she never thought about things in different ways once she was set on an idea. ]

Mkarag pushed his head outand flicked his tongue to get a sense of direction when it brushed up against another similar surface. Quickly, he recoiled. "Sssorry!" he apologized, wrapping himself up trying not to defend he just....licked. He flicked his tongue once more, it was the female. The male uncoiled himself and sat there.
"Hello, there. I am Mkaragaro." he greeted with a slight bow. "And who may you be?" he asked, the last word rolling off his tonuge. The female seemed defensive to him, or it could just be that she didn't like him.

[ Nyoka stared down at him. Maybe she was wrong about him being a rock snatcher. She loosened up and offered up a warm smile. "Don't sssat sssorry if there is nothing done wrong." She told him with her head held high. It was the smartest thing she had said in days. But, She was usually talking to herself. This was the first time she had seen another snake. But she felt some others presence from time to time.
"Hello there." She greeted kindly, "I'm Nyoka." She looked at him and slid off her small rock. "Do you have a shorter name? I might forget if you don't." She felt stupid. She couldn't remember anything that was that long. Never could. ]

((Snakes don't blink. No eyelids XD ROFL!))
"Mkarag, only one I can think of." he replied, holding his head tall to match her's. He had seen a few snakes, but often times they disappear with a significant other. This female seemed alone, "Then I ssshall take back my sssorry." he said with another bow.
It was strange to meet a female, alone here in the Pride Lands. All the ones he met had mates or never planned to mate. "Nyoka, what do you know of the Pride Lands?" he asked.
Strange, he journeyed to obtain knowledge....but did he also seek to obtain something else?

[ She nodded. "I can remember that name." She said quietly and calmly. She was calm by nature, but she was louder than this when she was alone and speaking to herself to hear her own comforting words. She kept smiling. "Please do." She said politely at stared at him, since snakes can't blink.
She was so glad that she had found another snake to hear things from. Her own voice was getting old. She shook her head. "Nothing. I know nothing. Other than I live here." All that she had ever known was that is was her beautiful home, full of wonders and little joys. ]

Mkarag tilted his head. She was rather nice. "Nyoka. Would you mind if Istay with you for a while?" he asked, rather blunt too. "You see, for a month now, I have been sleeping in the opened and I would like to have a nice place to stay, somewhere where I cannot be hurt or eaten." It was a stretch but what other option did he have? He needed a place to stay, perhaps?
"I'd understand if you do not wish for me to stay with you, Nyoka." he added.

[ Nyoka pulled herself back a bit. They had hardly met and he wanted to stay with her. It was odd, but she reluctantly aggreed. "My rock, is your rock." She said hapily. There was an upside to him staying, She wouldn't be alone. "If you really want to live with me, I'm fine with it." Well, at least he didn't beat around the bush when he asked her. ]

Mkarag smiled. He had a sudo home, a temporary home for a while. But what got the female to agree? Mkarag flicked his tongue and slithered to her side, "Nyoka, would you like to lead the way?" he asked, dipping his head. The snake could have simply used his tongue to follow her scent back, but it wouldn't be the same thing if she directed.
"And....thank you."

[ She looked at him, half confused, before squeezing through a hole under her rock. She had found it one day while slithering around. When she stuck her head into the hole it was large enough to fit a few more snakes comfortably. Nyoka had always wondered why such a place was abandond. It was such a nice place to sleep at night and the rock that was over it protected the hole from the elements.
"You're very welcome." She told him politely. ]

Mkarag smiled, the small home seemed spacious, much more than for one snake. He flicked his tongue, the home smelt heavily of the female though she lived there.
"It is a nice home, Nyoka. You live here by yourself? Must be lucky to be alone." he spoke, slithering around the spacious home. It was a nice place. The snake simply smiled back at her.

[ She nodded. "Yes. I live here all by myself." She didn't seem happy about it though. She didn't like being alone. It bugged her in the slightest bit, not finding it lucky at all. "Well, I won't be alone if you choose to stay." She hoped he'd never leave though. COmpany was always good. ]

"I'll ssstay until my company is no longer needed." he flicked his tongue again and slithered to her side. "But that won't be for a long while, right?" the snake smiled. Mkarag didn't really want to leave. He had nowhere else to go. He wanted to have a place that he can call home....forever.
"Going anywhere?" he asked remember finding her in the tall grass just moments ago, "May I join you?"

[ Nyoka crawled her way through the hole and back ontop of the rock, hanging her head over to see if Mkarag would follow or not. "Well, Thankyou for that." She laughed, "And yesss. Probobly not for a long while." She was happy that he offered to stay with her for as long as she wanted him to. It would be much easier for her than to have to let go of her new companion.
"Well, if thisss rock isss anywhere, then yesss. And yess to joining me." ]
