The lake was calm, the water laped gently at the shoreline as the silver moonlight danced across its surface. The sky was clear, the moon full and the cloak of night glittered with a million gems known as stars. Thunderous hoove beats broke the silence of the night, the pale mare darted between the trees. A melodic chime rang through the air, music hardling her arrival to this place of stillness. She was winter, here in high summer. The icy mare slowed her approch and quietly bent down to drink from the mirror like surface. Frost formed ontop of the water around her as she drank deeply, soon even chunks of ice floated around her.

Entreri heard a melodic chime adn hoofs running but then it stopped. perking his intrerst he silently mad ehis way where he heard the noise and wa quite confadent he knew where he was going. it did not take him long before he saw a mare who from the looks of it was a ice mare. studing her from the shadows, he waited a bit before stepping out in the open.

Shiva heard his hoovefalls before he made himself known, she knew those eyes that watched her from the shadows and yet she did nothing. She continued about her night, drinking deeply from the cold water of the lake. Almost as if she was ignoring his very pressance. Finally she turned her head and looked into the distance where he stood. The alicorn was dark, even his horn glinted black in the night. He almost sent a chill down her spine at the sight of him. She watched him, as she always watched others, intent and full of intrige.

Entreri let a smirk come across his face as the icy mare noticed him. giving a slight bow to her, he walked slowly over to the water as he wanted some water. reaching the waters edge he lowered his head and drank his fill of the cold water that seemed even colder from the ice mare. now done drinking he lifted his head and toosed his mane. looking at her again he finaly spoke. " if i may ask whom might you be ice mare?" he had a cool calculating mind and kept his eyes on her and her movements.

Shiva looked at him with an expressionless gaze, while she was also cunning and calulatory she didnt often show it as she stared at him and watched his movments. He was cocky, she finally settled on and nodded her head, again the light chimes following her movements. "I Am Shiva... and You Dark Alicorn?" she asked her voice was smooth and bitter cold, as if a windswept valley after a snow.

Entreri ofcourse was cocky but never was too cocky as he new better than to be. " i am Artemis Entreri and its my pleasure to meet you." giving another sligh bow, he always was polite to a certian degree to others so that he may use them if need be later and have things in his favor. still eyeing Shiver as he came up from the bow, he knew that under that expressionless face, she was watching him and his movements like he was doing to her.

Shiva offered him a small smile after a moment. Her Icy blue eyes sparkled as the silver moon light washed over her. She Tilted her head ever so softly to the right, sending a curtain of blue tresses spilling over her shoulder. Like a song bird chorus her rings chimed. "Artemis Entreri. " She said, her voice louder more sure and stronger than before. "Pleasure to meet you..." she said, thinking 'so far' in the back of her mind. This Male was as sly a a cat and slippery as a seal, and she wondered what had brought him out here on this evening. Just what did he have in mind...

Entreri ruffled his wings alittle as he was one of action not standing about. " no, no, the pleasures mine." he certainly was sly one and as he stood there he pondered if Shiva was new around here as well. walking lightly around her for a moment he then faced her again. " you dont happen to know this area do you? i do ve to admit im new to th area." raising a brow, he wondered what might she say. so far he really could not tell much about Shiva, but he could she was quite cunning.

Shiva shruged her shoulders and turned her head to look over the lake. The surface was like that of glass reflecting the veiw of the night sky. The wind lightly sent the stars and moon dancing across its surface, It was a beautiful sight to behold.
Shiva took a step closed to the lake, her front hoove stepping into the water sending ripples from her gentle step. Ice quickly began to form on the surface of the water, snaking and drifting out beyond her touch. She bent low to drink again, as if ignoring his words entirely. At length, after she had drank her fill she spoke. "No, I havent been in this area long. "

Entreri watched her go to get a drink again. raising a brow as ice formed from her touching the water, he found that an amazing ablity. walking lightly to get another drink again he ruffled his wings again and shruged. "oh well i guess i have some wandering to do then." he lowered his head to drink and pondered things as he drank. lifting his head, to him not knowing the area was a pain atlest in his cunning mind. walking way only far enough to strech his wings and not hit SHiva, he stopped and spreed out his jet black and red wings then put them back to his side.

Shiva slowly lifted her head and looked at him with an expression that read bored interest, but in truth it was much more than that. She had never seen a winged soquili before. In her homeland of the north such things where very rare and spoken of in legand. She supposed the winds and snow flurries made it hard for winged soquili to fly and that was why many didnt call the north home. Still, this stranger wasnt from around here either, so where did he hail from. Was there a colony of winged Soquili with horns atop their heads? Her mind raced with a million questions but she kept them all at bay and only nodded her head at his remark. "Most likely. Depends on where you are going."

Entreri slowly was geting bored and shruged as he turned around. " true enough but i think with these wings." he spreed them out again. " i can get to know the area quite well atlest from the air." closing his wings to his side, he shifted them a bit. even though his wings wanted to contiune to shift as he was starting to have pent up energy, he kept them under control quite well. eyeing her once more, to him it seemed she was acting like she was bored, but still he could not tell what she was really thinking.

Shiva sighed softly and lowered her head, this was being quite droll. Them acting high and mighty, weary of one another. Its not that shiva wanted to make friends, she was just tired of the dance. Tired of the act..."True, Im sure those winds could carry you to the ends of the earth and back." she said, a light chuckle escaping her. She shruged her shouders, that melodic chime following her movements. "You know I have never seen another like you..."

Entreri shrugged and a dark glint came to his eyes. "i have heard my kind are very rare but then i by far am totaly different than any of them." he can be get along or become ones enemy it just how he was. cunning and sly he knew how to get informantion if he want or find soemthing about another if he truly wanted. listening to the melodic chime that followed her her moments, he found it the most interesting sounds, which was wha thad drawn him to where he was now.

"Your kind must be rare indeed, for I have never before seen the likes of you." she said, apprasing him with her stare. Her eyes washed over him, taking note of every little detail. "The horn, a good weapon or for show? " she asked him, it looked decorative yet that red glint seemed to hint at more sinister uses.
