This thread is very important - if you have very little sex education, are unsure/unclear of the basics or are just lacking in general knowledge, then read on! smile

WARNING: This thread contains explicit information about sexual acts, sexual intercourse, and the basics of male and female anatomy, among other things. If any of these topics bother/disturb you, or if they make you uncomfortable, then please leave this thread now. This thread will include pictures of basic male and female anatomy, but they're for education purposes only and will be linked instead of posted normally. You've been warned fairly, so please don't flame me.

Basic Sex Education

I guess I'll start with the male and female reproductive systems.
Information for the section on male and female reproductive systems is taken from: http://www.mypleasure.com/education/sexed/reproduction.asp

The Female Reproductive System

Female genitalia is usually grouped into two types of sex organs: internal and external. External organs include the sensitive and erotic sex organs: mons pubis, v****a, labia majora, labia minora and clitoris (also known collectively as the vulva). Internal organs include the uterus, Fallopian tubes and ovaries, which contain the female's sex cells: the ova, or eggs. Unlike the male, the female does not continue to produce sex cells throughout her life. Rather, each female is born with an individual quantity of unripened eggs already in place. Each month, an egg is released from one of the ovaries and moves into one of the Fallopian tubes, where it travels down towards the uterus. If fertilization occurs, the egg clings to the uterine wall and begins to develop into a fetus, which is nurtured by the rich lining of the uterus for nine months, until it is ready to move down the vaginal canal and into the world. If the egg is not fertilized, it passes out of the uterus through the cervix, along with a portion of the no-longer-necessary uterine membrane the uterus had prepared for fertilization--this is a woman's menstrual period. Most women are also born with a hymen, a thin membrane that lies on the inside of the v****a. Some blood may issue from the tearing of this membrane during first intercourse. Although different cultures may attach an importance to this as a sign of virginity, the hymen often is torn during the course of normal daily activities long before a woman may ever have intercourse.

EDIT 8/24: It's been brought to my attention that the hymen is apparently on the exterior of the v****a, at the vaginal entrance. You can see a picture of it here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/Nikolita/hymen1.jpg

The Female Breast

"Breast tissue is comprised of fat, glands, blood vessels, milk ducts, connective tissue, nerves and a lacy network of lymphatic vessels. The lymphatic fluid leaves the breast through this network of lymphatic vessels that empty into a system of kidney-shaped glands which filter lymph fluid called lymph nodes. These lymph nodes are linked throughout the body and act as a major line of defense against the spread of disease in the body. When lymphatic vessels and nodes become restricted through lack of physical movement, or clothing that is too tight, the body?s defense system begins to break down and disease can set in." The Male Reproductive System

The male reproductive system is almost entirely external. The p***s consists of the urethra, the shaft, a number of sensitive nerve endings, and the glans, also known as the head of the p***s, which is covered with the foreskin, a loose layer of skin often surgically removed in a procedure known as circumcision. Testicles (testis singular, testes plural) are the male gonads, the organs that produce sperm. Most men have two testes, which are suspended from the body by the spermatic cord and rest inside the scrotum, a sac that hangs under the p***s. Divided internally into two pouches by a thin membrane, the scrotum is covered by an outer layer of thin, wrinkled skin which in turn covers a layer of muscle, which acts as a protective covering and serves to maintain the testicular temperature at about 2 degrees below abdominal temperature. Sperm is produced in the testes, then travels through the vas deferens, seminal vesicles and prostate; en route, it picks up testosterone, seminal fluid and prostate fluid, all of which combine to form semen. When a man experiences sexual arousal, the p***s fills with blood and becomes erect. At climax, semen, filled with several million sperm, shoots from the urethra and tries to fertilize an egg. If the sperm is successful, a fetus forms over the next several months. If not, it's no big deal for the reproductive system--it produces several billion sperm a day!

The Ever-Persistent Question: "How Big Should My p***s Be?"

Ipstenu
According to the latest Kinsey report, the average p***s length is 6.16 inches. The average girth is 4.84 inches.

From Wikipedia
Quote:
The question of race and p***s size is controversial, and has not been definitively established. The only reliable p***s-size studies commonly quoted in the literature are the Kinsey study, the UCSF study, and an Italian study, none of which even attempted to correlate size with race. This study is not likely to answer the question either. There have been many other studies with claims of varying rigor?for example, the LifeStyles condoms study?but they are generally flawed by selection bias.

Frantz Fanon covers this subject in some detail in Black Skin, White Masks (1952), where he tends towards the view that the supposed positive correlation between large penises and African ancestry is a myth, a conclusion that he backs up with statistics. On the other hand, J. Philippe Rushton has published statistics claiming otherwise (Race, Evolution, and Behavior: A Life History Perspective, 1995). In support of Rushton's hypothesis on a priori scientific evolutionary grounds is the fact that Bergmann's and Allen's Laws state that organisms which exist towards the equator of a planet will tend to have more appendages, longer appendages, and thinner appendages.

What is an Orgasm?

Taken from: http://www.emc.maricopa.edu/faculty/farabee/BIOBK/BioBookglossO.html

orgasm: Rhythmic muscular contractions of the genitals (sex organs) combined with waves of intense pleasurable sensations; in males, results in the ejaculation of semen.

Female Orgasm 101

Men, hold on to your hats! You are about to be let in on a whole new world of secrets! A world that has the power to confuse, mystify, and bewilder?

The world of the female orgasm!

The female body is a complex work of art ? beautiful to look at, but difficult to figure out? especially when it comes to orgasm.

Many men find it difficult to understand the female sexual response cycle simply because it differs so much from their own.

Here is a brief overview of what happens during a female orgasm:

- Stimulation of clitoris
- Tension build-up is caused within pelvis
- Tension is finally released and orgasm is experienced
- Series of involuntary (yet pleasurable) muscle contractions sweep through body
- Contractions are felt in the v****a, uterus, and/or rectum
- Unlike with the male orgasm, women have the ability to feel many different types of climaxes. These climaxes are dependent on the types of stimuli used, and whether the orgasm is clitoral or vaginal.

Types of Female Orgasms

The male orgasm is pretty straightforward ? stimulation, arousal, and orgasm.
In any position.

But as usual, the woman is a little more difficult to figure out. Women have a wide array of erogenous zones, the two most popular being the v****a and the clitoris.

Here?s a little introduction to each of these pleasure zones:

CLITORIS:

- Areas above, to the sides, and below the clitoris are highly sensitive
- Its only physical function is to provide sexual pleasure
- Most women claim that the clitoral orgasm is the most intense
- In his book Sexual Behavior on the Human Female (1953), Charles Kinsey found that out of 2700 American women, half received orgasm through clitoral stimulation

VAGINAL:

- Outer third of the v****a is the most sensitive
- Many women claim that it is more difficult to achieve a vaginal orgasm than a clitoral one.
- Freud labeled this type of orgasm as the ?mature? type, whereas the clitoral orgasm was an ?immature? type of sexual experience (A General Introduction to Psychoanalysis, 1916)

It is important to note, however, that one type of orgasm is not better than the other ? they are simply two different ways of experiencing pleasure.

Every woman has her own preference over which orgasm provides the best pleasure.

Men who are striving to please their girlfriends or wives in bed should communicate with their partners to discover:

a) which is easiest for her to achieve
b) which one she prefers in terms of physical pleasure

The man?s goal should be to aim at helping her achieve her well-deserved seconds of complete and utter pleasure.

Thanks a lot for doing this. I learned more in here than I did in the health class at school. (Granted my school is crappy, but still. Useful. And really not the kind of thing I want to randomly walk up to people and ask about.)

Not PG-13!

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v600/Nikolita/femaleanatomy1.gif

This picture has the clitoris labelled. It is a part of the female anatomy that is very full of nerve endings. When a baby is developing into a boy or a girl a clitoris is formed and then if the baby is male that part becomes the p***s. It's only known function is sexual pleasure. It looks a bit like a pea when in is erect and has a hood of soft skin that covers it until it becomes erect.

I didn't really know which sticky this would go in, so I just put it here, it seemed best.

I have a few questions that have arisen since my boyfriend and I have started having sex.

1. My boyfriend and I obviously don't have all night, like married couples. But Hollywood portrays this ?All-night-long-continuous-non-stop-sex?, that I know can be real, without stopping all night. But how long does sex usually last, on average. Assuming neither of the two are having any problems coming early, or not coming at all?

2. Is it harder for a guy to come when he's on bottom, and the girl is on top?

3. I just started birth control pills, I?m in the middle of my second week of it. And I had a bit of spotting yesterday. Even when I wasn?t on the pill, I didn?t usually have spotting in between periods, and I would still be two weeks from starting my period. Is this normal?

Thank you for answering.

1) I hate what Hollywood portrays. scream stare Yes it's perfectly normal to not be able to have sex all night long, even if you're very experienced or been having sex for a long time, etc. Chances are someone is going to get sore sooner or later, etc. And also, just because you're married doesn't mean you automatically can have all-night sex.
As for how long it lasts, again, depends on the couple, sexual experience, etc.

2) It's supposed to be better for the girl in a way, because she can control how deep the male penetrates, and it is supposed to stimulate the G-spot better in some girl-on-top positions. It also can mean less work for the guy, if you're the one on top.

3) It sounds normal to me, since you're have these new hormones in your system, but if you're worried then talk to your gyno/doctor. We aren't medical professionals and can't tell you what's wrong. And even if we COULD tell you what was wrong, we aren't able to give diagnoses.

sorry...... I can't get an awnser to this...... this is my third time posting this and I am pretty sure wherever this is awnsered... some people will be interseted in the same question I have....... so here it is:

Ok. I'm a 16 year-old female teenager and yes.... I am sexually active with my bf.
But my qustion isn't about how to masterbate or anything like that.... My question is.... Can "pre-c**" get a girl pregnant?
I was told it can't.... but I was also told it can....
I don't know if these people are lying to me and I don't know which side to believe.
The reason I am asking is because there are certain times where we have a quickie and don't have a condom on hand... I know this is a risky move because there is always a chance he can c** in me....
But he doesn't want a kid and neither do I, so he always pulls out whenever he gets to close to cumming....
So does "pre-c**" get a girl prenant?

Please stop mass-posting this in different stickies. As I posted in the other sticky you posted in, YES IT CAN GET A GIRL PREGNANT. Pre-c** has sperm in it, thus it can get you knocked up.

Pulling out and withdrawl is useless, and you're asking to get pregnant if you continue to use that method. Use a condom every single time, or don't have sex at all. Sex isn't for children who try to pretend they're older and ready for sex. Be responsible and mature about it, because if anything happens there WILL be consequences you'll have to deal with, or don't have sex at all.
