If for any reason Moon or Kaoru are not around, the reasons why will be posted up here in the announcements. Sometimes we might need to stop role play, sometimes we will announce the pregnancy/birth of cubs from a pride member, and there will be times when a Pride member might be absent and their absence should be known.
Pride Members: If your not going to be online for any specific reason (vacation, net problems, moving, etc.) please PM Kaoru with a reason why if you wish to have it announced here. If not, than please just make a post within the thread. Thank you!
Continue reading below to see what's up! Announcements July 5, 2007: Once again, Moon is jetting off to some random corner of the world! This time it's from the 6th until the 19th of July. Two weeks without the internet.

June 24, 2007: Okay Kaoru's turn to go away! Kaoru will be leaving tomorrow, the 25th, to Kansas City, MI for her SkillsUSA National competition. She will be returning on Saturday, the 30th.
Because both the King and Queen along with their cubs are going to be absent, I feel that role playing should stop until we both get back (which is conveniently at the same time xD). This will save the both of us stress from backreading and trying to catch up XD!
So from here until the 30th, Darkest Warmth will be....shut down? XD T^T That's almost sad to say lol.
I love you all and I will miss you all very much. Good luck with everything that might be going on in your world!

Darkest Warmth Pride Rules:
1. Males are allowed into the Pride.
2. Males in the Pride may not challenge the king for kingship, same goes for the lionesses and the Queen.
3. Males may leave the pride at any time, but must talk to either king or queen via RP, just to keep things organized.
4. Females must ask permission before leaving the pride, and provide a reason.
5. Female lions that have found a mate and wish to leave the pride, must introduce their new found love to the King. However, the male lion must wait at the border. They can either call for the King, or the female may retrieve him.
6. Males that wish to join the Pride must also wait at the border and call for the King. If they step into the Pride Lands without permission, this could be posed as a threat to the King and he can/may attack.
7. The king has the right to challenge anyone he sees as a threat.
8. There will be no killing of lions
9. Elders/Leaders shall be respected, and give Respect
10. In the event of the king/queen dying (not by another lion however)/abandoning pride/become unavailable, Royals directly related to the King and Queen may be contacted to take the place of their parents to lead the Pride.
Role Playing
1. When roleplaying your lion, one-liners are discouraged, but not entirely banned. Everyone has writer's block, right? ^^
2. Proper Role play is in third person, NOT first person or astericks
3. Scribble and Shey are your Alpha's, your lion must listen to him and her. It is how Pride's work in the Pride Land's and in real life.
4. We understand that lions and lionesses with disagree, but try and keep fighting to a minimum.
5. Color coding your lion when role playing them is nice. For example: Say you have a blue lion, when they talk have your font blue (most of you already do this or know what I am talking about so yeah)
6. More will be added when needed.
Out of Character (OOC)
1. When posting OOC posts in (()) brackets please! This is very important. It is rude to walk in and start talking during role playing. It confuses you and the other people and makes things disorganized.
2. Do not fight in the thread OOC, the less drama the better. If you are disagreeing with someone over personal things, take it to PMs. If it has to do with the pride, come to Moon or Kaoru and we can work it out with you and the other person(s)
3. Limit OOC
4. If you are talking OOC, try and stay on topic. All other discussion can be saved for the Pride Land's thread or PM's or whatever else. Thank you.
5. More will be added when needed  What is New? June 22, 2007: It's been a while since I last updated this @_@ Sowwies. Anyway, there are a few things I would like to add. Riku and Milo are our two newest members despite all the cubs from everyone that are soon going to be welcomed. Scribble and Shey had their second litter on February 14th and they are now little cubbies whee And so far that's it! I will probably be making changes the the Pride Front when I get back, so keep in touch!

Body Markings: All of his markings are Light Teal. He has a scribble like marking on his face/nose and a large one on his back. He has half circles above his eyes and some around his eyes. His jaw and belly are the same color as well. He also his little spots all around his body.
Background
History: He was born on a stormy night, in an unknown cave, and unknown territory. The rain continued to pour down, almost as if the heavens had suffered a dear loss, letting out their greif. He shivered in his mother arms, wrapped around his small body like a cradle. Little did he know she wouldn't be around for much longer. She never wanted a cub, she wasn't ready and never fell in love with the lion that impregnated her. She picked up the small teal bundle that resembled her well and moved him further into the cave, placing him down in what he remembers a small patch of soft grass and moss. The cub watched as his mother turned around and walked away, glancing back at him once, and fading into the blanket of rain. He thought she would return for him, but never did. He was left there, alone and to fend for himself as the rain continued on. Until a miricale came, standing outside the entrance to the cave, trying to get out of the rain. It had the figure of a human and wings like an angel. Seeing he was never a cowardly cub and not knowing too much about danger, he started mewling to this creature. The human knew something or someone was there. Coming closer to him, the tiny cub could make out that she was female and her features like funny ears and shiny leaves on the top of her head. She picked him up in her arms gently, cooing to him and cradling him back and forth. He didn't understand why she was caring for him, but felt safe, like he did when his mother had held him in her paws. From then on there was a beautiful relationship between the teal cub who she named Scribble and the young wolf-like girl. He accepted her as his mother and grew into a handsome, strong, and caring lion who would never let her down.
Personality: Even as a cub left alone by himself, he was still very brave. He stood up for himself and never let any of the other cubs he played with push him around. He always found himself being the first to "Go in" or the one to lead his small group of friends into an adventure, what Kaoru always called trouble. Even with his bold attitude and appearance, he was one of a compassionate heart. He loved anyone that cared about him, making sure he gave the same amount of love if not more, back. He is very sweet and gentle, but knows when and how to stand his ground. He will do anything to protect his loved ones. Don't let his name fool you, he is mighty. Your Queen  Quick Information:

Background
History: Shey's parents could very well be the same ones as Brooke's. Her mother had a litter of three cubs, two of which were stillborn. Although she had little motivation left to raise the cub, she did anyway, and Shey found herself in good paws for a while. Then one day, her mother came home from a hunt with the carcass of a zebra in her jaws. One of its hind legs had been snapped clean off, obviously by the lioness's teeth, and when she dropped the food in front of Shey, she turned and paced anxiously, shaking her head and muttering, as if waiting for someone. When she looked at Shey, the cub found a dull glare in her eyes that unnerved her.
So her mother fell ill. She had been kicked right in the head by the zebra that fatefull day, and it had knocked her funny. From then on, Shey kept a close eye on her mother. Although the lioness still seemed to have the ability to hunt and provide the food for both, the cub would have to toddle out behind her into the danger to keep her mother from going the wrong way.
Then one day, when Shey woke up from a nap she had been taking with her mother, she found that the lioness was gone. Frantic, the cub had searched everywhere possible for her beloved mother, but it was no use. She was gone.
Personality: Shey's life was revolved so much around her mother, be it taking care of her or just spending time with her, that she knows little else. She lacks the exposure to what life really can throw you, and she doesn't seem to know it. She never wants to admit she's wrong. she absolutely must be right. She thinks it, it's gotta be what's real, right? She is never willing to accept new things, concepts or ideas, and she never wants to incorporate anything other than what she already knows into her life. She means well, however, and has a good heart, albeit a reluctant and pouty one. But having to cope with so much with her mother, she has grown to think that some things need to be about her for a change, and has a strong desire to be in the spotlight and not share it with anybody else.
She hates to have to rely on anyone else. Looking after her mother taught her to be brave, independent, and strong. To her, relying on others is a weakness, and she will all too often keep all her worries to herself.
She's quite mature for a cub her age, in a few aspects. She despises the game of tag, and she's more interested in lion cubs than lionesses, although for the world she doesn't know why.

Well in this section of the Pride, every member will have the short biography they PMed me, posted in here. There will also be a headshot of your lion done by me. That is why I asked for the uncerted version of your lion if possible, makes them easier to see. Anyway, here is the Pride and still growing!Scribble  Name: Scribble

Skills: The one thing Scribble knows best is how to love and how to
protect. He cares for those in his pride along with his mate. He would do

Skills: Kairi has a strong mind, and, oddly enough, has been able to prodict the weather, just by looking at the clouds, even if there is only one cloud in the sky. If there will be rain later that day, or even a week away-- She will know. A wind storm, a steaming hot day-- She can prodict it all. Kairi is also very good at finding things-- Mainly herbs that she uses for healing Purposes.
Personality: Kairi is very calm and collect. She very rarely gets angered, or upset, but she also rarely laughs... Well, laughs hard at least. She does smile alot though. She is quite care free, but, not to the extent of her being careless.
History: Kairi grew up alone-- having been abanden by her parents. She had no goal in life, no purpose, not in her mind anyway. So, she just desided, to fallow the... Clouds? Yes. Through night and day, sun and storm, she fallowed the clouds, letting them lead her around, from one end of the Pride Lands to the next, and along the way, meeting many Lions, and other cretures.
One day, she desided, she wanted to try something. Try, helping, someone. She had found a mouse, weak, and hurt, after mangling with a bird. She had scared off the bird, in hopes of saving the little creature-- Which is odd, since one of her sayings is "Let life take its course-- No tampering with what should and will happen.". She wandered not far away, retreiving some herbs from a near-by forest, then bringing them back to the mouse. She scattered them around, using different ones together, placing them on the small mouse, to, help it, and in time, the mouse was fine. That mouse wandered off, but said it would one day find Kairi again, and repay her kindness.

Skills: Coffe is a very strong fighter.....(Moon can tell me what to add XD)
Personality: Calm, and level-headed, Coffe rarely ever gets angry. She swallows retorts, and harsh words with nothing but a strange smile, and a somewhat eerie glint to her eyes. She is wise, and knows enough to never regret her own decisions, and to trust her instincts to their fullest. She is not at all boring, however, and her greatest hobby is to run and play all day, without a care in the world. She loves playing little games with other lions. She also has quite a quick wit, which she rarely ever puts into play. She prefers to zone out whenever she is picked on about the collar and jangly tags hanging from around her neck, and her ability to ignore things she does not wish to hear has been maxed up. Her sense of loyalty is strong, and she treasures her friends far beyond anything else, although it is all too easy to distract her. She is a natural at hunting, too, keenly picking up scents from far off and following them for long stretches of time. She has a strong sense of leadership, although she prefers sometimes to follow rather than to lead.
However, the teasing she received as a cub and teen has driven into her an almost savage sense of warfare and darkness. As it is, she has grown up alone and has instilled within herself a rather masculine air, strong and fearless and perfectly trim, ready to fight at all times.
History: Coffe had grown up in what had used to be a tribe territory, although the humans had left long before. The smell that encased the land, however, was always thick with woodsmoke, dogs, people. The smell of woodsmoke, Coffe soon learned, seemed to have a great calming effect on her, and the woodsmoke controlled her once-fiery temper, turning her into the easy-going lion she now is. Because she spent all of her babyhood in the abandoned tribe camp, all the new scents in the world that she had barely come to grasp hit her hard when she decided to leave her parents, and she was especially sensitive to the smells.
She found a collar with dog tags one morning, and slipped it on by accident. The jangling, she found, was quite entertaining, and she never quite bothered to try to remove it.
She was also teased since birth about her strange, fluffy sickle tail, carried up and over her back like that of a Shiba Inu dog.

Skills: He has the makings of a great hunter. He's great at strategising and never looses his focus...well most of the time.

Personality: Riku can be very serious and solitary, preferring to be by himself. But if he becomes a friend he can prove to be very loyal and reliable. Hes very sophisticated for his young age and enjoys exploring and practicing his hunting skills on small rodents and bugs.

Skills: Jenny is quick, very fast. She can outrun even Sky who is an adult and also has wings. Jenny runs like her paws are not even touching the Earth. There hasn't been one lion to catch her yet. Think before asking to play tag with her XD. She can also be very fierce when needed and isn't afraid to hurt someone...especially girls heh.
History: Jenny was born the normal way and without a hard life. She was born under the shade of a tree within the boarders of Darkest Warmth Pride. Her mother and father were there when she opened her eyes and she had someone to care for her since day one. Her parents love her very much and she is defiantly in good hands. There is a reason behind all the female-hating as well. As a younger cub, Jenny was prowling around the pride lands when she accidentally crashed into a female her age named Callia. This little lioness was really about herself and called Jenny dirty and filthy because of how Jenny played. It wasn't her fault she enjoyed playing instead of cleaning her fur. That didn't give her a very good impression and she stuck around her little group of guy friends from then on. However, her father wanted her to meet other girls her age and play with them instead of boys; he was just being the first time protective father. Well, the female cubs she was forced to be around made fun of her because of the way she acted and the fact that she was always getting dirty and playing rough. From then on she continued to hang out with the lions she wanted to be around in the first place, a little group of males that soon became her best friends, friends for life.
Personality: Jenny's personality is basically based off of mine. She is very brave and doesn't let anything frighten her when it comes to oogie-boogie or even danger. She is also a tomboy and doesn't like girls either. She will talk to them, but won't say much or won't be very sweet. She liked to hang out with guys and is always accepted as "one of them". She isn't afraid to get her fur dirty and loves to be daring. She does have a cute and sensitive side to her however, but doesn't like to show it around her lion friends, only when being playful. Its either her way or the highway and she can be dominant at times.

Personality: A rather laid-back, but comical character, Koekje's greatest talent is eating. Food is, perhaps, the first and last thing on his mind each day, and he can eat and eat and eat without ever getting fat. He is rather aptly named, for his name means 'cookie' in the language humans call Dutch (although the lions don't know this).

Skills: Even though he tends to disobey and rebel against others, he is quite fun to hang with and isn't a jerk, just a punk. He is extremely quick witted and pretty smart too, just doesn't apply himself with the smartness sometimes. He is a great fighter as well and never tends to back down, somewhat like his sister...
History: Trevor was born into the Darkest Warmth Pride, getting nothing but love, affection, and attention during his new arrival. He was wild from the start and climbed over his mother instead of taking the normal first sip of milk like most cubs do at birth. Scribble had to always keep an eye on him or he would wander out of the den, oblivious to the dangers around him. Once his eyes opened and his little paws worked, he was roaming about and getting into trouble. He was a handful alright. One day while prowling around outside under the watchful eye of his mother, he found a pink, black, and white piece of cloth in which he was curious to sniff. Was it magic? Treasure? Maybe it came from a far away land where two-leggers subsided. Where ever it came from, he liked it (aside from the pink), and put it around his neck. It became his favorite thing and projected his rebel attitude toward his siblings and other lions. He wasn't a juvenile, but defiantly a little punk.
Personality: This little cub is a rebel all the way. He does things the way he wants to and doesn't let anyone stand in his way. He is a punk at heart and will snap back at anyone who tries to out beat him, except his big sister, his weakness. Jenny doesn't tolerate his dominant displays and always puts him back in his place. He hates girly-girls as well and can't stand their crap. Trevor is wild and always wants to be free, find an adventure, or get into trouble. He is insane.

Skills: He is a very good warrior and also can be handy for hunting with.
History: Milo was born with no knowledge of his family, But he did know he was different, with his one controller for a tail and the mask he always wore. He was once told by a wise lion, whom he was treated like a son by, he once lived in the human world as a game and some how became a lion. Besides all that, he lived going from place to place, with his 'Father' He never learned to be himself because of he many rules and customs. So Milo learned to act like who ever he was around, But his 'father' When he was with him, Milo acted like himself and loving and caring lion. He only acted like that around his loved one. But one day his 'father' died, and left him to live on his own. At first he did not cope well and would lie in the desert for days at a time. One day he realized that his 'father' would not want him moping around like that. So now he wanders. Living his life. He wandered into a pride one day. He made up his mind to ask the king if he could join. The king let him into the pride. Where he now lives.
Personality: Milo has no real personality. It Really depends on who he is with. Like if he was with a hyper lion he would be hyper. But when he is around loved ones he kinda has his own loving and caring personality.

Here is where Darkest Warmth is located, if you look at the map below it will shop you small circles with letters in the middle scattered around the map. Those circles are where other Prides are located.
The Darkest Wamrth Pride is the Teal and Brown circle with an S in the middle. It is on the left side of the lake on in the grasslands and close to the border of the Savannah. We are close to a little of everything besides the desert and mountains. Water for some swimming and cooling off. Grasslands for some protection, shade and playing, and the Savannah to run and let out all of your energy. The forest isn't too far away either so there are some trees in the Pride. (A picture of the Main area by me will be coming soon...once this stupid virius goes away!)Darkest Warmth Location and Other Prides This isn't the true location of Darkest Warmth just yet. He patrols, guards, and has a pretty nice piece of land, any lion would feel comfortable here. Below the image are descriptions of each part on the map, have a look for yourself. Savannah: Scribble's Territory is right along the border of the Grasslands and the Savannah. The Savannah is nice, great place to go if you get a little bit chilly, or just want to lay down and get some sun.
Grasslands: This part of the Pride lands goes for miles. If you have energy and don't know what to do with it, take a nice run. The grass is soft and its always a great place to just get away from everyone.
Forest: Off into the distance from the Main Den, you can see a large portion of the forest. A small amount of it belongs to Darkest Warmth and another good place to hunt.
Hunting Grounds: Here is where all the animals roam, it is a great place for the lionesses to go hunting.
Battle Grounds: If for some reason Scribble ever encounters a battle or feels the need he should start one to teach someone a lesson, that is where it will be. It is located near the border because in most fighting situations, the issue is terriroty. It is a big enough land and far enough away from the Main Den, with dirt and grass for flatgrounds to fight in.
Main Den: Everynight you will be sleeping in this comfortable cave. Inside there is soft grass and moss coming up from the rock to lay on and its cool despite the hot days. The Main Den is loacted on a large rock with many different parts to it. (Yes I know it looks like Pride Rock, but it isn't xD, it is missing some things to be Pride Rock). Most birth's will take place in here, where it is comfortable for the lioness. There are also many tunnels and paths inside leading to different rooms and differnet ways out of the den.
Lookout Point: A lot of the scouts will be hanging around up there, helping to protect the Pride Lands. You can see all of Scribble and Shey's Territory and beyond, it is very pretty as well.
Kings Lookout: Scribble enjoys standing on the edge of this part of the rock. While the scouts look out ahead, he watches over his kingdom, the lionesses/lions, and cubs.
Hangout/Cub Playground: That little cluster of rocks on the right side with a tree in the middle is the hangout. That grassland where the words are is where a lot of the cubs enjoy playing. This hangout is where most interactions with other members happen. A lot of the lionesses bask in the sun, bath thier cub, or just talk here. There is a tree for shade and rocks for warmth. They can see their cubs playing over in the grass as well.
The Waterhole: If you get thristy or just too hot and can't take the days heat anymore, this is a great place to go swimming. The water is crystal clear and there is a rock in the middle for jumping off of. A lot of the cubs like it down here, great time for play.

Like in the wild, every animal has their friends and their enemies, even it is others of their own kind. Exspecially animals with territories, there can be some pretty nasty fights, its how they are. Below is a list of Darkest Warmth's Allies, enemies, and the Prides/lions that we are just neutral with. Get to know and learn them so you don't get frightened when a friend comes, and you know what is going on when an enemy is in sight.

1. Scarlet Shadows....Rellick: Shey belonged to the Pride Scarlet Shadows, but found love with Scribble and was asked to be his queen. Like all female lions, Shey needed permission from the King to leave his Pride. Sure enough, he accepted her request, wanting her to be happy. Before they left he asked of one favor in return....to be allies with Scribble and his Pride.Our Neighbors...They will Be Watched Pride/Lion....King: Reason

Are you an artist? Or maybe just like to draw for the heck of it? Well if you have some spare time on your hands, draw a picture for us!! Its fun to see what people have in mind! Below are the guidelines and rules about what to draw and how to draw it, check it out ^.^Guidelines and Rules Guidelines:
1. Wondering what to draw? A picture of the Pride of course! It could be the whole Pride and the lions in it, a nice picture of Darkest Warmth territory, a beautiful landscape scenery, or maybe a specific picture for your favorite lion/lioness(s). As long as it has to do with the Pride, then its fine.
2. Not sure what to draw with? Well there isn't a rule for that. It could be drawn by hand and colored in photosop, a computer genterated picture, a comic, a sketch, a picture in color pencil, anything your good with or would like to use.
3. Want to draw certain lions/lioness, but don't have their image? Never fear, look at the Pride Profiles post and get their certed image there. If you need the uncerted version of their lion, ask them for the colorist and give them a PM, it never hurts to ask
Rules:
1. There is no entry fee or anything of that sort, this is for people that have some time on their hands or just like to draw.
2. You may submit as much as you want, there is no limit
3. Absolutly no stealing art! Its okay to use pictures from the Lion King or something else for a reference, but tracing or stealing an image and calling it your own is against my rules and Gaia's!
4. Do not make fun of someone else's artwork! Everyone has their own style and their own way of drawing and anyone is allowed to submit something. I don't care if it is a sketch on line paper, art is awesome and its nice to see the different styles people have.
5. If you plan to draw a love scene between two lions, remember to keep it PG-13 at the most. No one really wants to see lion sex anyway xD.
6. Battling and fight scenes are fine as well, but it must have some sort of concept or reason.
7. Try to keep the picture about Darkest Warmth and the lions that are in it. This is the Darkest Warmth Pride Thread, and on topic art would be good lol.
8. Your lion(s) do not have to be a part of this pride to enter some work in, anyone can submit something.
9. More will be added when needed

Scribble steps paw into unknown territory, though he didn't see any signs of lions, he kept cautious anyway. He turns to Shey and smiles at her, "I would suggest you stay here while I check for vacancy, but knowing you..." He gives her a slight grin as he eyes go soft.
