Floating along lazily, the god of loneliness rolled onto his back, using his powerful wings to stay afloat on the breeze of everlasting.... what? Everlasting what?

With a heavy thump he landed on his back in the dust, his thoughts completely interupted by the nagging growl that was ever-present in his stomach right now. Even though Athrun was a god and he could live for... well forever, he still had to eat eventually. He figured he was overdue from about a hundred years before. Having only woken up not to long ago had it's disadvantages.

Grumbling, Athrun folded his wings and realized that it really had been about a hundred odd years. The last time he'd hunted had been with his mate before their pride was slaughtered and he was forced into a hundred years of sleep. And that had been a... what? Waterbuffalo? Athrun knew he'd shared it with his pride, but what he got from it he didn't remember.

Sighing, he sniffed at the air and closed his eyes behind the blindfold tiredly, unactivating the Eye on his blindfold and making himself completely blind again. His essence shimmered around him with a silvery/gold light that stretched out and became invisible as he searched for the souls and bodies and even spirits of any herdbeast he could warrant eating at that time.

Which in fact was just about anything.

The large black goddess had been flying the area, looking for an unfortunate herd of zebra or a gathering of gazelle, however it was a half hearted search. She'd wanted the taste of blood for days now, it was a nasty addiction that twisted her mind and made her quite the force to be reckoned with.

She landed silently, her sleek form lowering down as she immediately smelled something odd. There was something in the area...something bigger than any 'ole gazzelle or zebra. A slight smile tugged at her muzzle and she slunk toward the smell, not that her large form could be missed amoung the widespread plains.

One sky blue eye opened slowly as he heard the sliding noise of a rock moving over the ground. Possibly from a paw kicking it or something. Normally it would go unsensed by anything around, anything mortal, however a god was a different story completely.

Activating his Eye, Athrun glanced all around him, three hundred and sixty degrees worth of around, and caught sight of the large winged lioness coming towards him. Her purple eyes were rather stark against such a black body, though that black body would make it exceptionaly hard to hunt or hide unless she masked it like any god or goddess could on a whim.

"Who goes there?" Athrun called over to her, twisting so that he could look straight at her rather than standing at an angle.

Rhin caught sight of the wings and inwardly sighed, once again another god she'd known nothing about...had she known a god would be in the area she'd've been far sneakier, however luck was not on her side this day.

She sat back and raised her brow as she examined the god, she noted the blindfold and wondered deeply how the blind one had seen her. Though it was really of little importance, she had size easily on this one and held her muscular body tall.

"Rhin-yi...and who might you be?," she smiled courteously despite the fact that the ubruptness of the question by one so small vaguely razzled her.

As his large wings flicked out the god puffed himself up like a hoot owl in danger. All his fur stood on end and he grumbled about impertinence as he swished his tail back and forth.

Another goddess. Would the trail of gods never end? Would he never be free of those that had tortured him so? A deep frown worked it's way over Athrun's white muzzle and he glared at Rhin-yi angrily, though he doubted she could see past the blindfold to know he was.

"Athrun. If I'm intruding on lands you claim as yours I would be more than happy to leave, my raven sister." He recognised the name instantly as the Goddess of the Hunt. Which would of course explain why she was hunting, not that he cared.

A loud growl ripped from the white god's belly and he looked down at it with anger, the sunlight glinting off his collar that hid the blood stains of his deceased as he moved. Maybe food wouldn't be such a bad idea any longer, but to do so with a goddess? What if she was one of the ones that killed his family?

Her tail curled around one of her hind legs as she stared at the god, thinly masking the irratation building. The god's frown and abrupt nature did little to calm the lioness. She took a moment to examine Athrun, not really recognizing the name or seeing a real threat.

Her brow flicked up in surprise and she shook her head absently, "Oh no, I have no claim on these lands, Athrun."

She heard his stomach clearly and suddenly realized that this one might be here for the same reasons as herself. Pushing herself from the ground she strode toward the younger god, the tension temporarily put aside in her mind, replaced with the idea of a much more relaxing activity.

"And that would be the precise reason I'm in the area as well" Her features softened slightly as she gestured with a nod towards his stomach.

"No? You seem like you should." She definitely walked like she owned the place, though quite a few gods walked like that just about everywhere.

Fighting past the urge to strike out as the goddess walked towards him, Athrun flicked a genuine smile across his white muzzle and nodded to her. If it weren't for his pestering stomach he was sure he'd have gotten himself out of here by now, but at least she didn't seem to know him.

Though his deep-seated hatred for all things god related was still burning deep inside his icy chest, the god of loneliness pushed it aside to act civil towards the goddess that didn't seem to know or care about his plight. That made him content enough.

"Would you like to work together then, cousin?" Athrun asked gently.

A brief flicker of a smile came to her maw before she slipped past him. Her ears perked, coming up and swiveling just a bit to the right, there were deffinantly gazelle in that direction. She sniffed the air lazily, inwardly confirming a watering hole in the general proximity of her prey.

The goddess flicked her head to the right in indication to follow, as she eased into a lazy jog toward their destination her large black wings came down to her body, melding with her form.

"Gazelle sound good?" she barely looked back over her shoulder to see if he'd kept up.

White paws ghosted over the ground, following behind the darker goddess as she walked. She didn't seem all that bad, though he was following her because he was hungry.

Dropping his large white wings down over his back and back legs once again, Athrun followed after Rhin-Yi slowly. His nose smelled the gazelle before the goddess pointed them out. A slow smile spread over his muzzle and he walked up beside her silently.

"Gazelle does sound good actually. Well, anything sounds good rather." Athrun said simply to her as he gazed out over the herd beasts.

She raised a brow as the god came up on her and nodded absently. Seeing her prey had taken her mind from small talk, her eyes narrowed as she methodically scanned the crowd of beasts. Searching through the pack for a larger gazelle closer farther from the crowd, as taking one from the group would scatter them and there'd be less chance to pull down another.

"Male, nearly the furthest to the left, after that whatever is closest if you'd like more...good?" her voice fell into a deep, calm growl, and her body came closer to the ground. She could've concealed herself within the grass, but she liked the mortal's way, more fun.

His eyes shimmered behind the blindfold and his shoulders rolled slowly as he took a few steps forward. "That works for me." Athrun responded simply as he took a few more steps forward.

Slowly his wings lifted and flattened to his body softly. His sharp eyes watched every move the target gazelle made with eyes used to being in this position. He wasn't sure exactly who she wanted to go first, but Athrun knew that he could get the herd to seperate from it if he pressed with his aura enough. That should Rhin-yi enough time to pounce on said gazelle.

She slipped ahead in silence, placing a soft guise over herself to help blend with the surrounding area. Placing herself just outside the ring of prey her body remained perfectly still for a moment. Grab from behind and aim for the throat...she played the hunt in her mind like a video reel, moving around the herd as the gazelle she watched moved into position. Pausing only to look behind her for Athrun, the goddess' attention snapped back and she slunk forward, belly nearly scraping the ground.

Her eyes glimmered as leapt forward with grace, grabbing the back end of the male with her front paw and grounding him quickly. She went to put the creature out of his misery as she'd suck her claws deep into the beasts flank, her eyes flicking up to see that the god was with her.

Large fangs wrapped around the male gazelle's neck just as Rhin'yi forced him to the ground. He'd managed to keep himself from the eyes of the herd beasts for the time being, though the moment she'd found the one she wanted she was on it before he could make a move.

So was the goddess of the hunt he supposed.

Blood bathed his white muzzle light red and a smile spread over it as he felt his belly rumble again. He would let the goddess eat first, it was her kill after all.
