I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem, but when I'm marching sideways, I find it really hard to stay up on my platforms without bending my legs and crouching a bit. I'm working on keeping my legs straight, but I still haven't fully corrected the problem even after three years in drumline.
It's possible that the fact that my harness is way to low may be contributing to the problem, but my old one wasn't...
What kinds if things do you have trouble with?

Nobody finds anything difficult?
Or even wants to make some gold off of the poll?
Ok.

I know that I'm in guard and all but when i use to play Flute it was always the running out of breath part with me cause the director always had me going from one side of the field to another in 32 counts and doing it mutiple times really sucked.

That's quite a distance. Especially in 32 counts.

i hate doing slides in marching. especially as a flute player, left slides hurt. and the bd happens to give the shortest person the longest distance to travel.

I usually have no problem but my worse is, since I am on a flag team (we have double sided banner shields but my coach is to scared to use anythingelse, oh and we also have show flags,) we have to do these thigs in a circle and still mrach forward and then come out in this thing where your knee is up and then do a sota and I really have preoblems with it.

I don't speak "guard speak", but it certainly sounds didfficult. I've found another thing that I find really hard. PARADIDDLE-DIDDLES!! AT A BAZILLION BEATS PER SECOND!!!

I hate it when I'm marching... I'm kinda new at it, but I'm getting better. It's so hard when you have to march right and left. Now obliquing(I think I spelled that right)... it's ok. But when I march the the right or left, it's hard to keep your body strait. Damn my hips.

Hardest thing for me is playing and marching at a fast tempo (150 bpm and up). I end up bouncing, and because I'm playing my marching tech isn't as good.
Oh yeah, and dressing. I play baritone, so basically anything directly in front of me is blocked by a great big bell. XD

Inboard slides. I can't keep my upper body straight, which is why I'm glad we're a show band and hardly ever have to do that.

I'm pretty good at playing and marching (the drum majors have christened me The Backwards Marching Goddess cool ), I think my major problem is NOT breaking set to go kill freshmen who can't dress to the line/trumpets who spread their feet apart when they're supposed to be together/the BD when he goes on one of his tirades. My patience has a very short fuse.
