i donated for the first time...got 2 envolopes...what my question is...why are the same thing...I guess i thought you could pick which item you recieved...i dont want the sword and i dont need 2 veils....hope someone can help...thanks

Each envelope contains 2 items. You don't get to choose which item until you donate and receive the letters in your inventory. You can always sell the sealed envelope or hold onto it as the prices rise on sealed envelopes eventually.

Yeah every month's letter only contains a choice of 2 things. And each month it changes. If you donated right now, for example, you'd get a sealed August 2006 letter, but nobody knows what 2 items you might get to pick from until closer to mid-month (it used to happen when there was about a week left in the month, but they've made it earlier now.)
If you want an item contained in a previous month's letter, you'll have to save up the gold and buy it from the marketplace. 3nodding
(Although personally, I don't mind 2 or more veils because of the cute different poses they can be!)

what do you mean "cute poses"...I thought you could chose from...like the shaw and skirt and the different pieces...not just the veil.....i hope i am making this sound right.......when you go to look at the preview of the months items it show like 13 different things..i guess i just thought ;you could pick one of the many

Each item can be used in all those different poses. You can actually have on more than one veil at a time in different poses. Look at neonibbles avatar, I think she has 4 on right now.

i guess i dont understand ...how would i change them?...sorry this is all new to me....i just thought the veil was the veil..i would love the others

you can wear any of the options available for the item that you have, just select that option from the choice shown, and the more veils you have, to more options you can wear at once 3nodding

if you look at Roo and fawN you'll see that they are both wearing the veil in its graceful hands option, and fawN is wearing another in the ribbons option 3nodding

yes it is only donation items that have more than one option for wearing, most of the older ones only have 2 or 3, but the more recent ones tend to have more, the dark halo having 12 blaugh

Yeah, I do notice how the more recent donation item have HEAPS of different poses compared to the older ones! I guess they decided people really like the different options, so they're going all out!
