Summary:
Keroro Gunso is about a group of frog-like aliens lead by Keroro, the Captain of the Space Invasion Forces Special Advance Team of the 58th Planet of the Gamma Storm Cloud System, that were ordered to retrieve information for their planets plan to take over Earth. Sadly, the first attempt failed and Keroro was discovered in the home of the Hinatas. The rest of the group of aliens had abandoned Keroro, only to show up one by one later on in the series. Keroro ends up only battling chores, Natsumi, and the insults he recieves from his fellow teammates when his plans to dominate Earth fail. In between all those things, Keroro finds time to build his favourtie Gundam models, surf the internet, watch his favourite TV show and read manga.

Eto's pimpin' opinion
This show is really addictive and doesn't take you long to become obbessed with it. I had watched it in Hong Kong and only saw two episodes to become really into it. Its kinda like Azu. You watch a few episodes and then you get into the show. Keroro is a really great show if you know about Gundams and watched at least 1 series. Not only do they make fun of Gundam, they make fun of Cardcaptors and different anime. Its even better if you know how the life in Japan works. You just have to know about festivals and things like that. Simple things. Each character has their own unique funniness. I think Tamama is the coolest though. Cute yet dangerous!

The anime has the newest look of the characters. In the first few books of the manga, the aliens look fat and un-cute. The anime has the new look. The anime has awesome songs too. Very cute and funny. I watched it in Chinese and the voices were very cute and fitted the characters very well.
Manga:
I finally read the books and they're pretty good! They start off looking fat though but the artist changes the drawing style to make them look cuter. Sumomo and 623 have a different personality and the stories are a little different. The base plot is the same as the anime's but there are little details and parts that make the stories different and fun to read. Also, Dororo doesn't show up for a very long time.

Characters:
Keroro
Sergent Keroro is captain of the Space Invasion Forces Special Advance Team of the 58th Planet of the Gamma Storm Cloud System. He lives with the Hinatas. Natsumi forces him to do housework and hates his Gundams. He is best friends with Fuyuki. Keroro lives in the basement of the Hinatas. He transformed the storage room into a liveable room. Keroro puts off his plans to take over the world so he could build Gundams.
Tamama
He is the second one to appear. He was discovered by Nishisawa Momohana who he now lives with. He trains a lot and tries to make himself Keroro's favourite. He detests Angoru Moa. Though Tamama looks cute, he has a split personality. When he gets angry, his eyes change and will release his special attack, The Tamama Impact.
Giruru
He is the third one to appear. He first appeared by attacking Keroro because Keroro had never progressed with the plans. Earlier, he had spied on Keroro and the Hinatas. All them had sensed him watching them but they couldn't see him because of his invisiblity skill (all the aliens have this). When he was spying, he saw Natsumi taking a shower after sports and now has a major crush on her. This major weakness was later discovered by his fellow teammates. He refuses to live within the Hinata's house so he has a tent in the backyard where he cooks his food and holds all his weapons. Giruru also later meets a cat that has a crush on Giruru and hates Natsumi.
Kururu
He is the fourth one to appear. He was discovered by Mutsumi Saburo but lives with Keroro. Kururu is always saying "Kekeke" and makes all these inventions that he gets other people to try out. Most of his inventions make things worse but they do make things better sometimes.
Dororo
The last one to be discovered. He has the skills of a ninja and had a bad past with Keroro. He takes his time to forgive Keroro but when he does, he changes his mind because he remembers something bad from the past. He was discovered by Koyuki Azumaya. They both live in a house that is like a small ancient Japanese house. He is always forgotten by others and tries his best to get Keroro to always remember him.
Fuyuki
He first discovered Keroro. Fuyuki is 12 years old and isn't neccessarily bright. He is best friends with him and always loves to do things with him. Fuyuki loves reading about aliens and space. Fuyuki is a softie but when Keroro does something very annoying, he will tell him to stop and asks him, "Aren't we friends?" This breaks Keroro's heart (most of the time) and Keroro will stop.
Natsumi
The second to find out about Keroro. She is 13 years old, the older sister of Fuyuki. She is popular, smart, atheletic and powerful. She scares Keroro and forces him to do chores. She cooks delicious meals because her mother always comes home late. She has a crush on Matsumi and loves listening to the radio. Sadly (for her), everytime they talk about something she wants to listen, the most important is always interrupted because Keroro is doing something big. This is followed by possibly a yelling and a beating. And threats.
Aki
The mother of Natsumi and Fuyuki. She loves Keroro and his group. She gives Keroro a lot of allowance money because Keroro does a good job with his allowance. She is a manga editor and is always held up at work because the artists are always behind schedule.
Momoka
The discoverer of Tamama. She is 12 years old and is in the same class as Fuyuki. She has a major crush on Fuyuki which causes her to have a split personality. She is soft one minute then evil and mean the next. She hates it when people interfere with her plans to get Fuyuki do something romantic with her. She always sets things up so she always has to be with Fuyuki and tries to get him to protect her. Those plans are always ruined by Keroro and she takes it out on Tamama and Keroro.
Koyuki
She discovered Dororo. She too has the skills of a ninja. She is always positive and tries to get Dororo to be with Keroro. She has a weird crush on Natsumi and tries to always be with her. To Natsumi, they are just friends. Koyuki tries to make it something bigger than that. At school, instead of wearing the proper uniform, she decides to wear her old uniform.
Moa
She is an alien and knew Keroro when they were little. She has a major crush on Keroro which drives Tamama crazy. Moa has two appearances. One is of a human she first saw and one is of her real self. She has a huge staff that has the power to create craters by pouding the staff into the ground.
