We all know that Clark and Lex are enemies. But do you miss the old Lex? The Lex who was Clark's best friend and was always by his side?
I was just listening to the commentary on Truth where they were talking about how Clark chooses good and how Lex chooses evil. So I was just wondering how you guys feel that Lex is now becoming evil.

it's kinda sad, i guess. i actually am glad that he's finally becoming evil (and I like that he's sucking Lana in with him too twisted ) but that's mostly because it makes them both much more entertaining characters and it furthers the plot line. but it is very sad that he kind of realizes he's choosing evil as he chooses it. like during the Lexmas episode, he decided to give up a simple life with Lana because she died ( crying ) and he chose to follow power. but he did it because he wanted to prevent being hurt (and also there was probably a lingering hope that he could still be with Lana if he chose power because the life they had might be different).
also, i think that parts of his choosing evil aren't completely his fault. he seems driven to it by people who want to get the better of him, or people that are trying to protect him/or just don't trust him by not letting him know about everything that's going on around him. his reactions are definately his own problem, though, and he can't blame anyone else for them.

I think its great watching them grow into the characters that they will become. I mean its just amazing how unexpected to them it was going to be. Without Lex there would be no Superman. Lex creates the obsticles for Clark that make him strong and realize how Clark's own destiny and how it relay's far from doing chores on a farm. We see the Lex become the Alexander. I loved the episode ONYX because it did show us the ruthless Lex we will one day be watching all the time. Lex is the person who wants to be good but is over powered by the will to be Bad. He saw what his life could be in Lexmas. But it killed him that, because he gave up the life that he had, he became powerless to save Lana's life. he wants aspects of both of lives so he will do everything in his power to merge the two. But Lex's motto is "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions" which i think was MADE for Lex's character. He started out just wanting the truth about Clark it drove him to Paranoia until he realized his ways had fractured his friendship with the only man who was ever his friend. Although he still wanted to know the truth he still wanted to know the Truth. It has always been Lex's way to want two things that Clash dramatically. Its like a bad Science experiment. He gains the two ingredients then it ends up blowing up into his face or he creates a poisonous concoxtion that makes him a monster and his will to find the truth becomes even stronger.

i think in a sense we all do miss the old Lex being he was almost like Clark's older brother... But i think he is a lot cooler when he is evil twisted

I think, Even though we see the new Lex, im not sure everyone else on the show does too, they might see Lex V 2.0 or they may see Alexander. I think in a sense they all know that Lex has changed, yet so has every one else. While most characters are taking a turn to the good (Lionel, martha, Chloe, etc), Other characters are taking a turn for the evil (i.e. Lex and Lana). lex is not the only one who is changing from good to bad, i don't think we should discount Lana's new styles and behavior <-- a lot more hostil then it was in season 1.

who you mean Lex rubbing off on Lana? i don't necessarily think that it was only Lex. I think that it had to do with Jason too and his pressure on her to keep everything a secret. Also her frustration and confusion of being with Clark. She was fed up.

But with Jason, she was keeping something secret and couldn't understand why Clark was upset (or I think she didn't understand) and yet she thinks what he was doing was wrong....
sorro keep thinking of Clana and why it would never work lol

I'm not saying evil Lex is bad. I love evil Lex. I just missed the old one.
I wonder if its hard for Michael to first act good then evil like that sweatdrop

Michael is a VERY talented actor whether people agree or not is how well you watch him act. He has such a crazy, outgoing, fun persnality that he has probably met many people who have inspired him to do such great acting. I think that he is just genius, i mean we hav e watched him grow from what he was to what he is playing the character of Lex luthor, He has such a style that we the audience almost were decieved by what he was saying which made his character believeable. He had so many sides to him that really we didn't know who the true Lex was for a while. i think looking back that he has always been the same, only... he kept changing and maybe we didn't always realize it, the subtle traits he was expressing in season 1 are just more bolder now and he wishes to be the same lex he was while still becoming a man of power. He wants to merge the two life styles he had in Lexmas, the happy one he could have and the powerful, secure, and wealthy one that he had. Like i said, Lex lives by the quote "The Road to hell is paved with good intentions."

Well we knoe that lex is obviously gonna turn evil and bring lana with him and on this epiosde when clark looked into lana's eyes he said he didnt love her so clark's mother was like she better not do something really bad and then regret it so thats how shes hating clark and
being with lex cuz she thinks lexs had been there for her and sutff so yh there perfect for each other i couldnt care less so now on that episode i just said the mother was like maybe u dont love lana he only said it becuase he might loose her if she found out his secret so then when the mother was like 'maybe shes isnt the one for u c'mon u have ur hole life to find the one' so he is opening his eyes and soon will knoe that cloe is the one for him.... mrgreen

Exactly. I personally feel that if you love some one enough that you couldn;t stand there and tell them you don't love them anymore while looking them straight in the eyes. I mean Lex is going to learn a lot from Lana as Lana from him. I think that they will have a relationship for a majority left of the show...
