Well, I've been having a problem with pornography (and I've finally gathered the courage to tell my parents and I have an appointment with my Bishop, so it'll hopefully get better soon) and before I didn't have near enough courage to talk to anyone face to face. So, I went to the LDS family services website to see if they had anything I could use (because they're supposed to have people working for them to help break addictions such as pornography) but they didn't. HOWEVER, since the website is going through reconstruction and whatnot they had a little suggestions box. I used it and they sent me back a messege saying they might SERIOUSLY consider making online counceling a part of the new website to be a first step before going in to actually meet someone. The idea behind it would be they find an LDS family services worker who works close to where you live (I mentioned I lived in Indiana and they set me up with a guy who works in Indiana who was willing to help, and we've been emailing each other back and forth) and you'd talk with this couselor (sp) and he/she would help you through your problems and when you were ready you would get to meet them and actually go through a real conseling session, and, I think (if nessesary) they would help you talk to your bishop (or something... lol)
Anyway this is how it's worked so far for me. I was set up with one just because I said I would use it myself, and the person who runs the suggestions box found a guy who was willing and gave me his email.
Anyway, like I said, this is all POSSIBLE. I don't know if they'll go through with it, because they would have to divise an entire system to do it, but at least it's being considered.
Anyway, I'd just like to know what all of you think of it.

I believe that President Hinckley has said that it is one of the most common sins the members deal with, and it can tear apart families...I can understand what you two are going through....someone very close to me is working through the same problem...he says it's an almost constant struggle, but he's been doing very, very well dealing with it (unless he hasn't told me something). So, I want to encourage you two, and anyone else who's dealing with a porn addiction. YOU CAN GET THROUGH IT!!! It is possible!
Remember that you are not bad people, you just made bad choices. Heavenly Father loves you, no matter what you do. He WILL forgive you if you truly repent, and he will remember no morewhat you have repented of. He loves you!
