Kelello's slender frame slipped through the cracks of bone in a large elephant skull as she advanced on two conversing hyenas. Pausing, she peered through a dip in the bone and listened to their cackles. A grin formed across her usually emotionless face as the young wild dog listened in; the fur prickling up her neck as the thrill of disobeying Mafa took forth her senses.

Yakuti walked happily back towards his den, he had just been out hunting and he carried a limp rabbit in his jaws which he planned to eat once he returned home. He was nearly there when a scent he hadn't smelled recently found its way to his nose. He sniffed the air, it was wild dog, but not one he had met.
He turned his head in the direction of the smell and saw the back of a wild dog pup, perhaps this was the slave Tibuka had told him about? He walked up behind her, dropping the rabbit on the ground between his front paws with a thud, and saying, "Hello there, spying are we?"

Kelello whirled around and let out a yelp of surprise. Her emerald eyes filled with fear when they locked eyes with the hyena pup.
"Please", she gasped, looking nervously over her shoulder, "I-if Maf-f-fa finds out", she stuttered with a weak grin and pleading eyes.

He smiled, "Oh, so you are the slave with the pack." He said, looking at her for a moment with his observant eyes. "Hm, been told not to spy? Oh I don't know, maybe I should turn you in." He said, teasing her. He wouldn't really tell, she would be in such trouble, but the panicy ones were fun to mess with. "After all, what Mafa says, goes."

Kelello wrinkled her nose at him and scrunched up her puppy face into a pout.
"Please?", she asked, batting her eyes so as to look more innocent.
She really wanted to stick her tongue out at the hyena, but knew that that would call for a beating just as harsh. Sheesh, the rules! The orange-coated wild dog puppy rolled her green eyes just thinking of them all.

Yakuti looked at her, this one really could make herself look pathetic if she wanted.
"Well... Maybe I'll consider it, but what do I get out of this deal?" He asked, perhaps he could get something out of this after all.
"What could a slave possibly give me that would make me 'forget' this whole incident?"

Kelello couldn't understand what this male was proposing.
"I can't make you forget it", she said with a confused tilt of her head. Or can I? She had dreamed some things.. odd things; as if she could see things that might happen. Could she make this hyena forget the whole deal?
"Then, umm, forget it!", she said with a grin. Kelello was too young to understand 'bargains'. Cocking her head to the side, she inspected him with curious emerald eyes.
"Y'know, I don't think I've seen you before. Who are you?"

He laughed, she obviously didn't understand what he ment. "Look, since you're new here, I'll go easy on you and I won't turn you in." He said, "But if I ever catch you again, I'll take you to Mafa myself, understand?" He said sternly.
"My name is Yakuti, what's your name?" He said, though not in a friendly voice. He just wanted to know what to call the pup.

Kelello cringed at the sharpness of his voice.
"Hi'ya there, Yakuti", she greeted with a gulp, nervously offering a grin to break her idle expression.
She sat down, wrapping her tail across her paws in a lady-like fashion, as she had been taught by her deceased mother to do when in the presence of company. Perhaps this Yakuti would be less hostile if she acted with grace.
"W-well, umn, me name's Kelello", she stuttered, flickering her ears nervously.

"Well Kelello, if I were you, I would make sure to pay the proper respects to your superiors." He said proudly, it felt nice to be higher up than someone, "Tell you what, I'll show you how things work here, and in return, you do me a favor in the future." He said with a smile.

Kelello narrowed her eyes at Yakuti, but remained silent. She wasn't fond of the idea of a pup just a tad older than she claiming to be 'superior', although she had recently just learned what it meant to be a slave, and perhaps that did make her an insect in comparison.
Kelello blinked, pushing her thoughts away. "Yep", she finally muttered, swaying her bushy tail from side to side. She was naively unaware of the spoken contract that had occured. Bliss began to fill her eyes that she had, compared to meeting Mafa, made a new friend.

Yakuti smiled, he knew having anyone owe him would be a good thing in the future. "Right then, first off, do you have your own den? A place to stay? Its not safe to stay out in the open when asleep." He said with a nod. "And another thing, can you hunt? You look a bit on the thin side..."

"Nah", Kelello responded, leaning over to scratch a few times at a scarred ear.
The young puppy lost her balance and tumbled over onto her side. Taken by surprise, she yelped and scrambled back to her paws. She shook her head and blinked a pair of emerald green eyes; smiling, she let out a giggle and turned her focus loosely back to Yakuti. She didn't feel like listening to him. She'd much rather play.. not that Mafa would let her, she pondered.
"I don't think Mafa wants me to sleep in a den", she finally said between giggles. "And no, mommy used to hunt for me", she said, batting playfully at Yakuti's tail, with a newfound trust that only ignorance would have caused.

Yakuti huffed and stood up, swishing his tail in an irritated fasion, though he didn't say anything. "Well, you need one, and I suppose untill you get one of your own, you can use mine if you want." He mumbled, not really wanting to have this one staying with him. But they had a deal, he had to help her out.
"And I could teach you to hunt sometime, whatever." He said, trying to get her to listen, though it wasn't working well. "Come on, lets find you a place to stay or something..."

Kelello planted her claws firmly into the soil. "Thanks", she grinned, flicking her long ears nervously, "but I don't think I can have a den." Kelello paused, contemplating it. "I can sleep outside of your den", she said, with excitement filling her eyes.
"Me? Hunt?", she stopped, her eyes meeting Yakuti's. "I don't want to", she said stubbornly, and flicked her tail in emphasis. She didn't like the idea of killing a creature like the Klipspringer she had met, although she kept silent about this reason.
Her attention quickly slipped away as she began pawing at her own tail, and let out a fit of giggles as she twirled it around her paw.
