A small pup bounced around playfully chasing a grasshopper whom had skittered out of the protection of the nearby forest. As the small insect dove for cover 'Rani's paw came crashing down upon it. As the pup lifted his front right paw there was nolonger a happy living playmate, instead the being was no more than bits of decaying mass now. Sadened 'Rani slunked around letting his somewhat small hunched shoulders move slowly aimlessly. The heat this time of day was unbearable at times and while his coat was white there was sometimes even he needed a break from the sun.
The young pups crystal blue eyes traced the outlines of forest ahead of him. This was all new turf for him to explore, or so he thought. Never once did the thought of other wild dogs like himself being here cross his mind, then again sometimes there wasn't anything in his mind to speak of really. None the less 'Rani seemed to prance towards the cooler area, his ears were perked just incase there was someone or something else about.
'Shade..'
He thought to himself, not quite at the wooded landscape just yet.
((I hope I did that right. XP ))

Sure, it was his job. Neat, he could walk around and see things, not neat, he didn't have anything to do. In all the green and brown, the male wild dog seemed a clear give-away, and if only he were a good hunter, the savannah would hide him very, very well. Only Ouro hunted very badly, he knew he was a wild dog, but he wasen't exactly raised by one, instead, by a jackal. As it was, he ended up more of a scavanger than a hunter.
So instead, he was patrol, he made sure he knew about everything new in the lands, wich is why when he noticed a new smell, that he got exited; something to do! Nose in the air, the wild dog followed the scent, allowing the wind that slipped through the trees to lead him to the newcomer.
When the scent seemed close, he found it funny that he wasen't managing to see the bearer, and looked around curiously, not understanding that the other was a pup, and he was perhaps looking toohigh to find what he wanted.
"Hello? "

'Rani's nose wasn't as well trained for smells and everything was new but when someone spoke he could at least reconize that. He instantly perked up, his blue eyes looming over the forested area, looking for the sound. Finally he noticed another wild dog, this one was rather large, ok huge compared to himself and seemed friendly.
"Hi there! I'm Fulumi'rani...well...'Rani."
The pup bounced over towards the adult, hoping he was as friendly as he looked. So there was really more wild dogs right within those woods, well that was ok with him. Being alone wasn't any fun, and bugs were too small to play with these days. 'Rani's tail swatted back and forth friendly as he looked at the male half amazed, although he wasn't sure at what.
'He's brown..and white. He's old...'
'Rani pondered trying not to burst out in laughter.

The golden male blinked a bit at first, before realising the other was a pup, and eyes darting down, blinking at how easy it was to spot the other now that he looked in the right direction.
"Hi! I'm Ouro. You have a fu-- nice name. "
He would have said funny, but reminded himself that was rude. The young male, despite able to consider grown up by now, was rather pup like and playfull, and perhaps naive. Wheneer he was rude, he imagine a black jackal coming from nowhere and biting his tail; wich hurt alot.
Preta was really a control freak, wasen't she?

Tossing his tail back and forth the young pup's eyes wandered around the male and onto the forest. It wasn't odd for his mind to be in one place, his vision in another and his body in the opposite, actually it was rather normal. Trying to control his mouth from blurting anything childish out 'Rani sat perfectly still with his ears lowered abit out of respect.
"Whatcha doin' out 'ere alone Ouro?"
He knew nothing about the male, not where he came from or if there was others like him. Hoping this would lead to an answer, well heck it was worth a shot. Part of this young pup wanted to be with others, to be the social bug he knew himself to be. He'd never been in this area and hunting along with territory boundries would become apparent with abit of help from older wild dogs.
'I wonder if he has a pack, if there's pups..'
'Rani thought hopeful on this. A playmate would do him a whole bunch of good. For lack of a better way to put it 'Rani tended to talk and play with insects which he knew was weird. Alone was the only word that seemed really to cut deep into this well oiled pup, something about himself that nobody else knew, that is what defined his flip-flopping personality.

The male blinks, then puffs out his chest proudly, tail thumping against the ground. "I'm patrolling! Cuz the pack needs to know 'bout anythin' new in the lands! .. And you're new, too. " He said with a dramatic pint of realization, before shaking it off with a flick of his ears.
"Why is Rani without his ma'? "

"What ma'? I don't have one."
The pup's grin faded as he tried to remind himself there was nothing to be sad about there.
'Not every mother is a good one, it's best she not be remembered...'
'Rani thought to himself. His blue eyes scanned the forest, half expecting to see more dogs out there, there were none. Streching his paws out and then moving the relaxing motion down to his tail the pup cocked his left ear.
"I'm new, heh yeap."
He smerked before bending down to nibble out an annoying itch on his leg.

The golden male blinked, had twolegs taken pup away from his ma too? He pushed the thought out of his mind.
"Its not safe alone.. " He glanced around warily, eyeing the trees suspiciously; Ouro didn't mind lions, hyenas or cheetahs, but leopards really freaked him out, and one could show from nowhere and pounce the poor little puppy!
"Does Rani wanna come with Ouro back to pack? Is safe there, and if Miremba says you can, you can stay! " He said with a grin, knowing his leader wasen't likely to turn down a mother-less pup.

"A pack? That sounds neat, is there any pups like me?"
His tail began to wag as the thought of more pups crossed his mind. Normally he enjoyed being by himself but the idea of more wild dogs and less lions and other animals seemed a good plan. Lowering his head to scratch a small spot behind his ear 'Rani smiled.
"Miremba?"
He cocked his head slightly, wondering who she was.

The male nods. "Miremba have pups, " He said with a grin, tail wagging.
"Miremba pack-leader, an' Jeuri too. Theire nice. " He said with a smile, it seemed good for the pup to have a home.

"Oh, that's neat. It'll be great to have someone to play with."
'Rani smiled his doggy dog smile before his tail began to wag again. Ears slightly perked his blue eyes focused more on the wooded area. His fur shifted, a slight shiver of excitement coursing through his skin. The sun was still fairly high in the sky but it wasn't 'Rani's main focus and thus even if the light blinded him he honestly wouldn've really noticed.
"So, uh. How do I uh, meet Mir..Miremba 'n Jeur..i?"
Even as high and old as he thought himself 'Rani was still a pup and thus he got himself all worked up easily. Trying to remain calm and steady his excitement he realized that he'd just stuttered, something remotely normal for him.
