((This is a private RP. Unless you've been told to be here by Draconayzia, please just read and enjoy. :3 ))
Nozomi winced as she took another step and veered off of the pavement into the grass. It hadn't really crossed her mind that she shoudl have shoes on. Shoes weren't something that she worried about. Shoes were things Youko worried about and buckled onto her feet while she tried to wave them around. Still, she couldn't help but think that her feet wouldn't be this sore if she'd been wearing shoes of some type.
Still, she recognised this place... Youko had brought her here before. The trees were familiar, the pebble-strewn path (that she walked alongside, not on) leading up to the building that she remembered seeing her parents at before. This must be Fa'e HQ!
Nozomi smiled then, sitting down in the grass near the trees, watching the doorway intently. Devi came here too... maybe he would come back and she could see him then?

Anen pushed the door to HQ open. It was a rare enough occurrence that the building had been empty, but he'd been glad enough for it; he'd only wanted to check the bulletin board and the office. He stopped short as he saw a small figure outside on the grass, though. Wasn't that Kia's daughter, the Fa'e child who lived with Mr. Youko?
He started over towards her. "Nozomi? What are you doing out here by yourself?"

Nozomi looked up as her name was called, stopping from where she'd been patting at the grass with her hands. The boy coming out of the HQ was familiar to her... if she could only remember his name. It began with 'ah', she was sure...
As Anen got closer, she grinned up at him, tilting her head to the side. "Omi wait for 'evi..." she said, as if that explained everything. Amin... Aaron...
*Lightbulb*
"Aneh!" she finally yelled, clapping her hands. She couldn't say his name fully, but it was close enough.

"For Devi, huh? Devi's gone, though," Anen said, and crouched down to be on a level with the toddler. "He went to go figure some things out. Where's your daddies?"
He grinned as she came up with his name, or, well, most of it, anyway. "Anen, that's right, and you're Omi. Working on the words, I see." He glanced around again. There hadn't been anyone in HQ ... "Did you make it all this way by yourself?"

Omi frowned as she was told yet again that Devi was gone. She KNEW he was gone, and no one seemed to care. "'evi gone... Omi find 'evi." Youko hadn't seemed to care either, and she was getting frustrated with all of this. "To-sa say 'evi go 'way. 'evi come back now." As if she meant to make good on that 'finding Devi' comment right then and there, she caught hold of Anen's clothes and pulled herself up to stand. Once that was done, she seemed steady enough and started toddling off into the trees. After all, Devi hadn't been anywhere she'd been already, and he wasn't in HQ, or Anen would have said something. "Omi find."

"Whoa, hold on a sec." Anen took a few quick steps so he could get in front of Omi and put a hand down to her, hopefully keeping her from zinging off into the woods. "Where are you going? Devi's not in the woods. Well - not in these woods. Are you worried about him?"

Nodding softly, Omi looked up at Anen as if she would cry. "Omi find 'evi..." she said softly, reaching up as if to ask him to pick her up. "Aneh an' Omi find?" He was bigger than she was.... and maybe he'd be able to help find Devmani better than she could on her own. And he'd said that Devi wasn't in these woods... maybe he knew where the centaur was?

Anen picked Omi up and settled her on his hip. "You're getting big, kiddo," he said, and thought about what she'd said. "You're going to go off and see about finding Devi whether I help you or not, aren't you?" he mused aloud. "Okay, then. Anen and Omi will go find Devi. Just to see if he's okay."
He tapped her nose gently. "Omi, after we find him, we have to go back home. Devi has some things he needs to do, okay? That's why he's not here. But we'll go see. Is that good with you?"

Omi frowned, sighing softly as she rested her head against Anen's shoulder. "Want 'evi come home..." she said, barely able to be heard. But if he HAD to stay gone, at least they could make sure he was alright. "S'okay..." she replied, nodding faintly. "See if 'evi okay. Den go home."

"Yeah, I want Devi to come home, too. But he'll come home when he's done. I bet he misses you too. It'll be okay." Anen glanced up at the sky. "It's a long walk out there, Omi. How 'bout flying?"

That made her perk up.
Nozomi grinned, spreading her wings and flapping them for a moment. While she still didn't quite get the hang of flying, she'd be MORE than happy to try it with him. "OMI FWY!!" she crowed, lifting her arms up in the air. "Aneh fwy... Omi ride."
As if to let him know that she knew at least a bit about it, she wrapped her arms around his neck gently, hanging on without choking him, at least. "Aneh fwy! Find 'evi!"

"Had rides before, huh?" Anen wrapped two arms firmly around Omi, careful to support her without squashing her wings. "I bet you'll be able to do this yourself when you get a little older. It took me a while to figure it out, too." He shook his wings out and tested the breeze, made sure that Omi really was settled and hanging on, and took a few running steps to lift off.
Since it seemed that Omi had had wing rides before, he spiraled up into the air relatively quickly, headed for the layer of wind that he could feel above him. It would take them to the north faster than he could manage under just his own power. "Off we go," he said to the toddler.

"Bye, Gaia!" she yelled, and waved one arm since Anen had a grasp on her as well. She held back on then, squinting her eyes as she clung to the other Fa'e, grinning from ear to ear. She couldn't WAIT until she could fly on her own... Youko had already said that he'd find someone to teach her when she got older. Instead of lamenting the ground falling away so quickly, she turned and rested her chin on Anen's shoulder, watching his wings beat against the air as they were carried higher by the wind. "Aneh know where 'evi is?" she asked, curious to see if he really DID know where the centaur was or if he'd just told her that to keep her form hareing off on her own.

Anen grinned at Omi. Obviously she was enjoying the flight every bit as much as he was; and she did have wings, so she probably would be able to make it into the air on her own once she figured out the trick of using them. It occurred to him that when that happened, Mr. Youko would probably have even more trouble keeping Omi within arm's reach. Hm.
"Yeah," he said to her. "I asked him to tell me where he was going, just in case we had to go look for him." He angled his wings as the current of the air caught and lifted them, and watched the ground accelerate far below. "Something bad happened once, when a friend of mine went off by himself, and we didn't know where he was. I don't think anything bad is going to happen," he hastened to say, "but I had Devi tell me, just in case. So we'll go see."

"No want 'evi get hurt..." she whispered, barely heard as the wind whistled past them both. "Maybe 'evi need help?" she asked, looking to Anen as she brought up one hand to brush her hair away from her face. The pigtails that Youko had put in her hair were now coming loose, and the dark green strands were whipping around her eyes and tickling her nose.
"Omi an' Aneh help 'evi," she said, nodding as if it were hard fact instead of just an idea. "Fweinds help." It was something that Youko had said repeatedly... usually when trying to convince Envy or Trio that he really DID want to help them out.
