Luck scanned the field as he walked. He wanted to make sure everyone in his herd was okay. He also wanted to check on the lands incase something needed to be tended to.

Averti' was laying under a tree, munching on an apple.
Godiva lay asleep a few yards away with Hershey keeping watch over her.

Luck trotted over and nuzzled Averti. "Hi love" He said and blew into her mane. He nuzzled her again before walking off toward Hershey and Godiva.

Hershey lsat up as Luck aproached.
Godiva blinked sleepil when Hershey moved. "Hershey, something wrong."
"No Milady, its just Luck." He said.

Luck walked up to Hershey and neighed a hello. He glaced at Godiva and then turned his attention back to Hershey. "Everything alright?"

Hershey nodded and glanced down at Godiva. "Yep, everythings fine."
Godiva yawned. "Hello Luck." she said and laid her head back down.

He nodded. "Hello Godiva. Sorry to disturb you." He lowered his head in a bow. He looked to Hershey. "Good to hear" He smiled and then walked away very quitely.
Vale walked out of the stables and looked around. He hadn't done much exploring and was still fairly new to the ranch. He spotted some horses in the distance and trotted towards them. He saw a mare laying under a tree with an apple. He sure hoped she was friendly. He walked up slowly, as to not startle her. He spoke softly, "Hello." He said a little unsure of himself.

Averti' jumped at the sound of the horses voice and turned around. "Oh, Hello dear." She said and sat up. "I haven't seen you around here before. Are you new to the ranch?"

Vale nodded shyly. "Yes, somewhat...I've been around for a bit, but haven't really met many other horses. I-I'm sorry I startled you. Please forgive me."

Averti' smiled. "It's alright. I tend to get startled easily these days." She said and looked down at the small pile of apples next to her. "Apple?" She offered and nudged one towards Vale with her muzzle.

Vale stepped forward to accept the apple. "T-thank you." He said quietly and bit into the apple. It was very delicious and he realized that he hadn't eaten in what seemed like forever. He finished the apple quickly and then started on some grass. "H-how long have you been on the ranch?"

((this is from the thread, so not all of it pertains...))
Luck walked passed the gathered horses, listening as he went. He didn't stop, arguments were not his thing and this sounded like one he'd rather avoid. He shook his head as he went. Fights were silly in his opinion. He looked out in front of him and spotted a new horse. He broke into a trot to go welcome her.
Sable looked in the direction of fast hoof beats and saw a colorfull horse troting twards her. She nodded her head happily in greeting.
Luck slowed down as he neared and stopped a few feet from the new mare. He bowed his head. "I'm Luck. I haven't seen you around here before, so I assume you're new." He said warmly.

Sable pawed the ground lightly and snorted to hide a giggle.(?) "I'm not to new I'v been here for a while. I think a month or so now. I just don't meet to many horses." She swished her tail keeping flys at bay. "Im Sable. Its a pleasure to meet you, Luck."

"I'm sorry to have not run into you earlier. The days just seem to have flown by with nothing much happening. Let me introduce you to my mate." He began walking over to the tree where Averti lay. He soon noticed another horse by her. Curious he walked a little more briskly. He though he vaguley reckognized the other stallion.
