Aekepi walked through the gates of the park, and peered around curiously for Aurora, about to lose his nerve. It was cold, he looked like hell, and he really didn't want the other to see him like he was. Almost skeletally thin... ok, that was in Aeka's mind. But he WAS awfully thin from months of illness, and pale to boot. His fur was groomed, but a bit lacklustre, and his eyes lacked the gleam of mischief they usually held. "Aurora? You there?" White shirt. White shirt... he couldn't see any white shirts on his first and second scans. He was a bit worried...

Aurora popped into view. He was wearing not just a white shirt but white pants as well. His normally pale skin seemed to make him look nearly ghostly. But his golden hair was curled as if he had just done it up for Aekepi.
His eyes widened at the sight of his friend andhe rushed over. "My ghosh Aekepi! you are so thin!" he excliamed as he then looked a bit cross with himself. "I knew i should of brought more snacks.." he mumbeled.

He smiled over at Aurora, and laughed a bit. "Ne, I'm fine. I told you I looked ghastly." He snickered quietly, stretched, and coughed a bit before calming. "It is HOT out here. One would think it'd be cooler at night, right?" He kicked a pebble, and watched it skip across the ground. "So... what has everyone been up to while I've been sick?"

Aurora clasped Aekepi's hand and dragged him towards a park bench, where a backpack sat opened. 'You should be resting!" he continued and then releasing Aekepi's hand, he then went through his bag and brought out a juice box. Apple.
"Here you should drink plenty of fluids." he said as he offered Aekepi the drink. His lute sat beside the backpack , the moonlit reflecting off it's polished surface.
"Not as much as you would think..." he finally replied to Aekepi's questions. "I have just gotten back in touch with Medeine and i saw Kinnara only once and I havn't really done much except learn how to play the lute."

"Can I at least hear how you play?" he asked quietly, his hand reluctant to leave Aurora's. He sighed softly, and took the juice box, sipping the contents. He really didn't feel all that well anymore, and it was anyone's guess just what was going on with him. He smiled. "I haven't seen anyone - so I've got you beat fair and square." He chuckled, and took another sip. "You look good. But please... play for me?"

Chewing on the tip of his thumb he lowered his hand seeing his friend drinking the liquid and then nodded his head.
"Of course I can play for you. I brought my lute just so I could." Aurora then moved the backpack and its contents onto ground and picked up his lute and stummed his fingers along it. Hearing a cord out of tune he then adjusted it to the perfect pitch.
He then sat down and strummed again before pausing and looking deep in thought.
"Got requests? or will anything do?" he asked a smile lighting on his face.

"Errrr..." began Aekepi. "I'm not too caught up on classics. Anything will do. I wouldn't know what to request. The farthest along I've gotten in my guitar lessons is Greensleeves. And that's not very hard at all. It's not like I can do stuff with it yet." He realized that he'd said something new about himself, and his ear flicked in a bit if irritation. He forgot to tell Aurora! "Sorry, I did forget to tell you. I've been taking guitar lessons to pass the time while I recovered. But like I said - I still suck."

Aurora gave a soft exclamation. "WOw! That is great Aekepi! Once you get better we could start a band." Aurora mused out loud, and then he laughed, "Though we may need a couple more people to play." he gave another laugh, this one soft and tinkling.
"Well how about this song then?" Aurora cleared his throat and strummed a coulpe notes on the lute. he ave Aekepi a smile, 'I just learned this one after i watched the movie it was in." he explained as he then began to sing softly.
I follow the night Can't stand the light When will I begin To live again?
One day I'll fly away Leave all this to yesterday What more could your love do for me? When will love be through with me? Why live life from dream to dream? And dread the day when dreaming ends
(Instrumental)
One day I'll fly away Leave all this to yesterday Why live life from dream to dream? And dread the day when dreaming ends
One day I'll fly away Fly, fly Away

Aeka's eyes closed, and he slumped back against the bench. This was bliss. Aurora's voice sliced the night air like a silver knife, beautiful and haunting all at the same time. It also helped that Aekepi was very much in... 'like' with him. Though he wanted to say it was more, and wouldn't for fear of being rejected. "You sing like an angel, 'Rora.." he said quietly, when the song was finished.

Aurora looked up from his instrument and cast Aekepi a glance before blushing. "no no i doubt my voice could be comparible to an angels. " he answered embaressed.
"Would you like to give it a try?" he asked offering the lute to Aekepi. "I mean it isn't a guitar but they are somewhat similar."

"M...me? Try that?" He blinked, and looked at the instrument in a hesitant manner. "What if I break it? Gods, I'd feel horrible if I broke it... like, snapped a string or something..." He felt a blush rising at the next sentence. "And yeah... you DO sing like an angel, 'Rora. Best I can manage is a half-in-tune croak."

Aurora giggeled his boyish giggle and then offered the lute persitantly. "Come now I know you won't break it in half." he laughed trying to imagine such a thing happening. "And a broken string is fixable, not the end of the world."
He gave him one of his bright smiles, "Come even if you can't sing you can play. We can choose a song i can sing to and you can strum to."

He swallowed, and took it, running his fingers over the strings, and producing a halfway decent sounding chord. His eyes widened in surpise, and he strummed again with his fingers in a different position. The different chord sounded beautiful. He grinned, and started strumming in what he didn't know was G-chord, and just having a good time. He liked music, but he never would have thought he'd be able to MAKE music... Not like this, at least.

"See. I told you that it wasn't that hard." Aurora laughed and then moved a bit closer to Aekepi and wrapped an darm around him so his fingers could reach Aekepi's cord hand. "Now if you shift you fingers like this.." he trailed moving Aekepi's fingers to form the C cord, "YOu get the C cord." he explained as he then moved back again watching Aekepi happily.
It was great seing him again and even better that Aekepi seemed to be having a good time.

He grinned slightly, and looked over towards Aurora. He wondered, vaguely, if the other boy could hear his heart pounding, as Aeka was sure he could. He swallowed back something he was going to say, and looked down at the instrument. The touch of 'Rora's hand almost froze him in his tracks, but he regained himself, and nodded, strumming the chord. His heart was somewhere in the vicinity of his throat. He couldn't speak without choking.
