 I wasn't sure where to put this... but this is slightly fan-made, so why not?
My sister got back into the Sims, and while watching her make some characters, I saw some outfits that remind me of Rent (of course). So I made myself a Mark and a Roger, and put them in the cheapest house, and tried not to use the money cheat (failing just a little) so their house would be super bohemian and fabulous. And I was going to make a Mimi in this adorable leopard-skin dress... but I didn't. :b
Well, my Mark and Roger sims were simply having a brief chat after breakfast when this topic came up. Apparently they started discussing the night Roger met Mimi, and her job and the handcuffs and such. neutral ... I only hope it was about Mimi, atleast. Who knows what with the cuddling and kissing and flirting the two have been doing.
Anyone else done a bit of Rent on their Sims or other games?

Haha ALL my Sims are all Rent-itized...
Collins and Angel are rich,
Maureen came over and slapped Mark for no reason..
Mimi almost died.
Benny had a fling with Mimi so Muffy (Alison!) moved out..
And Mark went crazy from loneliness.
Oh, and Roger started a fire cause he can't cook.
Did I mention all this happened with the game on free will?

Maureen came over and slapped Mark for no reason..
Mimi almost died.
Benny had a fling with Mimi so Muffy (Alison!) moved out..
And Mark went crazy from loneliness.
Oh, and Roger started a fire cause he can't cook.
Did I mention all this happened with the game on free will?

xd That's hilarious!
Mark wants to marry Roger, but I don't think Roger is ready for that, so Mark is all sad. I think that's rather depressing in a hilarious sort of way. And Mark is the bad cook for me, and he's a level4 chef. He can't even make the toaster pastries without burning. While Roger, who hasn't studied cooking, is apparently very good at it.

So far, I've only made Roger and Mimi and they're living together and are married.
This random dude came over once and I made Roger argue with him until they were able to fight. Roger lost and then won the second time. I now call the dude he faught with the Benny of the neighborhood.
My sister said that she was going to make a Mark character, she just needed to figure out who to make him live with.

hahahaaa i want Renty sims now!!
when my sister gets back from vacation i'm making Rent characters on her Sims 2, and i don't care what she says, because i only like making characters...i'm bad at playing with them xd

I made a Rent family
And I also was going to remake the Rent movie using the photo album feature
So I made one really tall like 4 or 5-story building that had the loft on top (tried to get it really accurate to the movie) and the bedrooms (Angel with Collins, Roger with Mimi, etc.) beneath and the bottom floor was the kitchen and bathroom
And then there were other things to the sides, like a stage for the performance and a "roof" on another tall building and a street and subway thing
It was gonna be awesome
I haven't really done it yet, though
Too busy just making the characters fall in love with the right people (and in the case of Roger and Mark, with the "wrong" people as well xDDD)

Readera- Yep, Roger and Mark are messy, Mimi is neat freak, Collins and Angel are the most playful, Maureen is outgoing while Joanne is shyer, and Benny is just...Benny. Well, he's neat.

You know, I want to get Sims 2 so bad. So I can do crap like that.... is it better for the computer or for the ps2? I know it's cheaper to get the ps2 game, but I wonder why. sweatdrop Anyone know?

My reccomendation for anyone is DON'T DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. Something happens when you download things from the sims 2 site, so that it sometimes freezes your Sims game and makes everything unselectable. But if you custom make things, it doesn't do the same thing.
@baka-baka: It's better for computer, because you can do things with the keyboard and mouse that you can't do in the ps2 game.

On mine...
Angel and Collins got married and they were all happy. But then for some reason Collins would always start slapping Angel and getting mad at her. D:
Then eventually she would start crying every time he walked by.
Then Roger fell in love with Angel for some strange reason.
Mark, well Mark loved Roger.
D: It was weird.
I eventually patched up the thing with Angel and Collins. Gawd, he became a wife beater though for some reason.
Oh and they had "whoopee" three times in a row. o~o
Here's an awesome place for skins though. They just made Maureen!

I've never played the PS2 version, but I have the original game for PS2, so I'm just going off of that, but my brother has played it and says that they're similar. But he also said it was a good game.
I learned, today, how to make custom portraits on the Sims. To test it out, I used a pic of Rosario and Adam, and it's hanging on my wall in the house....I made another of Idina.
