A pale figure was wandering through the Mistweaver lands. Lime green eyes took in the scenery as Sevati noticed that there weren't many lions around. Other than her family and Kimaji, she hasn't met any other lions in this pride. Following a small stream, the cub spotted the fish in the stream and smiled. They darted away from her, but she had no intentions of hunting fish, for she was not hungry. Rather, she was just looking for any other pride members and taking in the scenery.

A little further down the stream there was another pale figure, although this one was much larger than the cub. The young adult lion seemed completely lost in thought, as his soft gaze moved slowly over the stream. His reflection, although wobbly and distorted by the gentle ripples of the water, showed a lion that was completely at peace with his life.

Sighing contently, he shifted his body to lie down, which is when he caught a glimpse of someone else nearby. Eyes narrowed, he returned to a sitting position in an attempt to get a better look at whoever was approaching. This was his first time meeting someone new after hearing all that Maji had to say about intruders. As the figure came closer though, he realised just how small it was, and allowed himself to relax. Smiling, he lifted his paw to give a small wave. "Hello little one." He called out in his usual soft tone.

Ears perked up as a deep voice called out a greeting. Lime green eyes shifted before settling on a large, tan male. Sevati made her way over to the male, curious. With a smile, she shyly greeted the other, "Hi." Tilting her head slightly, "Do you live here?" She sure did hope so, she hadn't met another single pride member other than her family and Kimaji. While looking at the other, she noticed that he was big and fluffy. Shaking her head to clear her thoughts away, "I haven't met many others."

Tumai nodded, returning the cub's smile. "I've lived here for quite a while." Saying that, he bowed his head politely, allowing parts of his mane to fall freely over his face. "My name is Tumai. Pleased to meet you." As he raised his head, he continued to smile, flicking back the loose strands that had fallen over his face.

Although he was only a young adult, the last time he had come into contact with a cub was back when he was a cub himself. Now, he looked at this cub as a lesson, as he would one day be a father to a litter of cubs. "And what might your name be?"

Lime green eyes widen slightly in surprise! Another pride member afterall! And here Sevati was thinking there wasn't anyone else around for miles! She smiled slowly, but let the curves of her mouth light up her face. "I am Sevati. It's nice to meet you, Tumai." She was watching him curiously before his fluffy mane caught her attention. It looked so inviting as well as his tail. She turned her head slightly before she crouched low to the ground. Leaping through the air, she pounced on his tail and rolled over with a soft giggle. "Gotcha!" She turned to Tumai, "My mommy's name is Athiri and my daddy's name is Akamu'Haka. Though, my mommy is sick right now."

"That's a lovely name." He replied, his tone of voice remaining soft. Still smiling, he looked breifly over the cub, taking in her bright colours and markings. He doubted that she was a pure blood Mistweaver, as her colours were much different from Maji's, 'Kela's, Ramses' and Enki's, so he assumed that she had been born here to new members of the Pride.

Tumai found it quite difficult to harbour negative feelings towards anyone, and although he had thought carefully about everything that Maji had said, he really didn't know what he would do if he found himself in one of those situations. This cub seemed so innocent and care-free, could he really bring himself to eject her and her family if they weren't supposed to be there?

His train of thought was de-railed eventually as he felt something land on his tail. Chuckling, he looked over his shoulder. "You're quite the little hunter aren't you?" Saying that, he lifted up his tail, only to playfully flop it back down on to Sevati's head, gently of course. He didn't recognise the names of her parents, but even so, it troubled him that her mother was ill. "Has she been to see Maji? Perhaps he could help."

As Tumai's tail landed on her head, Sevati let out a giggle before bringing up a paw to try and nab it. At his words, she smiled, "I guess if I hunted I would be, but I don't hunt anything here other than the fish. The fish are quite a challenge." He was such a nice color, she noted. And his tail was fun to play with. She pawed and batted at it a few times before looking back up at him. "My daddy tried to see Maji, but Maji was very busy and couldn't come to see my mommy. She got sick after she gave birth to us a long time ago." Lime green eyes looked around, "I was hoping she would get better and show her all my friends that I've made...but there aren't many lions here! I only met Kimaji, she's a cub like me! And...Chepi, Chepi's a deer!" A soft giggle escaped from the little white cub, "Do you have family here, Tumai?"

"Well, practice does make perfect. Keep at it, and when you get older, no doubt you'll be one of the greatest hunters around." Tumai seemed to be getting the hang of talking to the cub, giving her encouragement for the future and complimenting her skills. She seemed rather mature for her age too, which was a good thing.

As Sevati mentioned that Maji was busy, he nodded his head thoughtfully, but didn't say anything more on that particular matter. "Your mother will be in my thoughts, I hope she gets better soon."

Smiling fondly as the cub asked if he had any family here, he nodded again. "My sister Ithi joined the Mistweavers just before I did. We never really got along as cubs, but she has changed a lot since then." Glancing away from the cub for a moment, he thought about his mother and Hisi. "My mother and my other sister Hisi live very far away from here."

Lime green eyes widen at the compliment as a light blush spread across Sevati's features. She turned her head slightly and pawed at the ground, "Ah, thanks." She didn't know what else to say about that, but it made her feel warm and fuzzy inside to think that another adult felt that she could be a good hunter. Ears perked up at the mention of her mother before her mouth rounded in an O. How kind Tumai was being!

Then, as he spoke about his family, she listened intently. He had siblings and a mother! This amazed the little white cub. Though, he wasn't together with his family and this confused her? Wheren't family supposed to stay together. She made her way next to Tumai and sat down. Lime green eyes looked back up at the male with a questioning look, "You're not with your family? But...aren't families suppose to stay together? I would miss my sisters and my parents if I lived far away from them."

Tumai chuckled as the cub blushed. "You're very welcome Sevati." He replied, looking down at the cub. It was then that he realised that he was towering over her, so he moved to lie himself down, folding his front paws as he did so.

As Sevati sat down beside him and questioned him, he thought carefully about how he was going to answer. He didn't want the cub to go back to her parents with the wrong kind of advice. "There may come a time in your life when you wish to explore new places and meet new friends. Although your family will be sad to let you go, they will support you regardless." Tumai paused for a moment before continuing. "When that time came for me, I was worried about leaving my mother and sister behind, but it was my mother who encouraged me to leave." He smiled. "Although it may not seem like it at times, your parents only ever want what's best for you. My mother wanted me to have a better life than what she had had, so when I found out about the Mistweavers, she urged me to go and find them."

He sighed lightly, glancing towards the stream as he did so. "I miss them both very much, but as long as your family remain close to your heart, it doesn't matter how far away they are in reality."

As Tumai lied down next to her, Sevati smiled. Now, the male was close to her height and she had he advantage of playing in his fluffy mane. She smiled before climbing onto his back and snuggling in his large, fluffy mane. "Ah, I claim this as my new home!" She laughed softly before her tail flicked back and forth.

Quite happy with her current spot, she had listened to his words as he answered her questions. It made sense, at least the part about family support. She wasn't quite sure if she felt any excitement about the idea of leaving her home here. "I think that makes sense, Tumai. I know my Daddy would encourage me to do something I like, especially if it made me happy. He told me that before, when we watched the sunrise together one morning." She smiled at the memory, it was quite nice to have such a memory. "I don't know...am I strange for not wanting to explore new places outside of home? I know my sister is always out with her friends while I am usually alone," She paused to think but nothing came to her, "I guess...I feel different. Like the odd one of my family. I don't look like either of my parents, neither of them are white like me. I thought it made me special, but is that really a good thing?"

She let the question linger in the air. She did look completely different than her sisters, both of them took on one of her parent's main color, while she was different. She snuggled in Tumai's large main and felt quite happy to have someone to talk to. In a small voice, "There are a lot of things here to find, I don't even know all the pride members."

As Sevati climbed on to his back, Tumai felt such a feeling of warmth and love inside him, thanks to the little cub. Although they had just met, it was such a display of trust and affection that he could only wish would one day be a part of his own cubs. He smiled happily, laughing along with the confident cub.

Tumai shook his head when questioned, chuckling a little. "No, of course not. There are many different reasons that one may choose for wanting to explore. My sister Ithi just wanted to go out on her own to prove that she could, and my mother wanted me to join the Mistweavers because she wanted me to have a better life. The reason I myself chose to leave my family and seek out the Mistweavers was a quest for knowledge. I wanted to learn about the World outside of the Crater where I was born."

Although Tumai had been in the Mistweaver Valley for a long time, even he hadn't met all the members of the Pride, and seen every corner of the Valley. "Maybe that should be your quest. Meeting new Pride members and exploring the entire Valley."

As Sevati went on, he pondered for a moment, before smiling over his shoulder. "Even if I was blind, I would still be able to see just how special you are. No doubt your parents feel the same." Grinning, he flicked his tail to playfully bat the cub again. "So no, you're not strange, but you're definatly special."

Within his fluffy mane, Sevati felt quite warm and content. She rolled over to her side slightly and pawed at a few strands of hair that were in front of her. It was nice for her to be interacting with another. Blinking, her lime green eyes shifted slightly towards where Tumai's head should be. "Crater? What's a crater?" She's never heard that term before, and it was new to her.

As his words put together something she wanted to do, it sounded so good to hear it put that way. Yes, she was in search of all the members of the pride before she remembered what her father told her. Many here wouldn't like her. Her breathing quiet down a bit before she whispered, "Will the others like me? Do you like me, Tumai?" She curled her tail around her body slightly while she tried to hide in Tumai's mane, "My Daddy told me that I look like his mom, but she wasn't a nice lion and he ran away to here for protection..." Her voice died off slowly. She was scared about not making friends and not being liked. In a tiny voice full of worry, "I want to make friends."

Tumai was careful not to let the little cub fall off his back, so he shifted his weight ever so slightly as he felt her move too far to one side. "A crater is basically a huge, very deep hole in the ground. The entire Mistweaver Valley could probably fit into the Ngorongoro Crater, which is where I was born."

As Sevati's movements and tone of voice changed, Tumai looked over his shoulder again, a concerned look on his face. "Of course I like you, and I'm sure everyone else will too. Why would they not?" After the cub explained why she felt that way, Tumai seemed rather puzzled for a moment, but shrugged it off quickly. "You, or your father, can't be held responsible for the actions of another family member. Just because one piece of rotten fruit may grow on a tree, it doesn't mean that the rest of the fruit is rotten too."

Purring softly, Tumai nuzzled the cub's cheek reassuringly, his mane burying her just a bit. "I don't think you have anything to worry about."

At Tumai's reassuring words, Sevati felt herself relax slightly before she peeked her head out of his mane. She loved it, it was so fluffy and being the runt of the litter did have some advantages. She was small. Her lime green eyes gazed at Tumai as he nuzzled her. It felt nice, and warm, like her father would nuzzle her, but of course Tumai wasn't her father. This little white cub was starting to like Tumai, he was nice! A soft purr escaped from her as she slowly crept forward enough on his shoulders to take her paw and touch his cheek. With a smile, she went for his ear and nipped it gently and giggled, "Gotcha!"

Her tail wagged from side to side as she had a smile plastered on her face. His words reassured her that things would be alright and she should look for other members of the pride, she would love to have more friends. "A crater...that sounds neat. Perhaps I might like to see it sometime!" At his latter words, she rested back into his mane and purred to him, "That's what my Daddy said too. That I was a good cub and shouldn't worry about my grandma. I don't want to be a bad lion!" Her head shook from side to side, "If you say I have nothing to worry about, then I don't have anything to worry about!" She tilted her head and was curious, "Do you have any cubs, Tumai? You would be an awesome Daddy! I like you!"
