Relm (Trelweny) & Seifer (Bullseye) & random members of their 'families' for the most part. Please ask first before posting. Thanks!

What: Relm's 'hunting' to meet Seifer
When: First week or so of August 2006
Where: Area around the shop, somewhere in the woods.

User ImageThe artist's emotions were still running high. Except for her rash of paintings there were no other signs of the emotional barrage she had been assailed with, however unintentionally. The heightened emotions had lead the artist to decide something, however. She wanted to meet this 'Seifer' whose picture she had seen in the Audio roster. The residual undercurrent's of Trelweny's emotions encouraged her that sooner was better than later. For if it did not pan out as she hoped -and the artist-mage hoped she was right- she could sooner try to get her mind off him & perhaps onto someone else. If she was right... well, more fun times to be had.

Going past the same tree for the fourth time the female removed her red beret with its yellow feather with a sigh of frustration, throwing back her head. Sometimes she hated her independent stubbornness. She did not know why she thought finding the male would be as easy as the time she had followed Grandpa Strago after the fire when they tried to leave her behind. Of course, following was a lot easier than finding. Especially when nothing was known of the quarry.

Placing the beret back on her head jauntily Relm flipped her cloak to remove stray dirt & other signs of wear from it, then brushed off her clothes as well. If she did happen to find him, she wanted to look decent. At least in the shade of the trees it was relatively cool. Relm resisted the urge to cast Ice to cool off. Setting off again, she thought how nice it would be if Gau had been able to teach her some tracking skills or something. Another sigh as she saw the pointlessness of that as well: she still had nothing of Seifer's to go on.

It was foolish, going through all this effort on a picture of someone she had never met. She knew that. Still she pressed on.

((>> *borrows Trel's way of showing who the heck is talking* I don't wanna switch colors a bazillion times XD...))

It would seem Relm was a better tracker than she thought. Despite not knowing much about the one she was seeking, her quarry wasn't that far off. In fact, said quarry and his counterpart were walking right towards Relm at this very moment.

"Man do you even know where we're going?"
"Who says we had a destination? We're on patrol, gotta keep the discipline right?"
"Oh please, you don't even have the rest of your committee!"
"So?! I can do it alone!"

Seifer huffed, giving his darker counterpart a slightly annoyed glare. Sefirex merely smirked and backed off the subject. As much fun as it could be to annoy Seifer, he knew better than to push the wrong buttons.

"Yeah yeah whatever you say, so long as we find something interesting soon..."

Seifer sighed, knowing that the other's idea of interesting included being in a bed with just about anyone having a good time.

"Uh huh...I'm sure we will..."

((*grins* I actually picked it up from Progolo while we were RPing in Kyendi Guild while Kasu/Paper was gone from Gaia. So much easier with the way I like to write. ^_^ ))

At the sound of voices Relm spun, instantly on the offensive. Her memories of adventuring were not so far from her that the instincts honed from trying to save the world had dulled yet. Her brush was held like a sword in front of her & the corner of Relm's mouth twitched with amusement at how silly she must look even as she prepared for a possible battle. For a brush would look silly as a weapon; to one who did not know the power of her art, at any rate.

Green eyes blazing with excitement & heart pounding she called out with a sure clear voice. "Who's there?"

Expecting something to charge any minute as she gave away her position, the artist waited with almost gleeful anticipation. Anything was better than the growing boredom of walking alone in these woods.

The boy's ears perked up, both alert to the sound of the voice, though for different reasons. The voice meant someone was there, and to Seifer that meant someone to check up on to make sure they were following the 'rules' he had taken upon himself to set for the area. Sefirex on the other hand took the voice as a chance to have some real fun.

"I think the real question here is--"
"Who are YOU?"

Both male Audio made their way through the bushes, quickly breaking into the clearing that held the artist. While Seifer merely raised a brow, Sefirex let out an appreciative whistle.

A slight widening of her eyes signaled her surprise at seeing two nearly identical 'Seifer's. They were even more attractive in person than the pictures had shown. She had thought the second image with altered name merely a misspelling of the first when seeing it in the roster. Unless the woods were rigged with trick mirrors. But how then the change of clothes?

She felt her pulse racing faster and the corner of her mouth twitched wanting to smile in success & joy that the artist did not quite want to reveal. The whistle startled her, understanding its meaning even as she was surprised that it was for her. Relm the child had never been whistled at in such a way. She was not sure she liked it, though it made her feel good to think that she would be found attractive rather than cute. Summoning all her acting skills with her clever determination Relm straitened up proudly. "I am Relm Arrowny, once of Thamasa."

Managing to narrow her eyes judiciously at Seifer & Sefirex she feigned ignorance. "Now will you boys be courteous enough to answer a lady's question as to who you are?"

Almost primly but with inner strength hinting at the female's adventuring experience Relm moved her hand to rest on her hip, waiting for their reply. She hoped that the delight that probably shimmered in her eyes would be taken as something else.

Be still my beating heart!

Seifer and Sefirex glanced at each other. Well, in both their minds they had found something to hold their interest. Though, again, obviously for different reasons.

The two looked back to Relm, Seifer offering his name first.
"Seifer Almasy, head of the disciplinary committee."
"Self proclaimed, of course."
"Shut it!"

Seifer gave his 'twin' a glare, but the darker clad Audio merely smirked at him in response before offering his own name.
"The name's Sefirex, and I'm sure I speak for both of us when I say it's a pleasure to meet you."
"Suck up..."
"What's your point?"

The two glared at each other for another moment before breaking into smirks.

Relm pressed her mouth shut tightly barely containing her mirth. Green eyes sparkled with giddy excitement. This would certainly be fun. Perhaps even more than she could have imagined. Which was saying a lot.

"If you're not going to attack... it's a pleasure to meet you too." More than you could know. She bobbed a small curtsy, not quite smiling but letting the corners of her mouth curve ever so slightly. Hard, when it felt like her heart was singing. Absently she turned down the music on her headphones so it would not distract her.

Tapping her brush lightly to her mouth, Relm turned her head thoughtfully. Casting them a sideways glance she asked "What is this 'disciplinary committee? I've not heard anything about a disciplinary committee. Or even much on rules for that matter."

She wanted to hear them speak more. Their voices though similar had definitely different tones to them. Somehow -and she was not sure why she thought this- it seemed their words & their underlying 'goodness' were reversed. The one speaking most pleasantly seemed the more dangerous & Relm was curious why she might think that.

"Attack? No reason to attack, so long as you aren't trying to cause trouble."
"Fighting is fun, yes, but not when other fun can be had."
"Can you go like..maybe five minutes without thinking of the bedroom?"
Seifer stared at the darker version of himself, who merely smirked in response.
"Guess not."
"Duh, it'd ruin the fun if I stopped thinking about it."

Sefirex crossed his arms, while Seifer kept his own by his sides. Relm was right, despite how similar they looked, it was like each took on a personality and role to compliment the other. Though at the time, Sefirex was taking on the 'nicer' role when he was anything but that.

"I made the committee, to make sure the Audios around here behave and don't cause too much trouble."
"Or you know, follow our idea of the perfect society."
"Exactly, and hey it's worked. The place hasn't burned to the ground now has it?"
"Point..."

She wanted to agree -thinking both fighting & 'other' fun to be quite fun, though she had not experienced the later yet- but refrained. Instead Relm faced them nearly full-on again with arched eyebrow for the bedroom comment. Clearly, Sefirex was easy on such matters, but less likely to be able to commit. Which clarified Seifer as the one she wanted to 'work' on. Relm mentally nodded to herself, as she confirmed an initial presumption that she had made upon seeing Seifer's picture.

"So what 'rules' are these? If you don't mind my asking." She wanted to add something about how perhaps it would be more fun if audios cut it up a bit more, but held her tongue. Perhaps the time would come for that thought later. "And how exactly do you reinforce them?"

There was a slight trace of naughtiness in her second question, as her eyes flickered with intelligence & mischief. It could be fun to push the rules, if the resulting retribution was interesting enough.

"Well...erm..."
"What he means to say, is so far no one has broken said rules, and therefore we haven't had to reinforce them."
"Exactly, and basically the rules are easy...don't screw up the area, and don't get in our way."
"Unless, of course, we want you there. Then it's a different story."
"Right"
The two nodded to each other and Relm as well, smirks finding their way to both the boy's maws. Sefirex at least had similar thoughts about how naughty a punishment could be. Seifer's thoughts were drifting back towards Namine however.

"So just be good, got it?"
"Or don't, no skin off our nose."
"Shut it Sefi..."

"So the rules are your rules really. Except the common sense one. The other is subject to interpretation & likely your moods at the time & therefore no one could ever hope to intentionally or unintentionally keep or break your rule of "don't get in our way"."

Their banter was kind of cute. Relm almost wished she could read their thoughts. "Don't worry. I'm always good." A completely mischievous look brightened her face. "Though at what, I don't think I'll say just yet."

The problem, Relm knew, with a statement like that was that it could be missleading. That was half the point. She also knew that however much she understood, she was still innocent.

"Exactly! Hey Seif, this one's pretty smart!"
"What, ya thought she was stupid?"
"I didn't say that! It was just an observation, sheesh!!"
The two growled at each other a moment before turning their gazes back to Relm.
"Good, huh? Why do I get the feeling there's more to that statement..."
"Probably because there is, duh?"
"True, but if so things could prove more interesting than we previously thought, yes?"
"Yep"

Sefirex grinned at his lighter half, walking somewhat closer to Relm to get a better look. Seifer hung back, watching the scene closely. Let the dark one get himself into trouble, it wasn't like he was a stranger to it anyway.

"So, sweetheart, now that you know just what we do here, may we ask just what it is you do?"

How she managed to keep the mischievous look on her face without letting her eyes widen Relm never could guess. The flickers between worry & amusement during their latest back & forth banter likely had been seen, despite her attempts to retain a more neutral facade. She was pleased to not be thought stupid -though she would have become enraged if they had thought her so- but at the same time she was beginning to think that she was if not stupid, rather foolish. After all, who but a fool expected someone to be something from the look of a picture? And who but a fool taunted as she had? Relm grasped her brush tightly, ready to defend herself if she need. Her coy response surprised her. "Wouldn't you like to know."

Although her blood thrummed at the thought of two, her heart & mind reminded her that such was fine only if they were true to her. The artist's heart sank, fearing for perhaps the first time that Seifer & Sefirex were more worldly in experience than she was. That was, if what she thought she saw in Sefirex's eyes was any indicator. Suddenly, Relm wished she had not left Rikku's communicator at home. No matter. She could handle whatever happened. She hoped.

(( heart ))

Sefirex snarled dangerously, greenish eyes seeming to flash as they narrowed in the direction of Relm.
"I would like to know, and that's exactly why I asked you...."
Despite his thoughts being focused on the bedroom quite a bit, Sefirex also had the tendency to be rather snappy when questioned.

"Calm the hell down Sefi, you're just annoyed she can bite back."
"Shut up Seif..."
Sefirex snarled at his lighter half, who, despite the smirk evident on his face, knew he was treading in dangerous water. They might be 'twins' in a sense, but that didn't stop them from getting into some rather nasty fights.
"You shut it Sefi, we barged in on her you know. She has a right to be secretive, however annoying it may be to you."
"Whatever...."
Growling at Relm one last time, the darker Audio walked back to stand beside his twin. Once there, he turned his still annoyed gaze on Relm, while Seifer turned his own bluish eyes on the female.
"Please excuse him, it seems he's not quite fully trained yet."
"Like you'll ever fully train me..."
"Yeah, I like to hold the hopes you aren't a complete loser and can be trained into something worthy."
Sefirex snorted in response, keeping his eyes on Relm.

Though her worry rose even as Sefirex backed away Relm stood firm. Her green eyes narrowed slightly & a flush that she hoped would be taken as one of anger spread across her cheeks. She did not want to tell them yet about her painting; something within told her that she might yet want the advantage of surprise. And though it was all right to tease or otherwise insinuate sexual prowess, Relm was not about to lie out-right. "I'm sorry to disappoint, but we can't always get what we want, can we? A lady must keep her secrets."

Her face remained hard & rather impassive, but her tone was almost sweet & wistful. No. As her primal side argued with her romantic nature within her, Relm knew that her own wants & desires were foolish; and she was not even now sure what she wanted. The primal force within her wanted to take the males on -together- in a way that she was certain the darker of the two was already contemplating. Worse, when Sefirex growled at her that side seemed to swell as if responding to an unvoiced challenge. Her blood sang beneath her skin. There was a fear of being found inadequate in that department; that perhaps her knowledge would not be enough for what she was starting to believe was their experience level. That fear sided with the romantic in her: the one that wanted one male, just for her. One that she could 'train' -Seifer's word wedged somehow inappropriately in her thoughts so that she could not think of a better one.

Without intending to -for it went against her show of strength- Relm let out a heartfelt sigh. Her imagination had run off with her yet again & she felt bereft in the face of the light & dark twins' reality.
