The chilled winter air stung at Shikamaru's face as he strolled down the Konoha streets, his hands inside his pants pockets. He sighed deeply, his breath coming out in a white vapor. Another boring day..how troblesome the young ninja thought, stopping to look up at the clouds. The day really was boring. Evreybody had somthing to do as Christmas came closer. Buying presents, Asking there loves out to the Holiday Ball, Playing in the snow..he sighed once more. Would he ever find somthing to do today?

He looked around, bored. Little children threw snowballs at eachother, laughing, not a care in the world. Elder people, although smiling happily, tryed to avoid slipping and sliding in the ice below there feet. He wonderd where his team was. He chuckled to himself. Chouji was probably enjoying a nice hot cup of hot chocolate. Ino...Man, the day was a a drag without her. Probably trying to get at Sasuke. But he wouldn't let him get her. Why? Because..he wanted Ino. And where were the other? Despite the cold, it was a nice day..but boring still.

Shikamaru stopped, hearing footsteps behind him. He turned and saw the Hyga heir, Hinata, playing with a little girl that he assumen to be her sister. Or maybe a cousin, like Neji. Approching the two he said " Good Morning, Hinata-chan. How are you today?" Finally, somebody to talk to. It wasn't Ino, but hey, she was somthing. Maybe today wouldn't be such a drag after all.

Tenten smiled as she walked along the icy streets, a large shopping bag swinging in her hand. She mentally patted herself on the back for being a morning person and naturally waking up early. There was hardly ANYBODY out shopping, and she was easily able to find Christmas gifts for her family, sensei, and teammates. She also congratulated herself for being able to find good gifts at low prices...after all, she wanted something a little more special for HIM.

So yeah, she spent more money on Neji's gift. But it's not like anyone would care!

Her face was tinged pink, a mix of being out in the cold and thinking about her crush on the Hyuuga boy that she had had since forEVER.

She had taken the long route home. Why? Because she got to pass by HIS house. He was probably sleeping still, but that wsa okay.

As she got into view of the Hyuuga manor, she spotted a spikey ponytail. "Shikamaru?" she questioned. She made her way closer, and found her guess to be correct. Not only was Shikamaru there, but so was Hinata, and her little sister, Hanabi. Neji's first cousins. Yep, she knew a bit about the Hyuuga clan.

Deciding to stop and chat -for maybe Neji would come outside and greet her!-, Tenten jogged over to the group, a puff of white mist sneaking from her mouth as she breathed.

"Shikamaru, Hanabi, Hinata! Good morning!" she greeted contently, waving her hand.

Sasuke laying awake on his bed staring out into the window watching the snow fall, he ever since returning to Konoha wasn’t seen out side much... still punishing himself for how he effected everyone when he left. He tarnished his name... in order to get back at his brother. He puts on his black Uchiha shirt with long sleeves, and instead of white shorts he wears white pants and instead of leg wraps he wears long black socks and his shin warmers. Just before he leaves he grabs his new Leaf headband but doesn’t put it on he instead puts it in his pocket. “I wonder if anyone is out at this time,” he says as he walks out and locks his door feeling to cold wind that blew his hair into his face.

Sauske walking just down the block not even at a crossing he doesn’t notice someone carrying bags until she bumped into him. He backed off in slight a daze and noticed it was Sakura… “Sakura… I um… needed some air…” his eyes hollow still feeling terrible what he put everyone thru. He was happy to see some one at least that did not give him a dirty look. “What are you doing up this early?” he asked some what concerned as he turned his head so she can only see one eye It was cold but at least now he had someone to talk to.

Hinata hesitating to ask, "Shikamaru, your a boy. W-what kind of gifts do boys like?" Too scared to admit that she was looking for a gift for Naruto.

Tenten listened with interest at the conversation between Shikamaru and Hinata. She silently wondered about Hinata's question...was she talking about Naruto?

After all, it was obvious that she liked him...and such a shame that the blonde never noticed it himself. But the fact that she wanted to buy him a gift was really...

...cute!

Tenten smiled. She had known a bit from Naruto from talking to Sakura, and she wanted to give Hinata her ideas, but of course, she may have been talking about someone else. "If you don't mind me asking, who's the gift for? I might be able to help you!"
