huh? what?
Kurai's Survival guide to Ria high! you heard me! Ria High 101! Kurai knows not everyone here at Ria high is perfect! Thats why he decided to make this little guide for everyone so they will know what to do at Ria high and what not to do! Think you know everything? I seriously doubt it >:3. Better read this and keep everything here in mind before you make yourself look like a fool XD. Oh trust me. We had people make a fool of themselves before xp.

Survival?
Huh? survival? what do you mean by that Kurai? Well I'll tell you kid. Surviving in Ria high is more like, how you will be liked in Ria high. Basically what to do and what not to do In-character and out of character. Hey why should i know this stuff Kurai? well. It helps you look good in Ria high, and not get flammed by other people XD. Plus it just makes a better community silly!
In-Character Spiffness
Most of the what nots to do and whats to do is really listed inside the rules, but let's keep this in mind. The World does Not Revolve around your character! Every character is unique, every character should work their way to the top. If you just came into Ria high and decide to stab everybody and everything in sight without resting in a resonable sense, your character is otherwise god-modding or some god-sent character. Kurai dosen't like God-sent characters and he discourages it, though he has no rule enforcing it. Why play a God-sent character? where's the fun in that? Where's the Challenge? Do you just want to do this just to piss everyone off? Come on now.
even Villans. If your character's life is just dedicated to torment another persons character. Do it in an honorable effort... not like. LOLROFL I PWNZOR YOU WITH MY ULTIMATE ROBOT OF DOOM. Do it with plot, emotion and *le gasp* effort. Make plots, make sense, don't make senseless violence =_=.
Please don't just suddenly change your characters personality to suddenly occur into a plot. Do what your character would do, don't do stupidity SUDDEN URGE TO FIGHT PERSON, CAN'T STOP. ::MAGNET:: If your character is peaceful. Be peaceful, DuRRR. Of course if he/she is being pelted by a storm of fireballs or space rocks or his/her lovely crush was suddenly stabbed by a long white hair guy with a freakish long katana, then maybe its a good time to suddenly get all emo/emotional and start plotting revenge XP.
In the end. Dude. Character = normal person. If he/she becomes popular in your RPing group (or even in the whole guild *GASP*) then you have earned quite a nice place here at Ria high. Otherwise your just another student and such. >:3
Out of Character Spiffness
The biggest activity in the community takes place in our lovely General thread room. Where many of our RPiers disscuss RP plots, RP characters, RP plans, and most of the time... 'Utter nonsense' XDD. Good behavior and manners are a must here. =_=. I mean come on, Helloooo we are all human too you know. As you probably read in the rules (which you should have >_
Don't be nessacarily an attention whore. You know what i mean. you know. (this is actually a false suggestion XD.)
Don't Go overboard with the :: :: RPs (aka the silly OOC RPing). Don't turn our OOC boards into a "SLAVE RP BOYS IN CAGES GURLS TAKE THEIR PICK" or "KISS IF SEXY HIT IF UGLY" Thread. Those belong in the crazy hell-hole chatterbox thread. Behave with your silly ooc RPing. And if you decide to only do crazy OOC Rping. There's that lovely Chibi Room Thread. The OOC rooms main purpose is not to be used for silly OOC Rping.

Semi-Lit?
What exactly defines semi-lit? I dunno. To Kurai Semi-lit is somone who can RP in a sense where people can go. OOOoooOoo That was your intention and all, and that they won't flinch in pain at how horrible it was to comprehend your writing. Semi-lit RPiers will not and SHOULD not break our one-liner rule. If it does, thats not semi-lit to me.
One-liners
This is possibly the most simple and strongest sepreating line between semi literate and non literate peeps here in Ria high. If you can't make an RP that is beyond our 303 character limit then you just ain't creative enough to keep up with em RPiers. Literate RPiers are not only those who are familiar and have a good grasp on the english language, but its also somone who can think up of a good creative and delicious RP. Thats what the RPier part of Literate RPier stand for =w=!
How to prevent them
So Kurai! what do i do!? How can i make my posts Semi-literate! its so hard!! No ho its not my dear Ria High-yun. All it takes is a little dreamy kinda thought and a little creativity. Let's ummm let's come up with a randomn example and put it a one liner form. Lets seee

Butch walked into the courtyard. Butch was then hit by a green flash. Butch Went up to a tree and whacked it with his wooden sword.

yeah.. not too good eh? Let's try to spiff it up.

The young egotistic blonde haired swordsman Butch came trotting into the lively courtyard with a big beaming confident face. Students about him stared straight at his lavish long blonde hair as it flapped about and shined in the bright afternoon sunlight. The Students knew him well, he was Butch one of the sharpest and skilled swordsman in the school. Though he only uses a wooden sword, he knew plenty on swordsmanship and memorized all the basics of it. However, his common sense and his social skills lacked completely. He believed he was the gift from the lord to the ladies. Many gurls do love him for his looks, but with an attitude like his, he was completely hopeless for love. As Butch was taking his daily stroll around the school he was abruptly interrupted by a sudden flash of green leaping across the courtyard. The Green flash zipped its way across the courtyard finding its way to smack Butch across the forehead and then suddenly dissepear into the large lush tree in courtyard. Butch fell over backwards and landed on his bum as he looked behind him at the large tree. A flash of green!? Butch thought to himself
"THE TREE IS POSSESD" He stated out loud leaping up to his feet. Throwing his wooden sword up above and then onto his shoulder, he looked straight at the tree with a wild battle fury.
"NYA! THE TREE IS NOT BAD!" Shouted out a young female voice with a tint of whiny-ness in it.
"THE TREE SPEAKS! IT MUST BE VANQUISHED!" Shouted out Butch clenching his fist and shook it angrily. He then ran up to the tree holding his wooden sword up above his head and then brought it down with a wild large firm swing. Straight onto the thick trunk of the tree. The tree shook from the force of Butch's sword and shook the very swordsman himself. Leaves shimmy-ed their way out of the tree and all around Butch. Following that was a large pile of apples which just suddenly started pelting Butch in the head. Butch getting apple sauced quickly ducked his head and fleed away from the 'possesed tree' of Ria high.
"Nya HA HA! Nature wins again!" Shouted out the young female voice from the tree.

(Look at all them description words and all. This is probably a little overkill but i just wanted to show you guys what you could do with every lil lovely thing). Basically you get the idea! Don't feel scared or restrained from expressing your characters personality with fun scenes or just the general everyday walk! Look at how much you could just change an entrance into a courtyard into! Dialogue is fun! as you can tell here in Ria high i generally decided to use italic style for thoughts and such. Colour helps to show a variety of voices in RPs and such. It can even help when responding with your RP friend! Say Makie told me in her RP:
"K-K-kUrai? Where did your chains go?" studdered the small brunette as she tilted her head slightly to look about him.
And if i was to respond and wanted to use her voice in my RP. I would just do something like this:
Kurai was about to leave the room until Makie's meek voice froze him in his track.
"K-K-Kurai? where did your chains go?" And with that Kurai turned around to look down at the studdering little gurl.
As you can see i basically quoted Makie there, but changed the colour to give it more a 'flavor' to it. Pretty snazzy thing huh? I like it XP.
Thats pretty much all i can think of here. As long as you just give in the flavor of your character and interact with the enviroment, i think you can give off a nice amount RP which will entertain your readers and yourself as you reflect back on your RPs.

What's Advance Roleplaying??
Advance roleplaying skills varies from person to person, so, you probably shouldn't listen to my guide like a bible or something. Think of it as Kurai' 2 cents and such. Take it seriously or not, its all up to you, I ain't the boss of your life XP.
Length = Literacy?
A common misbelief i see in some RPs is that when people see long posts they go, "HOLY SHITE" thats a literate Roleplayer right there! about 75% of the time, that is true. However to Kurai the other 25% it is not exactly 'literate' roleplaying. 95% of the time it is only semi-literate. I've seen paragraphs and paragraphs of Roleplay sessions and it was filled with just complete and utter nonsense. Redudant sentances, grammer mistakes, and possibly the most difficult and boring roleplays that are just bound to confuse the poor RPing partner he/she is paired up with. I personally love this lil logic in life that i follow. Its called K.I.S.S.
. Which stands for: Keep It Simple Stupid. Literacy is love, but Long uncolourful literate is painful. Like seeing your best friend drown or something. Or having that long silver haired guy come back and stab your other best friend. Simple means, Cute, understandable, and not 'super' complicated emotional nonsense. Think Semi-literate = Digimon and literate = Serial Experiment Lain. Ok Maybe Serial experiments Lain is not the best example for something 'easy to understandish'. But give it to the extent that the literate RPs is a good anime you want to watch and leaves you hanging so you want to read more. Not something where like in digimon, its enjoyable and leaves you rather hanging with the idea that you could do more with it. While in a Literate RP, its already a complete story.

So how Mister Kurai?
Don't look at me man, I know for sure i have a lot of flaws when it comes to Literate Roleplayin. Thats why i made myself a semi-lit to Literate Roleplaying guild. And Lord forbid the day that i am required to literate roleplay for my life. I would be dead within 20 minutes. So what can i do to help those who are interested in 'literate roleplaying/advance RPing skills? Well i know for sure a good RP when i see one. Let me use an example from Star Test #5. And just the first paragraph that she used.
Riyoku Sakimori Rivera stepped lightly across the field. She wasn't wearing her armor this time... she felt that it would greatly hinder her movements. The aural presences across the field reminded her of lost souls, the energy lifting and dropping her silky long hair like it were wind, but without direction. Her silent steps were matched by the bell like clinking of her warchain, the Kairen. Kairyu, upon her back in is silver gilded black sheath gleamed at the draconian hilt. Its crystal pommel changed to a dark violet, as did her war like eyes, one atlantean, one draconian.
Lets review. She already gave a great feel in the begining of the battle. Stepped lightly across the field, that shows somewhat a manner of grace and just feminity. could of used a little more description in the field but i will say this now, that the stage we had her fight in for the star test, wasn't too much to describe. There on the 2nd setance she talks in a sense that even describes her personality and such. She didn't just stop at 'she had no armor on' she continued on for the reason of what she thought would hinder her movements. And hinder is one freakin nice word to use too. There in the 3rd sentance we finally get a feel of not only what the field was like, but also her own looks. Silky long hair, and the energy lifting of lost souls like wind? damn you can almost feel and even taste that sort of description. I found it well worded with some of the words used there too. Aural, presences, silky and without direction? damn yo. As we learned from the 1st sentance she slightly stepped about, but now in the 4th sentance she added it on with the weapon she used. A complete description with her own characters taste of weapon. Weapons for a battle RP is diffently an important factor to describe and such, as we see Riyoku she had done it well with even a hint of Rivera's history to. And then in her final sentance, she made such a nice transition from her weapons into her own body and energy flow that her character is currently brewing up inside her body. Along with another hint of Rivera's history. I deeply enjoyed that, it leaves new readers somewhat hanging and wanting to prod into her history some bit giving them some bait to read on.
Lets continue on deeper into her RP and into a battle scene between her and the monster of her pick
Riyoku Sakimori She managed to cut off its second horn and shatter it before she received a slash on the left arm. Ribbons of blood flew up into the air around her, but it didn't splatter her. The red liquid merely turned into mist and was absorbed into her spell, increasing her speed and attacks. The a dragon shaped burst of lightning flashed over her blade as she made contact with the creature’s right claw, silver meeting steel with sparks and screeches. The creature moved its sleek body in a gracefully arc, bounding over her in a back flip to land nimbly on its large feet, attempting to gorge her with a horn that didn’t exist anymore. Rivera took the moment of its surprise to her advantage and used that as a chance to score a deep wound in its neck, on the right side. She veered towards the left to avoid a head butt. The attack fell to earth, forming a two meter wide crater in the ground, at a height of one foot. The effect would’ve shattered every bone in her body if she had been hit. Rivera wasted no time and hacked down while the creature was still trapped in its own crater at a lower position. She wounded a front paw with a spike lunge and back-rolled away to avoid a bite before continuing with a round of attacks from the Crescent moon pass Series in the Paladin’s volume of Swordplay. Every one of her slashes formed a wave of lightning shapes like a crescent, the mere shockwave from the attack able to score cuts without ever being within three feet of her opponent.
Here you can see a few awesome personal skills and colourful descriptive works. the fox-like creature which Riyoku used about can be seen as an animal with much skill and grace, and at the same time, deadly. The attacks which was exchanged by both Rivera and Riyoku both were shot back and forth with wild description. A few parts of it will indeed confuse the Reader as some of us are not familiar with the history Rivera, but overall. I think these posts kick a** XP. I think you should too.

yeah? Dur! Just being a good member is certainly spiffy and all, but don't you want to stand out in Ria high? you know, as being a good lil kid or an honor roll student in our lil place? you know. So Kurai can give you a lil star sticker and stuff? Or maybe even sooner or later become a guild helper or even a crew member? :O *gaspeth* Interested? read on.
OOCs What NOT to do
Theres a couple of things that you shoudl NOT do if your planning to stand out in the OOC. Here's a few simple basic ones.
Don't be an attention whore. honestly that only brings in more annoyance to our fellow members and people will feel erked in just trying to talk to you.
Don't be a Drama Llama. a.k.a. Drama queen a.k.a. overexaggerater, or more commonly known as: Emo. Oh hell yeah you will get attention very very easily with your drama and such. But angst and stuff like that get oh-so-yet boring and annoying. VERY QUICKLY.
OOCs What TO do
As long is there a list of what NOT to do there is certainly a list of things TO do if you want to be noticed as an honorary member of Ria high.
Do be considerate of everyone. Don't state your mind 'oh-so-freely', it could offend some of our fellow members very easily. Its understandable if you slip every now and then, but if they tell you off, don't go back at them. How stupid is that? you won't solve anything with a extended discussion in Ria high. Ria high is an RPing guild. DURRR. If you want a heated disscussion about your differences, do it outside Ria high? Aite?
Do welcome and help new members. Ok maybe not EVERY new member, but if they ask for some help, try to the best of your ability to tell them what to do. How nice of you would that be?
Catch One-liners. Ria high has reached the point where its a 24-7 Roleplaying guild pratically. how hard is it to catch every one-liners for Kurai? Nearly impossible. How hard is it for the crew and Kurai to catch every one-liners? Also Nearly impossible. If our members in Ria high take the time to remind one-liners in just the RP they are in even, that would be beatiful. It would be even more beatiful if the others went about Ria high to catch one liners too. Heaven would occur to Kurai.
In-Character spiffy stuff
Eventually you may reach the point where everyone wants to RP with your character and you will start getting requests to do so biggrin . Wouldn't that be awesome? But don't let your characters ego get to your head man. Just cause your popular OOC, may not nessacarily mean your popular Roleplaying wise. as usual. Character personality should always stay in touch and all. And don't suddenly never loose fight just cause your popular now. But thats the basic stuff huh? if you made it that far, im pretty positive you will be justtt fine. Not much i can give for the Survival for the Veteran Roleplayers XD. Just remember always, Roleplaying is fun. And Fun is roleplaying.
