It doesn't work like that.
The sniper can't just give the wrong clue.
And they can't just change their mind.
It has to go through the Game Master.
See, the Sniper PMs the GM with the clue.
The GM PMs the Newsreporter with the clue.
Then the Newsreporter does what they wish with it.
The Sniper doesn't contact the NR directly.
And IHD was offline for the entire time that she would have needed to be on in order to correct the Sniper.
And she would have verified the clue before sending it.
Therefore, you are:
A. Interacting with the Sniper
B. Interacting with a fake Newsreporter
C. Interacting with a real newsreporter that's on the Sniper's side
D. Lying.
I would say that the person claiming to be the Sniper over AIM is not the same as this one claiming to be the NR because of the way they type, but when I pretended to be the Sniper over AIM on a different name, I was able to change the way I typed.
Either way, I would not trust these clues.
