Either someone is steealing my money or something!
I've lost a total of 2400 today.
Seriously, WTF!
When you bid, does the money automatically come out?
That would explain 400 of my gold.

In the Marketplace when you bid the money leaves your account and goes towards the bid.
Thats what happened.
If someone outbids you that money will come right back to you.

Hmm~ I can't think of any other reasons besides what Kohana already said.
Have you accidentally bought anything?
... Make sure there aren't any trades in your trade history that you didn't know of, just in case someone did hack your account~
I have heard of cases of disappearing gold and items before. ...I haven't heard of any in a while though. The admins don't guarrantee your items/gold though so if it's randomly disappeared then I'm afraid that you can't get it back. ^^;
My sister has randomly lost a shirt before, but I haven't randomly lost any items. (Thank goodness. ^^;; )

All fixed. >.< I randomly lost my first distance rod. That pissed me right off it did. I mailed two mods about it. Neither ever replied. I tried contacting an admin but I don't really know any. I never got it back. Luckily, it's never happened again.

A guy in another forum lost 2 angelic sashes and the ninja headband (the naruto one) and some other expensive stuff. I've lost chump change compared to him...oh well, I shall! I will! Get more Gold!

Ouli, that's awful. D: But yeah, you can't really get things back when they randomly disappear. u.u
This reminds me that my bro gave me his distance rod and I have yet to try it out. <.< >.> I must go do that. =P
And, dianersj, the best way to prevent people from hacking your account is to have a password that's not easy to guess. Also, never give your PW to anybody, not even friend or family. =P
And don't give out answers to your security questions. ^^

Recently I recieved a pm saying DREAM AVITAR? and it was blue like a link, so I clicked on it. When you go to the websight it will say at the top you are now leaving Gaia, remember that, and remember that. The page exists of a lot of nice dream avitar with high priced items, and a question above them asking "is your dream avitar here?" then it says below them or next to that "get your dream aviter now" or something like that along with "all the items you ever wanted" then to the side there is a sign in which looks a lot like the sign in for gaia but remember you had left gaia. Most people, including me would think well I havnt registered yet so maybe I might be able to use my gaia account let me try, then they use it, but I thought that since I left gaia someone else was asking me for my gaian name and password which seemed like a scam, so I typed in like haisuen and a password of irhgbvu and pressed sign in, and on the next page it said haisuen username and irhgbvu password have been sent to thesistesting@yahoo.com, so you actually just email your username and password to the hacker then he breaks in and gets your items and sends the link to all of your friends. I just found the link DO...NOT...SIGN...IN...WITH...ANY...REAL...USERNAME...AND...PASWORD...THIS...IS...A...HACKER...SCAM... http://www.gaiaonline.com/gaia/redirect.php?r=http://www.regalprintingpress.com/gaia.php This s**t is real so please send it to your friends list it is this is bad, you have to send this you have to send this crap I don't want anything bad to happen to ppl this is bad!! damn hackers

Either 1.) you've bid on somethings in the Marketplace, 2.) went on a shopping spree without remembering it, or (as the worst scenario) 3.) got hacked. I hope either 1 or 2 have happened to you. sad
