Imal had finally found Chiboa. Her happiness was evident when the bounce in her step returned. A hum surrounded her as her mother's lullaby filled her head. Her full belly and happy thoughts were enough to send her over the moon. The bright day had finally melted had melted into day as she trotted back to where she and Chiboa had declared their home. It was odd for the female to be so happy around a male that she had never met but she felt happy none the less.
She dipped her muzzle into the dirt and tried to find his scent in the tall grasses. She was quite anxious to get back to him but one question was still on her mind.

Jamaa strolled around again looking for that elusive little ratel that he knew as a friend. This time it was for something important. Last he remember was that he made a den somwhere....perfect a place underground where the dog can't see. It's been a long time so his scent was vague.
Jamaa laid his nose onto the ground to find just a little bit of his scent but he got something entirely different. This scent was new and he knew it. It was of a female, almost reaching adulthood and somewhere nearby. He looked up with his golden eyes to see if he could spot this female. Topas will have to wait, his self-rule comes first.
Quickly he trotted through the tall grass in the direction of the scent, fortunately he was downwind.

Imal continued trying to find their den. It was easily spottable during the day but at night it was impossible to find. Atleast it's cooled down a bit. SHe sighed and looked up at the stars. She didn't remember the cluster that their den had been under. The female cursed her memory as she tried to catch his scent again.
Soon another scent came to her. It wasn't Chiboa but it was another male. An adult male. Her nose lifted as she sniffed the other out. It seemed so familiar.
"Who's there?"

"Ya catch on pretty quick now, huh, Imal." he said emerging from the grass. "It's been a while. Don't tell me you have already forgotten me now." he said with a grin. Jamaa was obviously taller, so to be more polite he lowered himself below the female's, well as he was taught.
"Where's Chib? I could have sworn that he would be with you." he asked, though this makes it better for him without the male around. This gives him the chance to talk to her personally rather with her mate around.

Imal turned quickly to the other male. Her eyes focused on his pelt and roamed his body.
"Jamaa?" The simple name, to her, was hard to conjour up. The fur on her neck smoothed as she began to recognize the other. It had been quite awhile even if she had barely grown. "No. I haven't forgotten you. I'm just tired I guess." Her tail swung behind her as she fell to her haunches.
"Chiboa is at our den..." An internal darkness clouded her eyes as she thought of him.

"Ah, so he wasn't lying. Then that means you are his mate, that is good to hear." he smiled. "Must feel lucky having such a strong....rather gruff male for a mate, huh?" he grinned teasingly.
"But that is not what I came here for. Imal, about the other day with Kiji...." he started. "I'm sorry for what happened. Kiji was just worried for his mate. I was just worried about my sister. Jamaa has no idea about what happened but could it have been that bad?"

Imal looked to the ground. They weren't exactly mates but lovers sounded so wrong when it came from her mouth. "Yes. He's decent enough and knows how to protect me." She smiled weakly. "I guess it's nice to have him around."
Her heart skipped a beat when he mentioned the two. "No...I understand. It's not your place to apologize." Her gaxe redirected to him as she crawled closer to the male.
"Jamaa. You seem nice enough. Would you mind giving me some advice?..."

Jamaa cocked a brow, "What is it?" he asked. It wasn't something he often did give advice, he wasn't the smartest creature. If it weren't for Topas and Goma he would still be taking in third person with fragmented sentences.
"I have a mate myself. So whatever it is I think I can answer it to an extent." Wondering if it may take a while, Jamaa sat down and made himself comfortable.

Imal took a deep breath and settled herself on her belly. It was hard to get up her throat but she needed help.
"I'm so sorry for dumping this on you Jamaa but you have a mate and I am having a few problems with mine. Well, not him exactly but...our future." She stopped for a moment to clear her throat. It seemed dry as if her tongue would crack at any moment.
"Chiboa and I haven't quite mated yet...but I was thinking about it. I do love Chiboa, in every way but I've been having second thoughts about it." She sighed and frightfully continued on. "I really want his pups and I want to be...intimate with him but...", her voice cracked slighty,"...I'm afraid to."

"Heh, I feel you there, Imal. I may have a mate, and I may have been taking care of a litter with her. But they aren't mine nor have I mated before." he admited. It was true, the three pups Temari had was with another male one that upped and left her. He never mated with Temari, especially with all this stuff happening; the pack, Temari's emotions, and Kizaki. Jamaa just had to wait and help her through it.
"I've known Temari for a long time. We cared for her pups both. I did my best and so did she. I have thought of mating with her but I felt like neither of us were ready..." he paused, he was opening up to someone he barely knew.... "But I wanted this but I had to make sure she wanted it too. I just haven't gotten the chance yet. If you really want to become close to Chib, you have know if you are surely ready for everything. The litter, his love, and your life."

Imal was confused when she heard Jamaaa speak. "Her litter isn't yours but you still take care of them?" The brown female began to wonder if the had become mates afterwards. SHe had never known a male to take care of anothers pups but she kept it in mind.
"Temari is lucky to have you then. I don't know many males who would let her have kept the litter."
Her own thoughts went back to her question. Imal wanted pups but she didn;t know if she was quite ready or if Chiboa would wait that long before he culd mate with her. Everything was building up within her to the point that she was opening up to a total stranger.
"I haven't talked to Chiboa about it but you know him. No that he has me he just constantly wants it. I can tell by the way he looks at me..."

"Yeah....they aren't mine, but they are just like it. They look up to me as their father and I them as my own sons and daughter." he said thinking of the three when they were able to run. "Does it matter that they were of another male's body? They were in my care and I could not let them be harmed."
"No...I am lucky to have her." he spoke with a dreamish grin.
"Well, are you willing to give yourself to him? Body, life, and all? Are you sure you are ready for such a commitment?" He asked, testing if she really wanted to do something like this. Jamaa knew he was, he had proven that with Kizaki, Demani, and Poki. He loved Temari and he wanted to prove it to her.

Imal smiled weakly and nodded. "YOu make a valid point. I suppose it wouldn't matter if they were from a different male, as long as they are loved." She had never been in a situation such as that before but it seemed as if Jamaa was in love with his family.
"Temari sounds wonderful. Perhaps I will meet her one day if you'd let me." Her tail wagged once again as he confidence rose. Talking with Jamaa was helping her even if her didn't know it.
"I want to. I really do." Her eyes became down cast once again when thoughts of Chiboa came back to her. "I want to be a family with him so much and he's already proved his love for me." She smiled a bit when she remembered how he had fought off that dog. "Sometimes I just wonder. I hope it's normal to think this way. I couldn't bear it if I was the only one who doubted like this."

Jamaa nuzzled her, "No, Imal, I have doubted myself numberous of times with Temari." he said. He always that she still loved the male that was the father of her litter more than she did him. Sometimes the thought came back whenever he saw the teal on the pups. "But, the only way to truely know if you are ready is when you could think of no other reason. Imal, if you really love Chib, want a family with him, wouldn't you want to make him happy?"
I know I'd do anything to make Temari happy. The copper brown dog smiled, "If you want to speak to Temari I promise to direct her your way. Though that would leave me alone with the pups." Jamaa chuckled.

She listened intently to Jamaa. He seemed so wise in love even though she had only met him a few nights ago. Everything seemed to be happening so fast and she was just a long for the ride. It was nice to finally get some help and be able to sat some control in her life. "You've doubted Temari? Even though you seem to love her so much?" Imal was nearly ready to go back to their den at those words. Even though Jamaa loved her, he still doubted her. Rust colored tail wagging, she nuzzled him gently.
"I guess you're right. I would be happy with a family and I'm sure he would be too. Thank you Jamaa."
