Introduction and Plot

I haven't actually ever started a role-play before, so I'm trying my luck.

Yes, I do have a plot. Any role-play I'll take part in has to have some actual substance. Shiori and Yukina go missing, and when they show up again, they are children! Other than that little detail, they are returned unharmed, with no fight or anything. A woman in Makai, Kasai, is suspected of doing this, as well as several other things effecting the spirit detectives, but more specifically, Kurama and Hiei. The thing about the girl is that she doesn't hurt anyone during her games, though she easily could do a lot more damage. Aside from that, she basically signs her work. Kasai /wants/ them to know who did it. Of course, they have no idea what she looks like, what kind of demon she is, or even that she is a /she/. (Kasai isn't strictly a woman's name, though it may sound so.)

This will start in the human world, before they go to search for the strange demoness. Yukina and Kurama's mother have already been returned, but it depends on if I have anyone that wants to play them whether they participate or not. By the way, they don't have their memories. Kasai used a potion related to the Fruit of Past Life, but the effects last until an antidote is administered. There isn't a known cure.

Now, this is important. The main couple is to be Kurama/Hiei, since I won't have it any other way. I don't do romance aside from that. And no, it doesn't have to be all stereotypically lame. I don't need an elaborate love confession or so, nor them being all obsessed with the other. I want this to be as in character as possible, considering the subject matter.

Rules

1.) You should be literate! One-liners kill me. Really, they eat me in my sleep. Use proper punctuation and such, as well.
2.) The above includes that chatspeak is not allowed under any circumstances, unless you are making some comment irrelevant to the actual role-play.
3.) No Mary-Sues. I have a phobia of them.
4.) Do I even need to say to follow the TOS? Keep it PG-13, people.
5.) Keep your character in character. Don't make me hate you.
6.) Just be nice and have fun. Make this a pleasant experience.

Actual Characters

The most needed character is Hiei, so I won't let just anyone play him. So I might say you can't be Hiei, but gladly let you be any other character. I strongly encourage being a character from the show.

As character's are taken, I will add it here:
Kurama is played by me, K a s a i.
Hiei is played (very wonderfully <3) by Daftendirekt.

Made-ups

As for made-ups, they are allowed. I don't want this role-play flooded with them. For every one actual character, there may be two OCs, at most.

If you just /have/ to play as an OC, you need to describe them properly. I need to know their name, age, appearance, personality, and race. I want more, but won't require it.

    My Character/ Antagonist

Kasai "Antan" is wise for her relatively young age of twenty-seven. She loves mind games, which could be attributed to being three-fourths psychic. Her grandfather was a fire apparition, but the rest of her family were demon psychics (or so she claims; she may have a small amount of human blood). The only weapon she knows how to use is a katana, but she rarely has one on hand.

Her eyes are a pinkish-burgundy color, her skin is very light, and her hair is black and extremely long. Even for a demoness, she is quite tall; just over six feet. The woman's clothing varies, but usually she wears something black, with a lighter color that matches either her latest piece of stolen jewelry, or her eyes.

As far as her personality goes, Kasai is a complete puzzle. The psychic likes to help people more than anything, but takes pleasure from the torture of others. She doesn't hesitate to commit murder, but won't even lay a finger on someone she respects, even if that respect is very one-sided. She often does favors, but cleverly masks them as something sinister; Kasai doesn't want to be noticed or thanked for what she does. Seeing the results is enough. Romance... she hates the thought of herself being in love, but she helps other's relationships along. Her eyes are set on two specific demons— Kurama and Hiei. She has observed them enough to think there is something between them.

Simply put, Kasai has good intentions, but isn't quite sane. Very smart, yes. Powerful, sure. She has good control of her emotions. But she has serious mental issues. No wonder, since that part of her is based off of me.

    This is her.
Her bangs are prettier, though. xD

I'm sorry to make you have to read the wall of text, by the way. I didn't intend it to be that way! We start this off when I have at least two other characters.

I would like to be NightDragon, Kasai's evil bodygaurd/assassin/follower. I would like being the evil person. twisted I can do evil. If I can, I'll make up some backround info on her.

May I be myself or my avatar it self? I love doing that.
Hiei? I don't want to be Hiei and whore myself to him. I will probably suck at it. And get off character.

((Yes, you may both join as made-ups, if you wish. You'll have to figure a way to fit them in, though. Them disappearing from the main scene for a while might be needed, also. Because I don't see anything happening between Kurama and Hiei while being watched.

As for Shadow, Kasai isn't the type to have a minion, however, a friend would be fine. My character works alone, and also isn't really evil.

And Seriphim, I don't mind Hiei being a slight bit out of character. Just as long as you try, it'll be fine. You could give me a sample of you as him, if you want.))

((That kind of thing is good. It's really just humor.

I'll type up an intro as soon as we get a Hiei.))

(I'm interested in playing Hiei. Um, I could send some samples from another RP I'm in. Though I'm not sure I'll play him exactly to your liking. sweatdrop )

((Ah, I've gone through your posts; I think you could do well enough. Just as long as you don't, you know, making him wear pink, skip around, and make out with Kuwabara.))

Where /was/ Hiei? The little demon was supposed to meet the fox at the park an hour ago. Maybe Mukuro was giving him trouble again?

Or, perhaps, he hadn't heard of the trouble involving his sister. If he had, he would have been after blood a /long/ time ago. Surely he wouldn't have bothered to be relieved that she was alive.

Their latest mission wasn't assigned by Koenma, so more than likely Yusuke and Kuwabara wouldn't know about it. But, if they caught wind of it, both would be there in an instant. Yusuke had been willing to sacrifice himself for Shiori, and Kuwabara, well, everyone knew how he felt for the koorime.

Kurama glanced at his watch again. They should have been in demon world by now; their latest lead could already be outdated.

Even demons were so... naive. Like humans, almost. They would just run into danger, ignoring a possible threat. They were strange like that, when those they cared for were in danger. The great Youko Kurama had softened considerably... now, he wouldn't be recognized even by his closest of old friends, Kasai predicted.

Loved ones worked as such good bait, allowing even the smartest of creatures to... use judgement not quite up to par. Good thing she was an only child, and her parents were probably suffering in Hell.

The psychic raised her hand, having it level with her chest, and summoned a small portion of energy, then shaping it into a small silver orb, one lined in a soft burgundy. In this, she could see things that were occuring then, like a crystal ball, in a way. This common technique was probably where humans got their ridiculous idea.

She had been keeping tabs on Kurama and Hiei, just watching over them. It was almost like watching human television, except slightly more interesting. At least they weren't lame actors.

Hiei was late, and he knew it. It had to be something important, or relatively so, or the fox wouldn't have sent for him. Though Kurama had arranged park meetings for reasons that Hiei didn't care for in the past. Not that Hiei hated to see him. Kurama hadn't seemed hysterical in the letter, but there was an urgent quality to it that Hiei needed to meet him now. So perhaps it wasn't because he'd planned a get-together in celebration of someone's birthday.

Hiei offered a 'tch' and used a tree to aid in his leap. Everything around blurred, the world far too slow for the Forbidden Child. He stopped, and his surroundings seemed to falter. It was always like the trees thought they had been moving that quickly, and would fall over. It was never hard to spot Kurama. Especially when the park wasn't so full of ningen. Hiei didn't bother to clear his throat or give any signal that he was behind Kurama. He knew that the fox had keen senses. He always waited.

Naturally, Kurama sensed the other coming. Apparently, he had seen no need to hide his demonic energy. Plus, he had a sort of connection to him, one which he couldn't explain, so he passed it off as friendship.

"You are late," the kitsune stated simply. "I will not, however, ask what kept you."

"I do wish to inform you what has occured. It involves your sister, as well as my mother," he went on, looking for a trace of emotion on the apparition's face. The fox managed to seem completely void of emotion, just to keep Hiei in suspense. It was, in a way, a teasing action.

True, this was wasting time, but a few minutes of stalling wouldn't matter, compared to the hour that the half-koorime kept him waiting. One could say that it was... revenge.

Hiei kept his stare steady. Though when his sister was mentioned, he narrowed his eyes. Kurama seemed calm, so what the hell was the problem? Sometimes he hated the fox for his tranquility. "And?" Hiei demanded, his eyes seeming to flash. If this was some sort of joke, Kurama would pay dearly. Somehow he could not imagine the rest of the Tantei leaping from the bushes and screaming, "Gotcha!"

No. He could imagine the detective and the fool doing that. Though he enjoyed the thought of Kuwabara tripping over the bush. He dispersed those thoughts and returned to Kurama. He waited again, thinking dryly that the flower-coddling redhead was lucky Hiei thought him worthy as a friend. Friend? Hiei didn't care much for that word. But at the moment he couldn't think of another category to place the fox.
