-.-; training has gotten slow. Any Ideas?

Also about how much str vit and int and dex should i have for a GC crusadeR?

Edit: When this was originally posted I was 45/34... I've leveled some..Found some help from Dustiness, belive it or not.. But they're getting slow now too... Can anyone suggest good training where I WOULDNT need a million potions?

OR can anybody help me personally? I'm on Sakray.

your str can be as low as 30 or 40. Int should be high since this will be the stat raking in damage output for your GC. High int means magic defence too. Next highest stat is vit since it will stop you from dying from your own GC damage + mob's damage output. Dex should be somewhere like 40? Ive seen others go up to 50 i think.

I leveled my swordy in Byalan at that level, but then it was going for an agi/vit knight. I'm not sure where an int swordy should level. For gc, you'll want 99 int and you'll want it asap, since that's going to be what you're going to level off of once you turn crusader.

Thanks to everyone.. I guess I should start putting my levels on pure int for now..I put my Vit a bit high, but I think I can save his build yet.

18 str
5 agi (started)
42 vit
15 int
36 Dex
10 Luk

Pleeease tell me I can save him ^^;

If I can't, am I close to any alternate builds?

Your just starting the game right? hence you dont have zeny to buy a fireblend?

What most people do these days is they get a double client so you can play two characters at once, create another account with a mage. Once they're in sharing range you can take the mage and your swordy to louyang and station the swordy somewhere safe, I'm guessing the front gates of louyang since its populated in my server as the safe point. After that party them together and put it on share exp, go and kill Mi Gaos with Vertical Firewall + Firebolt. Its the cheapest way people use in order to lvl their hard to lvl characters these days.

Otherwise yes it looks like your going to be stuck in bylan for a long while before you become a crusader.

Is your build mendable? Possible yes, but its really going to be slow. Getting vit too early and having 5 agi your aspd is very slow hence you'll hit slow which leads to lvling slow. Str is alright, possibly raise it to 20 or higher if you plan on staying bylan without giving up. If your str is low you should compensate the low str with a weapon more suited for killing marine monsters so try to grab your hands on a wind damascus and it will do you wonders in bylan.

Other thing you can do is to choose to become a knight. If thats the case leave the int where it is and focus on getting 30 str first and then 30 agi then back to str and this time reach about 50 and then raise another 10 agi. From here on out, raise the dex to 44 and stop raising dex. You should now concentrate solely on getting your str very very high, in the 90's. I'd recommend getting 96str from then on.
Once you reach knight, get yourself a Brutal Shield, and a ice pike. Get yourself the following skills, lvl1 peco riding, Max Cavalier Mastery, lvl1 spear mastery, max pierce, max brandish.

Get yourself a Ice Pike, and if you can a Brutal Shield.

Go and spam pierce on minorous in morroc. You can find them cultivating inside the pyramids, bottom floor. Pierce attacks a large type monster 3 times hence if you followed my instructions you should be doing near 1700~2400 damage per pierce depending on how you strayed off from my instructions. Anyway this is if your planning to think twice and make a knight. If you choose to make a sader, its possible to lvl on Mi Gao with a Fireblend casting lvl 3 bolts and play hit and run tactic if not make a mage account and self leech yourself. Nuff said

PS: If you havent noticed by now, I love Knight class

Define slow?

And I'm not just starting.. I have a level 68 assassin..Dagger
a 40 somewhat merchant and a 50 somewhat acolyte...oh yeah..and a lil mage ive been considering giving up on, but I'm not sure yet.

My current main source of income is Blue herb harvesting. thought I'm lazy with it cuz my comp sucks.

Should I go pure int for a while to save the build? Cuz I'd really prefer Crusader to Knight. Once again if I'm good for any other sader builds, lemme know.

BTW..Sorry but where is Bylan again? sweatdrop

Bylan, AKA Biblian AKA bibs is out of Izlude.

Go to the north east and talk to the sailor by the boat. You'll have the options to sail to bibs or alberta.

Don't use him for alberta tho, if you talk to the sea captain at the top of the steps, he'll give you passage to alberta for half price.

Battle Sader? Theres also Agi Spear Sader. But having never made a crusader and having limited knowledge about GC saders, I can't quite quote on how to go bout lvling towards these builds. A good friend of mine and I started swordsmen and he made a Battle Sac/Shield? Sader while I made a Hybrid Spear Knight. He seemed to have been lvling his swordy on Sandmen, maxed his Magnum Break and mobbed Sandmen until job lvl 50.

If your going GC I'd take either these two routes.

Get yourself a seperate account from your main account, make a mage and lvl him up until he can share with your swordsman, have two accounts setup in louyang and leech yourself on the mage killing Mi Gaos. Thats one solution.

Or Grab yourself a Fireblend and start lvling in Louyang casting lvl 3 Firebolt and use hit and run tactics on a Mi Gao. At first you wont do much damage on a Mi Gao with your low int so partying with a low lvl mage (But can share with you) and tank Mi Gaos using provoke+running around in circles while the mage kills it. Problem is

1. Is there a mage willing to put it on share and leech you while you tank?
2. How competitive is it for Mi Gaos on your server?

From what I heard people who go to Louyang for Mi Gaos tend to like soloing, is generally rude saying things like "If it took you that long to kill it you were just asking to be ks'd" etc etc.

I'm sorry I'm not rich like you people (j/k about the you people crack)... I can't afford 2 accounts..Fireblend is expensive, but I have kind of wanted one..Soooo yeah. Maybe. Thanks again.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 28, 2006 7:32 pm

you dont need to be rich to have two accounts. I just make a 40hour account which is free since 40hour accounts are for trials. make your mage on that.

fireblend is not really expensive. well least not on oro anyway. 1.5mil?

I would dread being a newbie on the 'established' servers here. I can't speak for iris, and sakray is cliquish ...

But our Chaos is insanely NOT newbie friendly. Great if you're established, but fresh out of the training grounds? Hell, someone I know is coming back after a 2 year hiatus, had sold all his gears..and is having a bugger of a time trying to reequip...even tho his character is 95.

You know your economy is whacked and your perspective shot if you have 50Mz and are considered 'poor'.

The only consolation is "at least we aren't mRO/pRO"
