Don't ask don't tell policies are the most idiotic thing ever... Other countries have gotten rid of it, and the impact was none, so America should follow the example.

Quote: But the GAO also noted that nearly 800 dismissed gay or lesbian service members had critical abilities, including 300 with important language skills. Fifty-five were proficient in Arabic, including Copas, a graduate of the Defense Language Institute in California. Okay, good, they mentioned that. I find it absolutely ridiculous that they continue doing this even though it costs so much more and is a general pain in the a** for everyone. Why must people be so stubborn?

Because he's gay, and anybody that's not a white male protestant who owns the majority of a large business just has to deal with being owned, his being gay, and the restrictions placed by bourgeois society upon him are examples thereof.

REDGallenger This story was featured on "The Daily Show with John Stewart" last night! The one where the man was sitting there translating Arabic while the interviewer was dancing around like "Partyboy" from Jackass?

What exactly was HE going to do? Why would anyone be worried? Like he could rape a highly skilled well-trained soldier! Or what, he's too poofy to hold a gun? These people need to make up their minds, are we mindless, sex-deprived predators, or are we girlish poofs who are too afraid of breaking a nail to hold a gun?
I mean, look at him! Oooh, threatening... stare

I was wondering why our forces (meaning the number, leadership abilities and effiency) have been called "inadequete" repeatedly. This would explain it. Well, it isn't like we're trying to bring democracy to a war-torn country threatening to break down into civil war because of all the psychotic, fundamentalist/extremist forces terrorizing the cities. Upholding archaic homophobic tendencies is more important than that, anyway. stare
