I was in Japan until I was 7-8 or so, and since I was 5, I was Super Sentai fan. I watched it with my cousins when every new episode came on.
I loved it.
Then, the bad time came.
My dad announced that the company was re-locating to America.
I hated here.
One day, I saw a power rangers commercial and I was excited to see it on tv.
I saw one episode and I was really dissapointed.
The acting was fake, I couldn't picture the American octors in the suits, and the whole thing seemed like a jip to me after growing up with sentai.

I was forced to grow up on Power Rangers since I had never heard of Super Sentai initially. Of course after I got my first taste Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers was no longer watchable to my eyes...We feel your pain dude. I can still watch 3 Power Ranger series though. Thank you, Power Ranger Generations.

I grew up with both. I didn't understand the sentai though I always liked it better. Power rangers lost it to me in the third season because of how they ruined one of my all time favorite sentai, Kakuranger. I try to watch it now and again but I really can't bring myself to keep watching the series after seeing the sentai anymore.

I watched from Fiveman til about Ohranger or so when I was young, since my relatives from Japan use to send us tapes of anime and stuff.
Then, when they brought it over to America, and renamed it 'Power Rangers,' my mind was in the middle of wondering why the heck I'm seeing those 'familiar scenes' from Zyuranger and those other shows...
Older, and a bit smarter, all I can say is...I like my Sentai shows the way they are: As what they were originally.

All the americans do is take the fight senes and dub them with the japanses fights.
And you can always tell cuz the only thing americans have going for them in the show is video quality.
They go from the actors talking in good video res.
Then they change and the screen gets darker.
and a lil more blurry.

Xxdevil-stylexX All the americans do is take the fight senes and dub them with the japanses fights. And you can always tell cuz the only thing americans have going for them in the show is video quality. They go from the actors talking in good video res. Then they change and the screen gets darker. and a lil more blurry. don't forget the monsters always attacked the "China Town" district
