Well.... yea. bout 2 week ago, i went 2 my 1st tournament @ gurnnee mills. and to summarize it, I sucked. I got 10th out of 13 people. 13th was some guy, 12 was my brother, 11th was some other guy and 10th was me. I didn't get any $$ but i had a great time. also, my dad made sum Music videos of the Competition. I'm gonna enter Next month and I'm gonna meet letsddr there. oh well i'll try. BUT i saw this guy there from team Z. HE WAS INCREDIBLE! HE DID MAX 300 ON STEALTH AND DARK! HE GOT ALL PERFECTS until the middle and then he messed up and fail but wat he did was insaine!

I'm always so afraid to compete in tournaments because I'm afraid I'll suck. Plus, I have no presence whatsoever...I just hit the arrows like a retarded monkey. >.>
The closest I ever got to being in a tournament was at this math convention, where we brought our DDR pads and had a party. It was so much fun, only four of us could play even halfway decent. And we got my teacher to play! It was the funniest thing I ever saw. whee

MAX 300 is an awesome song. I can beat it somtimes but not that often at the arcade (I mean on heavy). I started out by playing it over and over in Step Mania. Then I started playing it at the arcade. I can get a B when I'm not really trying. When I am trying I get C's or fail.... whee

redface stressed I can only do Max 300 on light, but only just. Well i guess I could be worse, I get C's and (if im lucky) B's on Max 300.

If u want to be respected @ the Arcade by those who can get a AA on the Legend of Max, u have to get good on heavy. just keep practicing and you'll get that respect. I did. I get a bunch of respect from a lot of ppl.

not to be a damper on the mood, but did he do Max 300 on shuffle? If not then he could have just memorized the first steps. They aren't that hard. I have a friend who can play Tsugaru Heavy facing away from the machine, but only until the gallops stop and the runs begin.
And don't let feeling like you aren't worthy keep you down, theres always someone that you can 1-up, and if need be, at least you realize that theres room for improvement. NEVER turn into the type of people that master ONLY the hardest songs, then fail the easy ones because "The easy songs are beneath their skill level."

I'm big on tounrnaments i've been in couple and i did pretty good, but i memorize songs and then i have to make up differnt moves myself to do along with the song but its always so much fun

HE GOT ALL PERFECTS until the middle and then he messed up and fail but wat he did was insaine! depends how the tournament is held... in Holland we only had 2 NationalChampionship's.. first you get a random song, which everyone has to play as first. then you get to pick your own. the random song is just a matter of luck, and skill. better luck next time! what i can say about that guy from Team Z....somebody needs to now the difference of being good and over doing it. its pretty nice that he could do something like that, but it shows that he plays that song WAAAAAY to good forhis own good... i fear for him that he would last long... playing that song so much = killing your legs slowly!
