This is basically just for the break up that is going to happen between these two.
PostPosted: Tue Jul 25, 2006 3:48 am

Nyoko hadnt been out of the house for a while, he had meet a new friend and was getting on great with him but he decidedto take a walk in the moonlight to think things through. He didnt want to leave the angel alone but he insisted so he did as he wished and went for a walk, making Skye stay with him untill his return which, thankfully, the angel didnt mind.

So many things to think about and yetone thing that had been playing on his mind for a while now, dispite his efforts to forget it, was the fact that he still had to talk to Val. A part of him hated what was going to happen but it would be better in the long run for them both and he knew his mother was right in needing to do this.

Nyoko walked into a place he had found once before, a clearing in the woods that were on the parks boundries which also had a small lake near them that was occupied by ducks. At night the moon shone upon it, giving off a nice glow and during the day it was perfectto come and sit in the sun or what not. Moments later he arrived and took a seat, making sure his dagger was near him just incase and just sat there hugging his knees, thinking about the situation at hand with him and Val more so.

Night was, admittedly, at least this angel's element. Tonight he wondered with a wistful ache if it had always been so. The moon had a strong pull, the evening breeze like no other felt comforting on his pale face, and even his shadow seemed muted and hesitant in the haunting moonlight. If he tried, he could be as empty and cold as the sky around him.

Woodland swept beneath the dark-winged angel in a blur. If he looked straight downward while skimming over treetops, it was impossible to see any detail. He wanted to clear his mind, and this, besides taking a long swim in a glacier-fed river (and developing hypothermia in the process), seemed to be the best way to do it.

Finally he slowed down his flight and glided in a broad circle. A ways off there was a clearing where the glimmer of moon-reflecting water peeked back at him. And making his descent, he saw something -or rather, someone- else: Nyoko.

He landed quietly, with a soft, muffled flapping of wings. He could have gone unnoticed, but did not want to. The angel scuffed his feet on the ground as he held his elbows in front of him. "Hello, Nyoko," he said quietly, staying a short distance away, incase the cabbit was upset about something. "Are you all right?"

Nyoko, despite knowing the out come of their meeting, was happy to see the angel, his voice was warm and welcoming on a night like tonight. "I am fine I guess, stuff has happened but im fine, just thinking about stuff more or less. How have you be Val?" He asked with a soft smile upon his face, pleased to see him once more as he had missed the angel greatly, as a friend or boyfriend? He wasnt sure, but either way he was pleased to see him again and that he was alright.

Ah. He had been thinking... That was comforting to a degree at least. The angel stepped closer, a faint smile brushing his lips. "I am well myself. I came out here for the opposite reason: I wanted to stop thinking." The chuckle was on his face, if his throat made no sound. It was as if the moon had frozen laughter fast. "Do you mind if I sit with you a while, Ny?" he asked in a gentle voice.

Nyoko softly chuckled "well then perhaps you can help me to stop" he said some what playfully, knowing that it wouldnt turn out that way but still the thought was nice. "And of course you can join me, I would love it if you did join me, I have missed your company greatly" he said to the other, blushing a little as he looked away. He didnt know why he was blushing when he knew what was to come, Nyoko put it down to the fact that a part of him DID like him in that way still despite what had happened and will happen.

"Hmn," Val grinned lightly and sat down beside Nyoko, at first looking up at the sky. "I missed you too." He looked back at Nyoko, the cabbit's blush lost to the night. "Have you met many new people?" he asked gently, still smiling but half-worried that Ny might need an escort. It seemed laughable that the angel would be the one to introduce him to new people, but he did know people who knew people...

Nyoko softly sighed as he looked back at the angel "not really, made a few friends with some of the other kids who are now adults at the estate but other then that no." He said to the other, wondering if he should tell him about the angel, sure he was a dear friend to him, he and the angel even have started something up between them but...

Nyoko was sure he would want to know but still he felt alittle guilt as it was, technically Val and Nyoko were still together and Nyoko went off and kissed another. It wasnt exactly something you tell you still boyfriend despite the circumstances, Nyoko didnt want to lie to him so he decided to not tell him about the other angel...or at least not now...

Something was obviously bothering Nyoko. As far as he knew, it could only be connected with Val's question. However, it could also have something to do with those Ny had been interacting with back home... "I see," the angel nodded. "I'm sorry I was so harsh before, but I believe you should try to go. So I'm wondering if you would like an escort?" Val smiled reassuringly.

"I would loveon but please, let us stay for a little longer? I dontreally wish to start going home just yet, not when someone at home told me to take my time. I dont want to return home 20 minutes later when he knows I wont have thought as much as I should have or whatever. So please, can we stay just for a little longer?" He asked the angel, just wanting to spend a bit more time with him alone before they left.

Sure, he knew they could break up anywhere but he just wanted to do it sitting down and not walking down the street or whatever, he also just wantedto stay in Vals company a little longer. As friends, he had missed the angel,he didnt wanttolose him again so fast no matter what the reason behind it was.

Nyoko sighed a little "and please, dont apologise, its fine really, I understand why you were" he said softly, hugging his knees once more. "Besides, you and I have to sort out where westand do we not? Another reason we shouldnt leave so soon" he said as he turned away, wiping a tear that had started to fall.

Nyoko knew this was comming, he knew that they had to speak and not just tip toe around it and he knew breaking up with Val was for the best. Nyoko was sure Val felt that way to, but still as as much as he knew this it was still hard on him, besides, this is Nyoko, since when wasnt he sensitive about almostpractically everything?

Besides, most importantly, as he thought to himselfbefore, he didnt want to loseVals company when he had just gotten it back after so long, he just wanted to keep it fora bit longer. Nyoko bit his lip, thinking for a few moments and looked up at him smiling softly alittle "would you care to go for coffee and something to eat? My shout."

Nyoko asked Val, perhaps sitting in a cafe eating and drinking something might be a smarter move then being in the cold and catching your death of it.

Val leaned back in mild surprise. "I didn't mean now...or even tonight necessarily. When you're ready, of course." He knew things had to be taken slowly with Ny, especially since they had last met. Perhaps slower and gentler than the angel had thought. Perhaps he wasn't ready to go at all... So Val leaned back on his elbows and stretched out, wings folded around him, as relaxed as a big cat. Maybe if one of them was relaxed the other would relax as well?

But something really was bothering Nyoko. It had been bothering him before Val had even arrived and had not changed with his presence. He watched Nyoko with calm dark eyes, hair threatening to fall over his face. It did not however obscure the act of Ny's turning away as he spoke of working out their situation.

He found himself bonelessly sitting up again, regarding Nyoko with a sad smile. He knew what the cabbit had been thinking about and what this meeting was to become. He took Ny's hand in his own gloved one and kissed his knuckles gently. They were so cold...

"Ny..." he murmured gently, trailing off. He was not sure whether to go with him or stay out here, and it had nothing to do with his dislike for crowded rooms. Nyoko thought he was doing this the right way, and perhaps it was of little consolation, but at least Ny was no longer terrified of him.

He brought Nyoko's fingers to his cheek. "Would you care to fly there?" he asked softly.

Nyoko shuddered a little at the angels touch, it was warm, pleasing and welcoming just that he wasnt expecting it. He looked up at the other and smiled softly as touched the angel as tears fell from his eyes, he wrapped his arms around the angel and hugged him.

"Thank you for everything" he said in a soft whisper, audiable enough for the angel to hear as he started to shiver a little due to the cold air but ignored it. "You truely have been so kind towards me, ever since we first meet despite how things have turned out, I love you Val" he said to the angel, in a friendship way more then any other way.

Nyoko was truely was pleased to have the angel in his life, as a friend or boyfriend, he didnt care which, he was just thankful for meeting the angel when he had. True, life would of been that little bit less complex in a way but he didnt mind, he was just pleased to have the angel in his life no matter what they were.

Valentino smiled warmly down at Ny, returning his hug with a wrap of arms and cloak. He felt the shiver of cold and felt a chuckle flutter in his throat, nearly chided him for going out on a cool night without at least a jacket. Running fingers through his silvery hair and brushing his ears slightly, he held the cabbit's head close, murmuring, "I love you too, Ny..."

Ever since they had first met all he had ever wanted to do was protect Nyoko. Even now, in this clearing, he felt the same. But how could he ever hope to explain that to Nyoko, that perhaps he had always loved him... just not the way he was looking for? Tonight, for the first time, it would seem that they had come to an understanding, without discussing a thing.

The angel smiled again, this time feeling more content. Without a word, he whisked Nyoko off his feet and into his arms. He looked into the cabbit's eyes with a gentle smile and said, "Let's go get that coffee." And with a few beats of two sets of wings they were flying through the air.

Nyoko picked up his dagger seconds before they took off and sheathed it, he then held the angel close, ignoring the tears that were streaming down his face still. He wipped the tears away despite a few still falling and just kept close to the angel, taking in the sights as they flew as it truely was beautiful up there, especially when he was feeling safe, warm and protected with the angel.

Though one question remained, when would he see the angel again? He didnt want to wait months between meetings, he didnt want to feel like he was smothering him either. However, because he has become close to the angel he just wanted to be around him just as much as before despite them being friends now.

He enjoyed the others company greatly, he didnt want to keep the visits to a minimum, he just knew that once Val found someone else he would probably be to busy for him anyway. Understandable right? Val has his own life without needing to worry about an ex boyfriend even if they were friends.

Nyoko knew Val wasnt like that, he had proven it more then once, however, right now, just thinking of not seeing the angel on a semi regular basis just scared him. It was stupid, he knew that, but he just knew he would miss the angels company greatly as he did love it and the angel so...

Nyoko cuddled agaiesnt the angel a little closer as he started to silently cry again, he enjoyed the sights off and on but still this was a little scary for the cabbit, emotional also. However they knew it was for the best yet why was Nyoko still finding this so hard to deal with? Was it just because he was scared he wouldnt see Val again for another three or more months or did he truely love Val more then even he first realised?

Either way he just wanted tonight to not end, he just wanted to spend as much time with Val as he could, even if it meant sitting int a twenty-four/seven coffee shop just talking. Nyoko just wanted, at least just for tonight, to stay with him as long as possible, he just didnt think he could bare going home tonight when so many things seemed to be haunting him still.

Though granted, the most 'important' one that was bothering him was when he would see Val again, IF he did. He trusted he would see Val again and soon, yet with a nagging voice in the back of his mind he couldnt help but think other wise.

It was true, when he was growing up with his brothers, what Skye said to him was true, he truely was pathetic. If couldnt handle something small like this then how was he meant to face the world? His brothers words might have been cruel since he was on drugs at the time yet he could see some truth in them.

Nyoko just shook his head to clear it a little and just kept close to the angel, keeping silent as he enjoyed being held in the angels arms. Nyoko was pleased and thankful that the angel remembered the flight they spoke about, it truely was a wonderful experience despite him having other things on his mind.

Nyoko was terribly regretting that he did though as it seemed to ruin the flight a little he couldnt keep his mind on the wonderful sights, his mind would rather stray to the thoughts he pushed to the back of his mind. So thus, it ruined the flight a little despite him trying to not let it, it was just to hard not to.

The hot stain of Nyoko's tears on Val's shirt did not go unnoticed, though only seconds passed when they slapped coldly against Val's chest from the chill night air. Was the cabbit happy, moved, or torn? The angel kissed Ny's temple, resting his cheek against the side of the other's face for a few moments before spiraling downward to a dark part of a park below. No need to possibly startle anyone on a night like this, though anyone with half a mind to look at the stars would have seen them anyway.

Val touched down lightly with a flutter of wings that folded not behind him but around both of them. "There's a nice place just outside this park," he said softly, nodding down the path before them. Perhaps Nyoko would even recognize this place, he really did not know.

He kissed the top of Ny's head, face buried briefly in cool silvery hair. "Are you all right?" he asked, a general question that left the cabbit to decide what he wanted to say... warm or cold, happy or sad, or simply a yes or no. The smile on his face was gentle, quietly interested and a bit concerned.
