White paws shuffled silently and sure through the darkness of the tunnels, white mane feathering around his blue hide with each step. The normally calm and casual lion wore and especially smug grin on his maw tonight as he crept along to a favorite spot of his, a spot he often went to to enjoy his own particular...pleasures.
The chamber he was headed for was fairly small as far as underground caverns went, about the size of a bedroom. There was a narrow hole in the ceiling that just breeched the surface, letting in the light of the stars above. The earth here was soft and loose, lacking the hardpack of the higher traffic areas. Toward the center there were some smooth stones and a small pool of collected moiture that seaped from above ground, it's depths added to by the rains that sometimes dripped from the crack above.
Not really bothering to take in the decor of the chamber, Ali headed casually toward on particular corner where a very specific type of fungus grew. It was this that was his target. Grinning to himself, the blue lion picked one of the shrooms with his jaws and settling into the middle of the room with his prize took a bite out of it.
The effect didn't take long, and within moments the lion's pale eyes were glazed over, a low purr rumbling strangly in his throat. He couldn't help himself and soon he was rolling in the dirt, his tail flicking about in a narcotic state.

The lioness padded lightly along a nearby tunnel, taking a moment to sniff the dirt, checking for scents. A half-smile on her face, she paused and looked round. There was Ali, there... and recently. Tiacapan started off once more in the direction his scent took, into the small chamber. She tilted her head.
Her fellow pride member was acting awfully strange... was he hurt? Tia bounded forward and then halted just short of the other lion, eyeing him with mild confusion. Rolling around and purring...? Lifting and eyebrow, the lioness prodded Ali with a forepaw, gingerly.
"Are you um...alright, then?" she asked uncertainly.

The blue lion titled his head, glassey eyes focusing on the blur that was Tiacapan. He was crouched, his front end in the dirt, his rear proudly raised to the sky, tail flicking about like a flag.
"Yeah dude, couldn't be better."
He took another bite of the strange mushroom, this time devouring what was left. He turned again, rubbing his face in the earth before flopping over onto his side and batting at something with his paws, though what it was only he knew.
"Ah...what brings you down here?"
His words were slurred, more accented than usuall, but he didn't seem to care. He was a happily stoned lion.

Tiacapan looked utterly baffled as she took a seat next to her friend, tail sweeping around to cover her paws. She craned her neck over him to see what he was eating, and blinked.
"What is that, Ali?" She prodded him again with the flat of her paw, looking confused and a tad worried. He SAID he was alright, but he was acting very strange... which was saying something, with Ali.
"I was just sort of wandering the tunnels.." she said, tailtip flicking almost irritably. In truth she had been, but had also half been looking for him, having found him to be odd but excellent company.
"Are you...sure you're okay?"

The blue lion didn't answer for a moment, he was too occupied with batting at the invisible objects. But it seemed the objects fled, for the lion had rolled onto his back and was now grinning like a lunatic up at the blurry lioness.
"eh? Only the best thing in the world."
Seeing as he had already devoured his mushroom, he couldn't show her. So he sat up, making his way shakily to his feet, then stagged back to the far corner to collect another. Grinning he trotted, or rather pranced back to the center and flopped back over onto his back, his paw raised to offer the object to her.
"Ya wanna try one?"

Tiaca watched him muzzily, confusion scrawled on her face. He seemed...erm, happy, but also a bit dizzy...sort of. How strange. She looked down at the offered fungus and wrinkled her nose, lifting a brow at Ali. She could almost understand the shrimp-like creatures, but this?
"A... mushroom?" she leaned forward to place a paw on the blue lion's forehead, as if checking for fever. "Ali, I do not believe that you're okay,"

The lion didn't seem to hear her, at the very least he simply brushed off the words, rolling over and over on the floor until his back made contact with one of the stones which prompted a giggling fit.
"Don't hate, dude, you gotta relax, be cool, go with the flow."
He snickered quietly to himself, brushing some invisible object from his shoulder before looking at the mushroom he still held in his paw. Well if she didn't want it... Raising it to his mouth, his tounge darted from his lips to lick the odd fungus. A smirk crossed his maw, but a moment late he froze, as if a thought had suddenly struck him.
"Hey, is anyone else hungry?"

"Hate?" Tia repeated, completely confused now. What was so funny that had him laughing like that? Agh! The lioness huffed and stalked off to the corner of the cave where he'd found the odd fungus he appeared to be obsessing over. She poked one, and leaned down to sniff at them. Frowning, she sat back, tail flicking.
So that was it, was it? She'd heard of sorts of frogs they got in jungles that made creatures...go rather dizzy upon eating them, and she suspected this mushroom was a similar item. Sighing, she slunk back to Ali, uncertain as to the specific effects of the fungus, and a bit worried still.
"...hungry?" The lioness resisted the urge to bang her head against a wall. She simply shook a tuft of hair from her face and tried to help him into a standing position. "Er, yes, very hungry, let's go get some fish, shall we?" she said in a tone that indicated she was not at all sure of his sanity.

Ali simplly smirked as he was pulled to his paws, then promptly fell back to the earthen floor, rolling around in a fit of hysterical laughter at the fact that he had fallen.
"Fish?"
The idea of fish prompted another giggling fit, althoug why no one could say. But his face went serious for a moment, and deciding that Tia might try to take his prize, he quickly scarfed the second mushroom in one bite.

"Oof!" Tia fell back down as Ali did, surprised by his sudden flop. As she pulled herself up, shaking dust off, she sighed again.
"Yes, fish? You know, shiny things, swim around in water? Unless you'd prefer something else... you DID say you were hungry," the lioness added a bit resentfully, feeling that she was being mocked. She knew in some compartment of her brain that this wasn't true, and that Ali's mind was just scrambled, but her ears folded back slightly anyway.
"Do... do you really think eating those is such a good idea..?" she asked weakly, flopping down in the dirt next to him and trying to disengage her rational thought process before it started to malfunction.

By now Ali was thoroughly intoxicated and quite stoned, his thoughts broken into incoherent fragments, his ears barely making sense of Tia's words. He laid thoroughly covered in dirt, drawing shapes with his paw that only he could have made sense of.
"Oh yeah...fish....they make little faces like this."
He pursed his lips, making the best fish impression he could, lifting his paws to flap like fins at his sides, then bursting out laughing at the hilarity of it all. His sides still shaking with ridiculous laughter, Ali turned to look at the lioness, uttery confounded by her question.
"And why wouldn't it be?"

Tia was trying to get used to Ali's new 'mood', barely flicking an ear as he did a rather good imitation of a fish, though one of her eyebrows raised almost impreceptibly.
She shook her head, settling into a sphynx-like position next to him and eyeing the drawings he was making. "Nevermind, nevermind," she mumbled. The effects didn't SEEM harmful, anyway...

Ali layed still for a time, his only movement from him being his paw tracing patterns on the earthen floor and the shaking of his sides with each ripple of laughter. It seemed he was still thinking of fish, and everytime he did it made him burst into giggling all over again.
As stoner's often do, the blue lion's mood shifted and without getting off the floor he scooted toward the liones and began sniffing at her, pawing as if searching for something, like a dog after crumbs in the sofa.
"Ya got any food? I'm hungry."

Tiacapan merely watched Ali with caution, as if making sure he wasn't about to accidentally hurt himself or something of that nature. She looked faintly bemused.
"Agh!" she said as Ali pawed and sniffed at her, holding him off with a forepaw placed firmly on his forehead. "No-oo...but we could go find some," she offered wheedlingly. Anything to get him out of that cave and acting normally again... well, as normally as was possible, anyway.
She stood and stretched, twitching her tail playfully across his nose. "Come on. I'll go with you."

Ali had flopped onto his side again, looking at her with a stupid grin, his tail flicking about. He laid there for a moment as if debating, then finally rolled to his stomach and somehow managed to push himself to his paws, though how he managed to stay upright with as much as he was swaying was a mystery.
"Kay."
Flashing a bright and rather idiotic grin, the blue lion staggered and pranced after the lioness, making fishy faces behind her back and bursting into random giggling fits.
