There have been many times in MMOs when I'm playing a female character and a guy character walks up to me and gives me a good item or weapon. Usually I just say, "Thanks" and then the guy seems like he is going to say something in response, but instead, he runs away and/or logs off. sweatdrop
Afterwards I'm just like, "Okaaay, that was...weird. 0.o"
Girls: Has this ever happened to you before in an MMO?
Guys: Have you ever done this before? Why do guys do this?

God, yes. I was playing WoW today with my friends that are guys. This guy runs up "LOL HELLO I HAVE SOMETHING YOU WOULD PROBABLY LIKE TAKE IT AND LOVE ME PLEASE"
And, then when I made a gnome just to see what their jokes and stuff were, this little guy comes up behind me and starts dancing, and well. I don't know if any of you have seen Male Gnome dancing but it isn't very nice. xD

I've never had it happen to me before, but my best friend seems to have a knack for attracting high-level male characters who are overly-generous...and are "quitting" and parting with their rares...
Kinda ticks me off sometimes, especially as all I seem to get are low-level stalkers... rolleyes

I can honestly say I've never done that to anyone. Thought the only MMO I've really played is Runescape because my computer and internet suck. Anyway, I've only offered to help new ones girls out. I'm to chivalous sweatdrop

Oh, god yes. I play a male character as my main in WoW, but I don't make a secret of the fact that I do, in fact, possess a uterus.
People don't give me rares (rares that I'd really enjoy can't be traded) but I'd get things like flowers and candies in my mailbox around Valentines Day and got showered with rose petals.
Kinda odd, really.

Hmm, only once, but girls are treated strangely on MMOs anyways....
MapleStory-
This one guy (higher level) and I teamed up. "I'll kill, you collect." I just kept getting experience for all the monsters he was killing and I got to keep all the stuff from the kill. And he gave me some of his stuff too. ._.
I didn't mind, since I got the free experience and stuff, and he wasn't like, "OMG heart BE MY G/F AND LET'S CYBER!"
Runescape-
"Will you be my g/fWill you be my g/fWill you be my g/fWill you be my g/fWill you be my g/f??!?!?!"
After I humiliated this one guy in front of a bunch of people, he said he "wasn't giving up yet" and kept following me around, calling me, "fine."
City of Heroes-
I was beating up a bunch of thugs, and then this one guy (standing idly by......grr.) invited me to his team. 3 guys, and me. "I think I'm in love. HUR HUR."

Ugh. After awhile I started making male characters to avoid it.

In Guild Wars I was teamed up with this guy playing as a girl ranger, and I was a girl necromancer. When he found out I was a real-life girl, he gave me a thousand gold and a really good staff just for the hell of it. It was awesome. smile

All that free stuff stopped when I got my boyfriend. And I almost always play girl characters and he guys so people assume we're a couple and don't give me stuff! gonk
But I don't miss it, I got stalked alot, especially in FFXI. .___.;; So much unnecessary drama.

Hmm it was cool for awhile in FFXI...The first friend I made was a guy (a normal one, not an over zealous stalker type fellow), and then I met...uh, Daisukes. He was so cool for awhile...yeah, he always helped me level up and stuff. We watched fireworks and seemingly romantic crap like that. I figure, hey, it's a role playing game, why not go along with it? So I did ( xd : I know I'm a bad person!) and after a short while he wanted to get married. o.O I said ookee...he started freaking out. He was online CONSTANTLY trying to earn money for a wedding. Like, day and night. I actually kinda worried about him ^^" Annnd then I had to tell him I was going on a vacation to a ski resort...and he said "o man I wish I could come w/ u lol, i'll miss u! when u get bak i'll have the money for the wedding <3" and then my computer broke. I've not spoken to him since. o.O
And my first day on guild wars I was invited into an all guys guild called something like..."All Balls" xD
