Instead of patrolling the area, Ari had begun making her way to the den where new life had been born only a few weeks ago. The charcoal female moved quietly, and quickly as she scanned the area for any intruders to the land. When arriving at the den, the sky blue eyes peered into the cave, looking around for the female. "Tisha?" She called out quietly, sitting at the entrance of the cave. Was she awake?

Quote:
It seemed only yesturday that the adult had her youngest cub, a small female by the name of Nephthys. However, time was not so willing to let her remember, for as soon as her young child opened her eyes, it seemed as if she was always on the go. Tisha never had the issues with Tafari, and now a days her legs grew weak with the strain of continuous movement, and her eyes heavy with the events of her cub always wanting to eat and play.

"Nephthys, you are something else..." The adult murmered to her finally slumbering cub, before her ears perked and she looked to the front of the den. It appeared that somone had come to visit, and as soon as the words started to echo, Tisha donned a warm smile across her maw.

"Ari..."

Quote:
Aha, so she was awake. Ari moved into the den after hearing her name. She purred quietly, moving towards Tisha and giving her a motherly nuzzle. "How are you doing?" She glanced towards Nephtys. "And how is your daughter?" She smiled, gazing at the small Tisha cub, before sitting down.

The queen had so many questions to ask the white female, but she had to wait. Some of those included who the new male she had seen in the den the night Nephthys was born, as well as if her son had been helping her with the cub. She also wondered if the daughter had contracted anything from...Tisha's mate...but that question would've been answered when Tisha was good and ready to tell.

Quote:
Tisha continued to purr softly, a sort of lull for the daughter to slumber and focus on. As long as the cub could hear the purring, she wouldn't be awakened by the talking. Bi-colored eyes glancing up towards Ari, she smiled once more and looked out to the sky.

"I have been alright, mostly working on my recovery from the birth, as well as trying to keep Nephy here in shape and well entertained. She is getting near the age of being able to play with the others..." Trailing off at that, she just looked down to her daughter with a silent dwell, taking a moment for her to think before she looked up towards Ari once more, "How are you, my friend? It feels as if we haven't talked in many months...though I know that to be wrong."

Quote:
Ari nodded as the female spoke. She knew about recovering from births, but it was probably much harder since she didn't have a male (mate wise) to really help. What she did have though, was Tafari and Hasidi, and those two were well enough to help Tisha out in this time. Occasionally, Ari would have to come down and help her, or bring one of her daughters in to help. But for now, what Neph needed was her momma, and what Tisha needed was the bonding time with her daughter.

"If your daughter ever starts to wear you out, and you need a break for a day to catch up on some energy, always know you can come to me, and I will watch her for the day," The female purred, gazing back to the white daughter. "She's an energetic one?" The female guessed, smiling softly. Her second litter was almost grown up. Kenai seemed to be gone now.. but the twins were still around as well as Isoke.

"I am well," Ari nodded. "It seems...my granddaughter has made it to this lands somehow, along with another pridelander." Ari said quietly, remember the first encounter with her granddaughter. "Your sons..how are they?" It was question time. They had to reacquaint themselves before the questions had stopped.

"My sons are fine, Tafari has grown well into his adulthood, and has grown out of some of his habits...I have a feeling he has discovered a romantic relationship but sadly doesn't realize it. Sometimes I don't think he will ever get out of the den and into his own..." As she mused over her son, she thought about his new look, his grown mane, and how strong he had become as an individual compared to before. Nothing could stand in his way, though sometimes he had to take a few hits to realize it, and she warmly could agree with any if they assumed she was proud of him.

She has always been proud of Tafari.

"Now Hasidi is...well..." Tisha looked to the side a moment, "He hasn't been home in awhile...I believe he went outside of the lands, and is currently enjoying the freedoms he has been given. I know he will come back, he loves it here, but I also know he needs to search his past...and I am sure that is what he is doing right now..."

Wondering softly if she should talk about the newest addition, she decided she would wait, considering he wasn't quite her son. Just a lion she promised to watch over.

Ari smiled at her first sentence. "I wish my oldest was still at home..." She sighed softly. All of her first litter were grown and out of the den. One had dispersed from the pride while the other two lived in hte lands. Even one of them had a son...making her a grandmother for the first time! But poor Tamu...he was the only son left from Ari's first litter to yet find a mate. The poor heir needed to find someone if he was going to be with, if he was going to take over the pride one day.

"I'm sure he is fine," The female said quietly. "Boys...need to wander sometime I guess? Denahi was always like that." She said quietly.

"I saw another one in your den...when you had your child." Ari began. "Do...you know who he was?"

Tisha seemed to almost smirk darkly, though it was sarcastic in a way. She had the feeling Ari would ask that question next, for the adult seemed to have a lot on her mind. What was worse though was the idea that Hauzu'l had yet to meet the royalty, and he has been in the lands for weeks. Clearly, she had not been paying enough attention to the boy.

"Hauzu'l you mean...the darker one? I know him for I am his guardian...though with recent events, we haven't been able to present him to you. I met his father while I was on the borders, and though he loved his son passionatly, he had too much wandering for the boy to be satisfied, or experience the gift of friendship. So as he was on the way to the pride, I spoke with him and took Hauzu'l in...not as a mother, for he has one, but as a guardian. I guess the boy is still getting used to these lands..." Tisha did not see the flicker of the cubs ears, though she felt the familiar shift of her daughter awakening, "Nap time is over already..."

"He was dark in color, yes, but I am afraid I do not know his name.." Ari murmured quietly. "Guardian?" At the words, Ari's ears perked to listen to the story. Tisha had a...knacked for taking little cubs (or juvenilles for this matter) under her wing. "It's a shame...the life of wandering I mean. Perhaps he and his father will be reunited when the time is right." The queen nodded.

Sky blue eyes fell onto the awakening cub. "She's such a doll." Ari grinned slightly, loving little newborns.

Glancing up at Ari with a skeptical gaze, she held a joking smirk before adding, "When she is asleep, yes." And with that, she lowered her head and gave Nephthys a lick, the cub's mewling showing that she was ready to be awake.

"Nephy darling, there is someone here to see you."

Mewing again, the little female opened her two light blue eyes and blinked around, clearly already gaining some motor skills that most cubs should have. Purring deeply and curling closer to her mother, she turned her eyes onto the queen, and smiled slightly before tilting her head.

"Hi!" It was short, cute, and clearly the first word she had learned, for right after she continued on, "Hi, hi!"

Ari giggled quietly, her tail curling around her paws as the sky blue eyes gazed into the ones of light blue hue. "Hello there." Ari grinned, flicking her tail slightly before rising. "What's your name?" The older lioness asked the female with a small smile, wanting to get the know the youngest member of the Kusini lands. After all, this little girl was the daughter of one of her first friend's upon arriving here, of course she is going to want to know the little cub!
