Koin stared at the klipspringer from the tree. "I wonder if she's okay..." he mumbled. He hadn't bothered going to sleep, since he wasn't tired.

The birds had flown away after spotting the red and white colored dog. He glanced up at the sky. It was leaving night now, and the sky was pink from the morning rays.

He watched the clouds for a bit, before looking back at Chachili.

Chachili had been sleeping. She had fallen into a deep, deep slumber, and had been resting for some time before her eyelids began to flutter. Opening her eyes, Chachili's cobalt blue orbs shone brighter. She wasn't so tired anymore.

Best of all, her fever had gone down. The rest had been a good one. Chachili was on the way to recovery. Like Koin had suggested, it was most likely just stress that had made her feel ill.

Koin!

Chachili shot a glance to the tree. Was Koin still there? The klipspringer hoped that he was... she felt safe with the wild dog guarding her.
Turning, she noticed the dog.

"You stayed," Chachili said, gratefully, "Thankyou."

"Yeah," he replied to Chachili, hearing the gratefullness in her voice. He jumped down from the tree.

He nodded. "It was nothing," he said as a slight morning breeze ruffled his fur.

"It seems you're feeling better," he said walking towards the klipsringer.

Chachili grinned, nodded, then kicked out with her back legs.

"Filled with new energy, in fact," she said, smiling, "I feel much stronger, thanks. I could wrestle a lion and come out without even a scratch! Maybe I should do that, today."

Of course, Chachili didn't really wish to wrestle a lion. But she did want to make it seem that she was well again. The pain had faded. A good night's sleep had done wonders.

"I'm feeling much better! But a little hungry... tell me, are there any rock plants around here?"

Her stomach growled.

He watched his friends with with new life buck her back leg. He smiled lightly.

"Wrestling a lion? Sounds like fun," he chuckled, not really meaning it.

"I'm glad you feel better..." he said with a light nod.

"Well... I don't know here and rock plants are..." he said. "Maybe we can wander to find some. Follow the wind, maybe?"
PostPosted: Fri Jul 21, 2006 1:35 am

Chachili nodded.

"Following the wind, eh?" she responded, tilting her head a little, "You can do that? I mean, I can smell things, too... but when we're downwind and all..."

She beamed.

"Your nose must be pretty good, then, Koin. A little help would be apprechiated. But, I must ask... why are you doing this? A lot of the wild dogs I know would hardly stoop so low as to helping... 'meat', like me. I'm a prey animal... you know that, right?"

Chachili looked down to the earth below. She hated admitting that fact.

She was just... dinner on legs.

"Following the wind is fun. You never know herre you'll end up," he said with. "But, smelling things," he said "It easy as drinking water. It just flows."

"Why I'm helping you? Hmm... Well, I don't usually stop and talk to anyone. I did stop and talk to you, and you didn't run. It's really a once in a life time thing..." he said

"Plus... I like your personalitly..." he said.

"A prey animal? Hmm.. never thought of you that way..." he said. "You have a life... There for you have meaning. Live it to its fullest," he said.

(Sorry! >.< I was called to dinner!)

Chachili's eyes softened.

Following the wind...

It sounded nice. Maybe she should learn to listen to Koin a little more... he seemed the type of wild dog that knew what he talked about.
And, listening further, Chachili discovered that he valued life... what a strange thing for an animal of the savannah to do!

"Th...thanks, then," she sniffed, blushing a little from the praise, "You're personality's pretty nifty, too, if I may say so. Ah, and... well... yeah. Thankyou. I'm used to being chased and hunted, so excuse me if I'm a little shakey," she grinned, puffing out her chest, "But I'm not scared of anyone. I'm a fighter! The best there is!"

She reared up on her hinds legs, then gave a snort. Her stomach, however, growled again, ruining the triumphant, heroic pose Chachili had created.

"Ah," she choked, embarrassed, "Well, I guess we'd better go looking for rock plants... you can follow the wind to find them, right?"

(sokay. I was roaming about and drawing))

"Best fighter there ever was?" he said with a light chuckle. "Okay. And why is the gratest fight ever was, shakey and being chased?" he said jokingly.

"Hmm... the rock plants should be easy enough to find..." he said thoughtfully.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 21, 2006 2:35 am

"Well, uh, you see..." Chachili's ears flicked back, "Well, the shakey thing is just an, uh, act. That's right! If anyone lays a paw on me, I'll skin 'em, I will!"

She said this with a grin. She was obviously lying, but it was Chachili's habbit to lie like this. It was good fun, and made her feel more secure. Plus, it made an interesting conversation, sometimes.

"Rock plants, rock plants, rock plants..." Chachili's thoughts strayed from the lying to the growling of her stomach, "Hmmm... uh! They should be around the water-hole, I'd say. Do you know the water-hole? It's an awesome place... I often pass by there. It's a fun place... but quiet, usually, at dusk and dawn."

"Alright, I believe you," he said chuckling.

He could tell she was lying, but he liked her spunky attitude, so he let he continue lying.

"Hmmm... water. so, strong moisture, so.... " he started sniffing the air. "That way..." he said pointing with his paw.

((:doesn't know the layout: ._.))

((Thassokay! xD I don't, either. ;D ))

Chachili nodded.

"You sure do have a good nose," she said softly, but then shook her head, embarrassed. All this praise was beginning to make Chachili nervous. Too much praise seemed a little... odd. Very, very odd indeed.

"Moisture, eh?" Chachili sniffed the air, too, following Koin's example and trying to imitate his every move, "Ah! I can smell it, too. Once we begin to get into familiar territory, we'll be fine. I'll be able to know my way, there."

She trotted forward, alongside Koin.

As they walked, Chachili looked to the wild dog.

"After this, Koin," she asked, tilting her head, "What will you do? Do you have a family to look after, or something of the sort?"

((xD))

"My nose isn't that good. I usually don't use it,' he said with a chuckle.

"After this? A family? No... I don't have a family to look after. I don't even remember having a family..." he said, embarrased a bit, for bad memory. He also sadden for being so stupid as to nit remember his family... he didn't remember a wild dog family anyways.

((Can we continue later? I'm sleepy. I didn't sleep all night. Its 6am :heads off: ))
PostPosted: Fri Jul 21, 2006 3:05 am

"No family?" Chachili asked, eyes glinting with a hint of sadness, "Ah. Sorry."

She hadn't meant to have brought up the topic. It was a bitter subject, as not many had happy family memories. Chachili did not, either. But she had been making conversation... and the question was at the tip of her tongue.

Plus, Koin seemed like the type of wild dog who would be good with raising pups. Chachili just assumed...

Sighing, she looked down.

"Almost there," she said with a brighter glint in her eyes, "Just a little further. I'm beginning to recognise some things..."

(( Sure! =D See you later, then. x3 I need to go, too. <3 We'll continue later! ;D ))

"Nope none. It's not really a touchy subject for me. I let it go as a pup," he said.

He looked at her as she sighed. "It dosen't really matter... It's okay that you asked."

"Okay..." he sniffed he air again. The moisture was strong now. He nodded slightly.
