THE GALLEY ~ A SHIP'S KITCHEN ~:This Week's Menu:~- Grog, Ale, Wine - Ten Bean Stew with onions and carrots - Roast Fowl with Stewed Greens - Grilled Cheese Sandwiches with Fresh French Fries - Officer's Desert for this week: Doughnut Twists b] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Destiny strolled around the galley, inspecting the supplies in the pantry, the knives, pots and pans, utensils, and other assorted equipment in the cupboards and cabinets. Well, I think that this will be a fine place to work in. I just have to re-arrange a few things, and it will be perfect. she thought to herself. She busied herself re-organizing the galley to her liking. Then, a thought came to her. Why not make the captain and crew a celebration dinner, to celebrate the Lady Washington's next voyage! She smiled to herself, already planning the menu in her head. Over the course of the afternoon, she cooked a feast fit for a king of pirates. As the evening meal hour drew near, she set the food out on the long tables that everyone used. There was roasted beef, potatoes, carrots in cream, cabbage slaw, two chickens, and fresh ale in pitchers. She wiped her hands on her apron a last time, then went on deck and rang the dinner bell. " Supper's done! Come and get it !"

Westra bows from the waist, and says " Thank ye much Captain. Will you be joining the feast to toast the future sucess of the Lady?"

Westra escorted the Captain to the head of the table, and sets a fine white china plate, with blue etchings around the rim before him, and also a fine crystal goblet filled with a rosy wine.
" Eat up all, let me know if you need anything. I have to go check on the deserts."
Westra turns and dashes back into the galley, anxious about the brownies in the oven, and the jello in the cooler.

*pokes head in doorway* Food!!!!! ummmm...*sits down at a random spot at the table* Looks sooo good. *starts to look around, sees Captain Kurisutofa.*

Hearing another voice, Westra dashes out with more china, cutlery, and a crystal goblet for wine. She sets them in front of the pirate and says
" Help yourself to anything on the table. There is white wine in the green bottle, and red wine in the clear decanter. There are pitchers of dark and light ales down the table. I hope you enjoy. I'm Westra, the cook. And you are?"

Westra stuck her hand out and said " Glad to finally start meeting members of the crew. I hope to get to know everyone eventually. They all have to eat sometimes right?" she said in a joking manner.
" I'm usually good for a few ales and tales before turning in for the night."
Westra walked back to the head of the table. Sitting down next to the captain, she asked quietly " Cap, Is it to you that I give a list of needed suplies for the galley? And how long do you plan on being on the open ocean? I need a rough idea, so I know the amount of foodstuffs and supplies to order."

Destiny poked her her head out of the galley into the dining room, as the compliment was thrown over Kubain's shoulder.
" Thank'ye kindly. Always good to be noticed and appreciated."
She got back to work sharpening the kitchen knives.
Now, Westra was very good with a knife, both with throwing and in battle. She could also come up with creative uses for them on enemy soldiers. twisted
